2024 NFL Divisional Round Over/Under Betting Picks | MyBookie Regular Season Preview

2023-24 NFL | 104th season of the National Football League
NFL Divisional Round: Thursday, October 25th – Monday, October 31st, 2023

Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens

O/U Odds: 45.5
Saturday, January 20th, 2024 at 4:30 pm | ESPN, ABC. ESPN+
M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD

Houston was fantastic in the wildcard round against Cleveland. Part of their offense was the interception returned for a touchdown. Now, they get a Baltimore team that is going to be healthy and ready to battle. While the Texans are not going to dominate as much as they did on the offensive side like they did a week ago, they can still get to 20+ points. Can the Ravens get to 27? We think so. Lamar Jackson is crafty and will use all his weapons early and often. Look for the Texans and the Ravens to go OVER the 45.5 point total for the game on Saturday.

Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers

O/U Odds: 50.5
Saturday, January 20th, 2024 at 8:15 pm | FOX
Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, CA

Jordan Love was fantastic last week in the upset win over Dallas. Another road game, and we think Love can be good again in this game. The 49ers are solid, and Brock Purdy continues to shine. Christian McCaffrey should be back and ready to go. They also have Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle, along with other targets. This should be a fun game and another game that goes OVER. The 49ers are almost always getting 30+ points. We like the OVER in this game on Saturday from the bay area.

NFL Divisional Round O/U Picks: UNDER 50.5 | Bet 49ers over Packers

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions

O/U Odds: 49
Sunday, January 21st, 2024 at 3:00 pm | NBC
Ford Field, Detroit, MI

Tampa Bay has times when they just struggle to score. While Detroit is an offensive team, we like this game to go UNDER. Most of that is the fact that the Buccaneers do not hold up their end of the bargain.  The Detroit defense is better than most people look for it to be. We will go with the Lions winning this game 27-14 over the Buccaneers and keeping this game on Sunday UNDER the total.

NFL Divisional Round O/U Picks: UNDER 49 | Bet Lions over Buccaneers

Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills

O/U Odds: 45.5
Sunday, January 21st, 2024 at 6:30 pm | CBS
Highmark Stadium, Orchard Park, NY

Patrick Mahomes on the road. In the cold weather of Buffalo. Mahomes is not scared of cold, as he played in the cold in the win over the Dolphins. Kansas City wants to keep the score down in this one. They are not going to be up for a shoot-out type game. Buffalo is okay pounding the ball on the ground, whether it is with James Cook or Josh Allen. Look for a lower scoring game than most experts are predicting. Kansas City and Buffalo both have talented defensive units. We are going to take the UNDER 45.5 in this game on Sunday evening, with the winner heading to the AFC title game.

NFL Divisional Round O/U Picks: UNDER 45.5 | Bet Bills over Chiefs

2023 O/U Picks for This Week’s NFL Games | Divisional Round Betting Analysis

And then there was 8. Yes, the Wild Card Round is officially in the books, and we are now ready to move onto the Divisional Round. With each passing round, the pressure begins to mount on the teams that survive. That said, there are a couple of teams among the survivors who are essentially playing with house money. The New York Giants win was not a massive surprise, but it is always tough to go on the road and get a win in the playoffs, which is exactly what they did. The Jacksonville Jaguars are the biggest surprise in this group and suddenly look like a team with confidence to burn. It’s time to think about wagering on the Divisional Round, so let’s get things rolling with our O/U NFL Playoffs Betting picks for the weekend.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Kansas City Chiefs

About a month and a half ago, we all had the Jaguars listed as dead, but they went on a run that ended with them winning 5 in a row to nabe the AFC South. They then found themselves in a 27-0 hole to the Chargers in the Wild Card Round before engineering a second half comeback for the ages. The next step is a trip to Kansas City to face the #1 seed, with the Chiefs also ending the season on a great run of form. The Jags have seen 9 of their last 12 in the month of January go UNDER, and it has been the same story in 4 of their last 5 versus KC.

NFL Playoff Betting Pick: UNDER 52 ½

New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles

The Giants win over the Minnesota Vikings was not as dramatic or unexpected as the Jags over the Chargers, but they still went on the road and won a playoff game as an underdog. As for the Eagles, they will be happy with the week off, as it will have given Jalen Hurts an extra week to rest the injured shoulder that kept him out of a couple of games at the end of the season. 6 of the last 8 meetings between these two teams have gone UNDER, so more of the same here.

NFL Playoff Betting Pick: UNDER 48

Cincinnati Bengals at Buffalo Bills

Of all the matchups in the Divisional Round, I think this is the one that most of us wanted to see. After all, their last meeting, which came in Week 17, ended up suspended after a tragic injury to Damar Hamlin. The Bengals were ahead in that one, but this is a whole different scenario. Cincinnati had to work hard to see off the Bengals, while the Bills survived a bit of a scare against the Dolphins. The Bengals have seen 10 of their last 14 in January go UNDER.

NFL Playoff Betting Pick: UNDER 48

Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers

It’s never ideal to have to go play in the Wild Card, but both of these teams made it look pretty easy. The Cowboys went on the road to Tampa Bay and made short work of Brady and the Bucs in a 31-14 win that was as dominant as the score suggests. 3rd string QB Brock Purdy continued to shine, shaking off any playoff jitter he might have with an amazing performance against the Seattle Seahawks, leading his team to a 41-23 win. The UNDER has hit for Dallas in 4 of their last 5 road games.

NFL Playoff Betting Pick: UNDER 46

2020 NFL Divisional Round Over/Under Betting Picks

The Wild Card Weekend delivered a couple of big surprises, but if there was a common theme to be found throughout the 4 games, it was that points were at a premium and the games were tight. We saw two of the four games go into OT, with defenses leading the way in each of the matchups. The big guns are coming into the Divisional Round now, but does that mean that we are going to suddenly see the offenses come to the forefront? That is what we need to try and figure out as we make our point total picks for this weekend of NFL Betting action.

Minnesota Vikings at San Francisco 49ers (UNDER 46 ½)

The Vikings defense did a fabulous job of slowing down Drew Brees and company in their Wild Card win, but they will have another tough assignment this weekend in San Francisco. The thing that jumps out with the Vikings is that 8 of their last 12 games have gone OVER the point total.

It is the same with the 49ers, as they have seen 5 of their last 6 games at home go OVER as well, but the waters get muddied when these two go head to head, as 6 of their last 7 meetings have gone UNDER, which is what I believe happens here.

2020 Divisional Round Betting Trends

  • The total has gone OVER in 5 of Minnesota’s last 6 games on the road
  • The total has gone OVER in 7 of San Francisco’s last 10 games

Tennessee Titans at Baltimore Ravens (OVER 47)

The Tennessee Titans delivered the biggest surprise of the Wild Card Weekend, heading into New England and beating the defending Super Bowl champions in a fabulous defensive showing. Chances are they are going to need to open things up a little against a Ravens offense that is going to be very tough to slow down.

The Ravens are going to put points on the board, and while it may not be to the level that we saw in the regular season, they will score. Tennessee has seen 4 of their last 5 road games go OVER and I think we can expect more of the same here.

2020 Divisional Round Betting Trends

  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of Tennessee’s last 5 games on the road
  • The total has gone UNDER in 15 of Baltimore’s last 19 games against an opponent in the AFC South division

Houston Texans at Kansas City Chiefs (UNDER 51)

When these two teams went head to head in the regular season, we saw the Texans win on the road in KC in a game that delivered a lot of offense. That game may have helped inflate the point total this weekend, as I find the 51 points to be a little bit on the high side.

Houston has seen 7 of their last 10 games fall UNDER the point total, while the Chiefs have played very good defense of late and have seen 5 of their last 6 games fall UNDER the total. I don’t think we see as much offense as we did in the last meeting, which is why I am on the UNDER here.

2020 Divisional Round Betting Trends

  • The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Houston’s last 7 games played in January
  • The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Kansas City’s last 6 games

Seattle Seahawks at Green Bay Packers (UNDER 46 ½)

The old saying goes that defense wins championships, which is what we are going to need to see out of Seattle if they are to extend their playoff run in the face of a huge number of injuries.

That defense was solid last week, and they may well be again this weekend, with 5 of their last 7 games against teams from the AFC North going UNDER. It is a similar story for the Packers, with 9 of their last 12 games versus teams from the NFC West going UNDER the point total.

2020 Divisional Round Betting Trends

  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of Seattle’s last 6 games played in January
  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of Green Bay’s last 6 games against Seattle

2019 NFL Divisional Round Over/Under Picks

NFL Divisional Round matchups are set. The Colts battle the Chiefs, the Cowboys take on the Rams, the Chargers head to New England while the Saints host the Eagles. The lowest over/under total on any game is 46 ½ when the Patriots and Chargers meet. How many points will the teams score in each game? Check out the latest NFL odds and over/under total picks for all 4 of this weekends NFL Divisional Round games.

Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs

Total Over/Under Odds: 57 ½
Saturday, Jan. 12

After their bye, the Colts defense really stepped it up. Indianapolis played in 5 under games in their final 8. However, they did play in 2 over games in Week 16 and Week 17. In the fantastic wildcard win over the rival Houston Texans, Indianapolis held the Texans to only 7 points in an under game.

That’s not likely to happen versus the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs allow 26.3 points per. KC averages 35 points per. The under is 3-4-1 in Chiefs’ home games, though. That points to this one going under because Indy should try to control the line of scrimmage with their big offensive line.

NFL Divisional Round Pick: Under

Dallas Cowboys at Los Angeles Rams

Total Over/Under Odds: 49
Sunday, Jan. 13

Here’s another playoff game that might go under. The Cowboys battled the Seahawks to an over game in their 24-22 wildcard win. Dallas only allows 20.2 points per game, though. Not only that, but the under went 6-2 in the Cowboys’ 8 away games during the regular season.

The Rams can put up points. They didn’t against good defenses towards the end of the regular season. This should be a close game with Dallas, like Indianapolis against KC, controlling the line of scrimmage with their offensive line and running back Ezekiel Elliott.

This one looks like an under game.

NFL Divisional Round Pick: Under

L.A. Chargers at New England Patriots

Total Over/Under Odds: 46 ½
Sunday, Jan. 13

Although the Patriots rank 21st in total yards allowed, they only rank 7th in points allowed. Then again, New England faces one of the top offenses in the NFL on Sunday. The Chargers score 26.8 points per game.

It’s hard to see Los Angeles keeping New England from scoring at least 25 in this. If the Chargers score at least 24, which they should versus a Patriots’ defense that gives up yards, the score will end at around 49.

Two great quarterbacks, the Chargers’ Philip Rivers and the Patriots’ Tom Brady, should ensure a high-scoring game. Bolts at Pats goes over.

NFL Divisional Round Pick: Over

Philadelphia Eagles at New Orleans Saints

Total Over/Under Odds: 50 ½
Sunday, Jan. 13

The Eagles shut down Chicago’s offense. That might not happen against the Saints. New Orleans beat Philadelphia 48-7 during the regular season. Although the Saints won’t beat the Eagles 48-7 on Sunday, they could definitely beat them 28-7 or 35-7.

The under went 6-2 in New Orleans’ 8 home games during the regular season. This looks like an under game for sure.

NFL Divisional Round Pick: Under
