The AFC should be the superior conference in the NFL this season. There are any number of teams that could end up representing the conference in the Super Bowl. Between the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, and as always, the New England Patriots, the AFC is up for grabs.
In looking at all of the powerful teams in the conference, we’re bound to see some big rivalry games between AFC teams. Here are some of the biggest rivalry games that we’ll see between AFC teams this season so you can plan your bets against their NFL Lines.
Biggest 2022 AFC Rivalry Games in the NFL Calendar
Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs – Week 6
Buffalo looked like the best team in the AFC last season, but once again, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs ended their season. Well, the Bills think this year will be different, as they have made numerous upgrades to their offense and defense and they’re ready to make a Super Bowl run.
After the Chiefs ended the Bill’s season in an overtime thriller last season, Buffalo will be looking for revenge. They’ll have to go to Kansas City to get it, but the Bills want to show everyone that they truly are the best team in the AFC, and that this is their season.
Denver Broncos @ Seattle Seahawks – Week 1
These two AFC West teams are natural rivals, but there is a lot more riding on this one. Russell Wilson forced his way out of Seattle, and ended up in Denver. He’ll make his return to the city where he won a Super Bowl in Week 1 of the 2022 season. We’re not sure whether the crowd will cheer or boo Wilson, but we do know that the way he parted ways with the Seahawks left a sour taste in their mouth.
Seattle is in rebuild mode, so we’re not sure if they have what it takes to beat Denver, but we know that they’ll be ready for Wilson and company.
Buffalo Bills @ Cincinnati Bengals – Week 17
At this point in the season, these two could be fighting for playoff positioning. We could see these two squaring off for many years, as they both have two of the top, young quarterbacks in the league in Josh Allen and Joe Burrow. Points will be aplenty when these two square off near the end of the season.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Cincinnati Bengals – Week 13
Speaking of top, young quarterbacks, this one will also feature Burrow against Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes has been at the top of the charts for the last few years, but between Burrow, Allen, and Justin Herbert, Mahomes has a lot of competition.
The Bengals ended the Chief’s season in the playoffs, and Kansas City wants to show everyone that they’re back with a vengeance and ready to win another Super Bowl. This one should be very exciting to watch, as neither team has a great defense. We should see a lot of points on the board, as two of the league’s top quarterbacks will be armed and dangerous in Cincinnati.
