Prior to the start of every NFL season, the Sports Betting public wants to know who will make the playoffs. They want to place their preseason wagers on the teams that they think can get into the playoffs, and likely make a run at a Super Bowl.
While we’ve found out over the years that there are no sure things in the world of the NFL, we think we’ve found something close. Here are the teams that we think are pretty good bets to make the playoffs this season. Let’s get right to it so you can plan your bets against the NFL Playoffs Odds.
Who Are the Sure-Fire Playoff Teams for the 2022-23 NFL Season?
Teams That Will Make the Playoffs in the NFC
- Green Bay Packers
Even though Aaron Rodgers is aging, the Green Bay Packers are clearly the class of the NFC North. The Bears are in rebuilding mode, as are the Lions. Minnesota has some players, but they aren’t at the level of the Packers. Even with the loss of Davante Adams, Green Bay is still the best team in the division.
- Los Angeles Rams
The defending Super Bowl champs are primed to make another long playoff run. They signed Allen Robinson to help the receiving corps, and they’re still in play to resign Odell Beckham Jr. Their defense should still be very solid as well.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
With the news that Tom Brady was returning, Tampa Bay became one of the favorites to earn a playoff spot. With Mike Evans and Chris Godwin returning, the Bucs offense should still be very good. Todd Bowles has been elevated to head coach, but the defense will still be very solid.
Teams in the AFC That Are Pretty Sure Things
- Buffalo Bills
The Bills have the best odds to win the Super Bowl this season. Josh Allen and company have gotten close, but are never able to quite get over the hump. They’ve made numerous improvements over the offseason, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Buffalo should be the best team in the AFC, barring injuries. We think they’re far and away the class of the AFC.
- Indianapolis Colts
With Matt Ryan at the helm, a strong offensive line, draft upgrades at the wide receiver position, defensive pass rush and secondary upgrades, and Jonathan Taylor ready to run again, the Indianapolis Colts should be the best team in the AFC South. With the Titans losing some key pieces, including AJ Brown, and an aging Derrick Henry, we can’t see the Titans being able to finish better than the Colts. Will Matt Ryan be the missing piece? We don’t know, but we do know that the Colts shouldn’t suffer from the fate that they suffered last season.
- Baltimore Ravens
All that John Harbaugh does is win. Even with a roster that isn’t as talented as others, the Ravens always find a way. They had a lot of injury issues last season, but now that everyone is healthy, we think the Ravens find their way back into the playoffs.
- Kansas City Chiefs
Even though Tyreek Hill is now a Miami Dolphin, we still think that the Chiefs are the best team in the AFC West. Patrick Mahomes will be surrounded by a ton of talent, and the Chiefs defense made some upgrades in the offseason.
