Eagles at Ravens Odds, Predictions & Betting Analysis in Week 13 – 2024 Season

While we still have a few weeks remaining in the NFL regular season, I think it’s fair to suggest that the finish line is now very much in view.

This is the time when teams make that final playoff push in hopes of playing beyond the end of the regular season, but the harsh reality is that they will not all make it.

NFL Betting Analysis in the Week 13

With that in mind, we are doing something a little different with our game previews this week. Besides looking at the trends and making game predictions, we will also be looking at the path to the playoffs for the teams we discuss here.

We are getting things started with a huge game that sees the Philadelphia Eagles head to Baltimore to face the Ravens in a matchup that has massive playoff implications.

The Ravens are favored by 3 points, with the total set at 51.

Philadelphia Eagles Odds +127

There were a lot of people calling for changes at the start of the season, with the Eagles getting out to a mediocre start, going 2-2 through the opening month of the season.

There are not a lot of complaints in Philly now, though, as the Eagles have reeled off 7 straight wins to take control of the NFC East.

Besides leading their division, Philly is also still in the hunt to take the #1 seed in the conference, although the Lions will have something to say about that.

The Eagles have won 5 of 6 on the road this season, and while they are 5-1 ATS in their last 6, they have failed to cover in 7 straight games in December. Their remaining schedule after this one is:

You would like them to win at least 3 of those remaining 5 games, with the trip to Washington the one that could decide the division. Either way, this team is headed to the playoffs.

Baltimore Ravens Odds -157

You look at how the Ravens played in their Monday night game against the LA Chargers, and you see a team that has to be considered a favorite to win the Super Bowl.

Their prime time win helped them keep pace with the Steelers at the top of the AFC North, although they did lose to Pittsburgh a couple of weeks back and have them on their schedule again before the end of the season, which we will get to in a moment.

The Ravens have now won 8 of their last 10 games and are a perfect 5-0 SU in their last 5 home games in the month of December.

In terms of the point total, the OVER has hit in 4 of their last 5 games at home. Here is how their remaining schedule looks:

  • @Giants
  • Vs Steelers
  • @Texans
  • Vs Browns

That matchup with the Steelers looms large, as that is a team that they have had some real issues with during the Lamar Jackson era. That one could well prove to be an AFC North decider.

Eagles at Ravens Odds & Betting Prediction in Week 13

This is arguably the best matchup on the schedule this week, and while the Ravens have home field advantage, I am a little concerned about them playing on a short week.

I am leaning toward the Eagles in a close one.

Philadelphia Eagles 23, Baltimore Ravens 21

2019 Ravens vs Eagles, Week 3

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens will look to remain unbeaten in the scrimmage season when they hit the road to take on a Philadelphia Eagles team that will be suiting upstarting quarterback Carson Wentz for the first time this preseason. With both teams entering the 2019 NFL regular season with some legitimate Super Bowl hopes after reaching the playoffs a year ago, let’s find out which team is offering the best betting value against their NFL odds in this contest.

Why Bet On Baltimore at -5?

The Ravens are looking good heading into Week 3 after smacking Jacksonville around 29-0 in their opener and following that up with a convincing 26-13 win over Green Bay last weekend. Baltimore won the AFC North last season by going 10-6 and closing out the regular season with a fine, 6-1 finish under then, rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson after he took over for former longtime starter Joe Flacco.

The former Louisville Cardinals star played three series against the Packers, going 6 for 10 for 58 yards while rushing twice for 14 yards and leading the Ravens to a pair of field goals.

Why Bet On Philadelphia at +5?

The Eagles improved to 1-1 on the preseason by following up their 27-10 loss to Tennessee in their opener with a 24-10 smackdown of Jacksonville last weekend. Last season, the Birds went 9-7 to finish second to Dallas in the NFC East while reaching the postseason and upsetting NFC North champion Chicago in the wild card round before falling to New Orleans in the divisional round.

The Eagles lost their second backup quarterback in as many weeks when veteran Cody Kessler was placed in the concussion protocol after receiving a hard blow from Jaguars defensive end Datone Jones. Carson Wentz has yet to play this preseason with the eagles being cautious with their injury-prone franchise signal-caller.

DKY Alert! – Did You Know that Baltimore’s John Harbaugh is a stellar 8-3 in Week 3 preseason games while Philadelphia’s Doug Pederson is a more modest 2-1 in Week 3 scrimmage contests?

Ravens vs Eagles NFL Preseason Week 3 Betting Trends

  • Ravens are 6-3 ATS in the last 9 games
  • Ravens are 5-1 SU in the last 6 games
  • The total went UNDER in 4 of the Ravens’ last 6 games
  • Eagles are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 games
  • Eagles are 5-2 SU in the last 7 games
  • The total went UNDER in 4 of the Eagles’ last 5 games

Expert Analysis and Prediction for Ravens vs Eagles

Baltimore has gone 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 on games on grass and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games overall, but Philadelphia has gone a perfect 4-0 ATS in their last four Thursday night games and an even more impressive 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall. I know the Ravens have looked really solid through two preseason games, but Philadelphia was also pretty solid in their Week 2 win over Jacksonville. With both teams’ starters likely to see some significant action, I’m going with Baltimore to get the outright road win in this one because of their stout defense and they way they’ve looked so far this preseason, although I do like Philly to cover the chalk as value-packed 5-point home underdog.

This game will serve as a great test for Carson Wentz and the Eagles’ first-string offense and I believe they’ll find their way into the end zone at least once. Unfortunately for the Birds, the difference in this one will be Baltimore’s defense and the fact that Jackson has already seen some decent action in both preseason games while Carson Wentz could look a bit rusty.

Pick: Baltimore 21 Philadelphia 17
