As we go into mid-December action after Week 14, clubs are battling for a postseason spot in Week 15. On MyBookie, we’ll make predictions on the Week 15 sure losers. As we inch closer to the playoffs, teams have started to separate themselves from contenders to downright losers. We’ll look more closely at these matchups and give you our top NFL Betting picks for who the losers will be in the coming week.
Who Are the Sure Losers in Week 15 of NFL Action?
Kansas City Chiefs vs Houston Texans (+14)
Surprise! The Houston Texans make the list once again as they pushed their losing streak to eight games with a road loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Houston doesn’t get a break as they welcome another playoff contender in Week 15. The Texans actually played well against the Cowboys, as they entered the last quarter with a lead. Despite this, they blew yet another lead pushing their record to 1-11-1 on the year.
The Texans need work on both sides of the ball; it doesn’t matter who is in at quarterback; Houston hasn’t found any success as they rank dead last in total offense averaging 283 yards and 16.2 points per game.
Meanwhile, all the Chiefs do is win. Kansas City has pushed their record to 10-3, and they have won five of their last six. The league’s best offense is averaging 29.5 points per game and has the MVP favorite under center in Patrick Mahomes. Expect the Chiefs to come out on top, ensuring the Texans have another unsuccessful week.
Philadelphia Eagles vs Chicago Bears (+9)
The Chicago Bears make the loser list as they come off their Week 14 bye week. Chicago has lost six straight contests, and they will surely lock in number seven when they welcome the Philadelphia Eagles to Soldier Field. While the offense has shown improvements, the Bears simply can’t find ways to win. Defense has been their biggest concern, as they are surrendering over 26 points a game.
Unfortunately for the Bears, they welcome arguably the league’s best team in Week 15. Not only did the Philadelphia Eagles secure a playoff spot with a 48-22 win over the Giants, but they will also be looking to secure the number one overall NFC seed with a win over the Bears. The Eagles are incredibly talented on both sides of the ball. The offense has averaged 41 points per game over their last three contests, while their defense owns the most takeaways (24) in the NFL.
Expect the Bears to drop their seventh straight contest in Week 15.
San Francisco 49ers vs Seattle Seahawks
The 49ers and Seahawks will play each other in a Thursday night football game to start off this week. The 49ers immediately increased their odds after starting out as -1 point favorites to become -3.5 point favorites (-110) on Mybookie. Oddsmakers like the 49ers after their were questions about how the San Francisco offense would look with rookie Brock Purdy under center. However, Purdy led the 49ers to a decisive victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 49ers posting 35 points while holding the Bucs to only seven points.
The Seattle Seahawks, meanwhile, have struggled mightily over the latter half of the season. In a disheartening loss last week to the Carolina Panthers, Seattle gave up 30 points, and they have now dropped three of their last four games. Over their last four games, Seattle has given up 28.5 points and failed to beat the spread each time. That being said, we like the 49ers to crush the Seahawks next week, making Seattle sure losers in Week 15.
