2024 MLB | 155th edition of professional baseball in United States
Wednesday, March 20th – Sunday, September 29th, 2024
162 Games | 30 Teams

Atlanta Braves to win over 101.5 games

The Dodgers are the hot team to win it all in 2024, but Tyler Glasnow, who has been hurt for the past two seasons, lists as L.A.’s ace. Atlanta has Spencer Strider and Max Fried heading up their rotation. The bats will be there for sure and the ATL dominated the 2023 regular season.

Minnesota Twins to win over 87.5 games

Pablo Lopez, Joe Ryan, and Bailey Ober make for a decent top of the rotation. The bats should be hot with Carlos Correa bouncing back form a subpar 2023. Carlos Santana and Max Kepler are solid.

The key, though, is that the rest of the teams in the AL Central aren’t great. 90 wins or more is a real possibility.

Diamondbacks to win over 83.5 games

No love is going to the reigning NL Champions. But AZ returns their entire team from last season, which means the chemistry will be there. If the Dodgers’ rotation doesn’t come together, Arizona gets it done big time. By big time, we mean this team can win close to 100 games, much less 84.

Diamondbacks
Odds for the Regular Season MLB Moneyline

Mike Trout to win AL MVP +2000

Without Shohei Ohtani, many believe Trout doesn’t post his usual terrific numbers. The opposite will be true. Mike’s issues have been in the injury department and lineup placement. This season, the Angels have no choice but strategically place Trout where he will provide the most pop. The Mickey Mantle comparisons begin anew in 2024.

Mike Trout
American League MVP Pick: +2000 | Player Props for the Regular Season MLB Moneyline

Bryce Harper to win NL MVP +1000

Harper hasn’t had a smooth season in a while. Like Mike Trout, Bryce is due for a big season. The skills that has led to generational talent talk remain while Harper plays for a team that can win the World Series. It should add up to Bryce posting excellent stats.

Bryce Harper
National League MVP Pick: +1000| Player Props for the Regular Season MLB Moneyline

Pablo Lopez to win AL Cy Young +1000

Lopez is one of the top starters in the American League. What we must really like about Pablo is the fact he plays on a team that feels like it’s about to break out with a monster season.

If Ober and Ryan have terrific seasons, this will only help Pablo’s case. In addition, the odds on Lopez are much better than they are on Gerrit Cole and some of the other favorites to win the Cy.

Pablo Lopez
American League Cy Young Pick: +1000 | Player Props for the Regular Season MLB Live Odds

Zac Gallen to win NL Cy Young +1100

Zac Gallen has the talent to win the Cy Young every season. This season, Arizona should continue its excellent play because upper management knows how to put together a baseball team with chemistry.

Torey Lovullo will ensure Gallen throws in games where he can find success. Beating Spencer Strider for the Cy won’t be easy, but based on odds and ability, Gallen is the top pick.

Previous Betting News

The Major League Baseball season will be here before you know it. Before the season gets going, and Spring Training moves along, it’s a good idea to start looking over some of the best future bets.

We have a list of Major League Baseball future bets for the season that you should not let pass. Let’s see if we can pick out some potentially solid MLB bets.

Shohei Ohtani to Win National League MVP

The winner of the American League MVP award moving to the National League. Ohtani is going to get pitches to hit in the National League with the lineup he is in. It is going to be a fun summer seeing the Dodgers and their ability to mash. The odds are too great to pass up an opportunity at +650 for Ohtani to win the award. That’s the first one we suggest!

Shohei Ohtani
National League MVP Pick: +650 | Odds for the MLB Player Props MyBookie Betting Lines for the Prop

Julio Rodriguez to win American League MVP

With Ohtani gone from the American League, it opens the door for someone else to take the award. Rodriguez is a guy that we project is really going to break out in Seattle. He played 155 games a season ago, so health has not been an issue. We expect to see his batting average raise closer to .300, from the .275 of a season ago. Rodriguez is also due for 40+ home run season. His odds are very interesting, and one we cannot pass up.

Julio Rodriguez
American League MVP Pick: +1100 | Odds for the MLB Player Props MyBookie Betting Lines for the Prop

Chicago Cubs to Make the Playoffs

A team that played better than they were for most of the season last year. Then, the team did not really get better, and in fact, may have gotten worse with the loss of Stroman. At even odds, these seem like too good of odds to pass up. The Cardinals will be better in the division, and Milwaukee still won it a season ago. Cincinnati will even be improved. At even money, we are taking the NO on them making the postseason.

Chicago Cubs
Make the Playoffs Pick: NO +100| Odds for the MLB Player Props MyBookie Betting Lines for the Prop

Aaron Judge OVER 44.5 Homeruns

The best home run hitter in the game of baseball right now. 44.5 home runs seems low for him. He missed almost 60 games a season ago, and hit 37. We expect health, and more pitches to see in that improved lineup. We anticipated the number to be more in the range of 47.5 or 48. We will take the YES on the OVER 44.5 home runs for Aaron Judge.

Aaron Judge
Total Homeruns Pick: OVER 44.5 – YES -110 | Odds for the MLB Player Props MyBookie Betting Lines for the Prop

Michael Harris to win Major League Baseball Doubles Leader

One of the most exciting young players in all of Major League Baseball. Much like our bet with Julio Rodriguez, we are going with a young Atlanta Braves star here. Harris hit .293 a season ago, despite missing 25 games or so. Harris recorded 33 doubles during that time. The league leader was Freddie Freeman with 59. That seems like a large gap, but Freeman is starting to age, and may sit a little more than his 161 games of a season ago. We like Harris to get to 45 doubles this season, and have a big season. That beats everyone but Freeman. We are betting on Harris to be huge, and Freeman to take a bit of a dip here.

Michael Harris
Doubles Leader Pick: +1400 | Odds for the MLB Player Props MyBookie Betting Lines for the Prop

Elly De La Cruz to win Major League Baseball Stolen Base Leader

Ronald Acuna won the league lead a season ago with 73. Esteury Ruiz was at 67. De La Cruz played in 97 games and had 35. In a full season, where De La Cruz can play 150 games, we project him to get 65 stolen bases. If 65 can win the league title or not is the biggest question, but at 8/1 odds we like our chances, and make this a bet we cannot pass up to start the season.

Previous Betting News

Spring training is now well underway, and while it is always good to see teams back out on the field, the reality is that we are all probably looking ahead to the start of the regular season. We are already seeing some teams get out to a hot start in spring training play, but we are all well aware that what happens now tends to have little bearing on how things play out in the regular season. It is time, though, to start looking ahead to see what bets we can place now with some level of confidence. I say some level, because the reality is that you just never know how things might go, especially when injuries come into play. Let’s see if we can pick out some potentially solid MLB bets.

Targeting the Best Future Bets & Picks of the MLB Season

Division Winners

Let’s start out with the National League when looking at potential division winners. In the NL East, we have what looks to be a very tight division. The Mets are the favorite at the moment, but I like the Braves at odds of +136. In the Central, it is the St. Louis Cardinals who are in as the favorite at odds of -116. While the Brewers might have something to say about the final outcome, I think the Cards take it. The Dodgers are once again the team to beat in the West, but I’d be willing to go with the dark horse here and take the Padres at odds of +135. That seems like decent value.

Over in the American League, things appear to be a little more clear cut. The Yankees are the favorites to win the East at odds of +110, and while I think the Blue Jays might push them, I have to stick with the Yankees. The central looks like a 2-horse race between the Guardians and Twins, but I am on Minnesota at odds of +185. Finally, the one true lock looks to be in the West, where the Houston Astros are heavily favored at -200.

Pennant Winners

In the NL, it is the Dodgers who are unsurprisingly in as the favorite to win the pennant. I like them to get into the postseason, but I think the Padres might well be the team to look at here. San Diego is currently sitting at odds of +40, which I think is fantastic value.

The Houston Astros are favorites to come out of the American League, which certainly seems more than fair. The Yankees are up there, too, but I might be willing to take a look at the Toronto Blue Jays, who are at +500. If they can get their pitching in order, this is a team that could be a nightmare.

World Series Winner

I am not a fan of making bold predictions before we have seen a single inning of the regular season, as there are simply too many things that can come into play that end up making you look like a fool. Since I do have to make a pick for this piece, I am going to go with the Houston Astros. If we are looking at a dark horse, then I would be willing to splash a few bucks on the Toronto Blue Jays.

Valuable 2023 MLB Future Odds You Can Still Bet On

Previous Betting News

The nice thing about the MLB season is that a slow start doesn’t necessarily doom a team’s hopes. With 162 games to play, teams can see a lot of moving and shaking throughout the season.

Here’s a look at some MLB futures odds still worth hopping on.

Valuable 2023 MLB Future Odds You Can Still Bet On | MyBookie Baseball Preview

MLB Regular Season: March 30 – October 1, 2023
MLB Playoffs: October 3 – TBA

Houston Astros to win the American League West (-130)

The Houston Astros were heavy favorites to win the division when the season started but saw the Texas Rangers race out to a lead ahead of them. While Texas, which last made the playoffs in 2016, wasn’t seen as a contender to win the division when the season started. However, the Rangers still have a three-game lead two months in.

The Astros were hit with some injury troubles when the season started. Jose Altuve, who has since returned, was out of the lineup to start the season. Houston went 17-10 in May and will continue to pressure the Rangers as the season goes, and the Astros should eventually catch the Rangers.

AL West Pick: Astros Odds to Win American League West
MyBookie Lines for all the Games in the Division

Milwaukee Brewers to Win the National League Central (-125)

The Milwaukee Brewers have a one-game lead over a Pittsburgh Pirates team that will likely fade. Milwaukee also has a five-game over St. Louis, which is still seven games below .500. It is unlikely that St. Louis will continue to play as poorly as it has so far this season.

However, the Brewers have aspirations of making a deep postseason run. If Milwaukee can add some pieces at the trade deadline, the Brewers should be able to pull away from what is a weak division.

NL Central Pick: Brewers Odds to Win National League Central
MyBookie Lines for all the Games in the Division

New York Yankees to Win the World Series (+940)

The New York Yankees have fought off a sluggish start to move into third place in the American League East Division. New York is within striking distance of moving past Baltimore for second place and are six games behind Tampa Bay for first place. The Yankees have plenty of power in their lineup and should match up well with other American League contenders.

New York also has plenty of strong starting pitching, including Gerrit Cole. The Yankees will be tested a lot throughout the season within the division. Tampa Bay has dominated the division early on, but has come back to earth after a slow start.

World Series Pick: Yankees Odds to Win World Series
MyBookie Lines for all the Games in the Season

New York Mets to Win National League (+800)

The New York Mets haven’t lived up to their price tag so far this season. New York is only two games over .500, but in a relatively weak National League Wild Card field, there will be plenty of opportunities for the Mets to gain ground as the season progresses. Justin Verlander hasn’t had a strong start to the season, but the veteran pitcher may find his groove.

Pete Alonso leads the Mets with 20 home runs, while he has also driven in 46 runs. Brandon Nimmo leads the team with a .294 batting average.

2019 MLB Future Odds You Can Still Bet

Previous Betting News

The 2019 MLB Season continues rolling along. Although two months have passed in the current season, MLB future bettors can still make big money on future wagers. Check out the current MLB future bets offered along with analysis.

2019 MLB Future Odds You Can Still Bet

2019 World Series Odds

  • Houston Astros +270
  • A. Dodgers +270
  • New York Yankees +450
  • Minnesota Twins +750
  • Tampa Bay Rays +800
  • Philadelphia Phillies +850

The World Series winner should come among the choices listed here. The Dodgers and Astros appear to be running away with the AL and NL respectively. Don’t sleep on the Yankees and Rays, though. New York’s starting rotation hasn’t been healthy and they’re still leading the AL East.

The Tampa Bay Rays have an excellent rotation and bullpen. Tampa’s starting rotation ranks first in MLB with a 2.96 team ERA. The bullpen ranks third with a 3.43 ERA. If the Rays make the playoffs, they can hang with any team because of their pitching.

Houston might offer overlay odds at +270. They’re that good. The Dodgers have also looked great. Los Angeles might not have a good enough bullpen to win the World Series, though.

American League Pennant

  • Houston Astros +130
  • New York Yankees +220
  • Minnesota Twins +350
  • Tampa Bay Rays +500

You can also still wager on the AL Pennant winner. Minnesota is the top hitting team in MLB with a team batting average of .274. But, the Twins lack pitching. Tampa is the team to back if you believe they win the World Series.

It’s hard to knock both the Astros and the Yankees. Although they offer the lowest odds, the odds are more than fair. This is especially true for the Astros at +130. The Astros are one of the few teams in MLB that are solid in their starting rotation, bullpen, and batting lineups. Houston looks tough.

National League Pennant

  • A. Dodgers +130
  • Philadelphia Phillies +420
  • Chicago Cubs +520
  • Milwaukee Brewers +650

The Dodgers are a solid play at +130. However, there’s a lot of baseball left to be played. If Philadelphia can straighten out their starting rotation, they could be tough. Right now, the Phillies’ starters rank thirteenth in team ERA with a 4.30.

The Cubs are a veteran squad. The Cubs and Brewers are tied in the NL Central. The Cubs’ starting rotation ranks fifth. The Brewers’ ranks seventeenth. Chicago appears to have the edge based on pitching.

World Series Possible Matchups

  • Houston Astros vs L.A. Dodgers +430
  • New York Yankees vs L.A. Dodgers +630
  • Houston Astros vs Philadelphia Phillies +1000

The above are probably the three most likely matchups. You should definitely heck out all of the World Series matchups. The best way to handicap this is to take a team and use that team as sort of the key bet.

So if you like Houston to win the AL, you can play them with the Dodgers at +430. You can also play them with the Phillies at +1100 and the Chicago Cubs at +1300.

You can also bet on division winners. No team has yet locked down their division. Some teams, like the Dodgers and Astros, look impossible to catch. If you like a dog, maybe Oakland to beat the Astros in the AL West, you could back the dog at great odds.
