Insider Insights: Which Week 2 NFL Parlays Are Set to Make You a Winner?

2024 NFL Season | 104th season of National Football League in the United States
Week 2: Thursday, September 12th – Monday, September 16th, 2024

Betting 2024 NFL Season

Week 1 of the NFL season is now over, and it’s time to start making some predictions as to what is going to happen during Week 2.

There weren’t a ton of surprises from the Week 1 slate as most of the betting favorites were able to come away with a win.

Putting together a parlay is always a great option each week in the NFL as there are so many options to choose from.

With 16 games taking place throughout the league, you will be able to come up with a solid five-pick parlay.

Here is a look at the bets that you are going to want to make in Week 2.

Writer’s NFL Week 2 Parlay Picks

Buffalo Bills +105 vs. Miami Dolphins

The Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins are set to meet up on Thursday Night Football, and this should be a great game to start the week.

These are the two best teams in the AFC East Division, and it’s the Dolphins that are a slight betting favorite in this game.

Both teams played well enough in Week 1 to come away with a win, but it wasn’t easy for either team to get the job done.

Look for Josh Allen and the Bills to pick up a big win in Week 2 as they take the division lead by going 2-0.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Baltimore Ravens (-9.5)

The Baltimore Ravens are coming home for Week 2 after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the season opener.

That was a tough game for the Ravens to play to begin the season, and it’s time for them to take out some frustration in this matchup.

Las Vegas isn’t going to be a bad team this NFL season, but they just don’t have the weapons to keep pace.

Bet on the Baltimore Ravens to win this game by double digits as they get their first win of the year.

Los Angeles Chargers -6.5 vs. Carolina Panthers

It’s looking like the Carolina Panthers might be the worst team in the league again this season, and that’s something to monitor each week.

Carolina will be hosting the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2, and they are going to struggle to get stops.

Betting a huge road favorite is never an easy thing to do, but that should be your plan in this game.

Los Angeles is going to roll to a big win on the road in this matchup.

Seattle Seahawks vs. New England Patriots (Under 38.5)

The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots both enter Week 2 with a 1-0 record, but neither team was extremely impressive in getting that done.

Now these teams will meet up in Week 2, and it’s the Seahawks that are slight betting favorites.

Instead of betting the spread in this game, betting the under is going to be the way to go.

Don’t expect a ton of offense in this one as neither team will have much success scoring points.

Kyren Williams Any Time Touchdown Scorer

The Los Angeles Rams are set to visit the Arizona Cardinals, and this should be a good matchup between teams from the NFC West.

Arizona can really score, and they are going to give the Rams a great game this Sunday.

Instead of trying to predict what is going to happen between these two teams, it’s better to make a prop pick from this game.

Bet on Kyren Williams to find the end zone as the Rams should have some success on the ground.

2023 NFL Week 2 Parlay Picks

NFL Week 1 is almost in the books. On Monday night, the Buffalo Bills take on the New York Jets in Aaron Rodgers first game in Jets’ green. But although Bills versus Jets has yet to take place, there’s no time to waste.

2023 NFL Week 2 Parlay Picks | MyBookie Regular Season Preview

2023-24 NFL | 104th season of the National Football League
Week 2: Thursday, September 14th – Monday, January 18th, 2023

2-Team Parlay Pick

New Orleans Saints -3 at Carolina Panthers
Cleveland Browns -2 at Pittsburgh Steelers

New Orleans struggled for the win against Tennessee, but that was because the Saints played a veteran team and made some mistakes. If Carr and the offense improves, the Saints will blow out the Panthers. Carolina has some talent but N’Awlins’ D sacked Ryan Tannehill 3 times and picked off Tanny 3 times. So Bryce Young will be in some trouble.

Cleveland is a different team than the unit from last season. The Steelers will play the Browns tough, but even if Cleveland bounces after the win over the Bengals, the Browns should dominate Kenny Pickett and Pittsburgh’s offense. So Cleveland covers.

3-Team Parlay Pick

New Orleans Saints -3 at Carolina Panthers
Cleveland Browns -2 at Pittsburgh Steelers
San Francisco 49ers -8 at L.A. Rams

The Rams looked great against an underperforming and porous defense. Seattle really played badly against the Rams in their first game of the season. The Rams won’t play the same in their second game versus the San Francisco 49ers. SF dominated Pittsburgh. The Niners have the best defense in the NFL and the Rams’ offensive line still isn’t great no matter what it did against Seattle.

4-Team Parlay Pick

New Orleans Saints -3 at Carolina Panthers
Cleveland Browns -2 at Pittsburgh Steelers
San Francisco 49ers -8 at L.A. Rams
Minnesota Vikings at Philadelphia Eagles -7.5

Minnesota’s defense is a disaster. The offense line isn’t all that great either. Philadelphia played and beat a really good team in the England Patriots on the road in their first. Eagles blast the Vikings and win this by close to 20.

2-Team Parlay Money Line Pick

Kansas City Chiefs at Jacksonville Jaguars +117
Chicago Bears at Tampa Bay Buccaneers -155

Don’t expect the Chiefs to bounce back in their second game. Even if Travis Kelce returns to the field, and we have no idea if he will, the Jaguars’ offense took the next step in the win against a decent Colts’ defense. KC starts the season 0-2.

Chicago isn’t good enough to beat a Baker Mayfield led Tampa squad on the road. Baker is an upgrade over a close to 50 year old Tom Brady at quarterback. Yes. We just wrote that. Also, TB’s defense is much better than advertised.

3-Team Parlay Money Line Pick

Kansas City Chiefs at Jacksonville Jaguars +117
Chicago Bears at Tampa Bay Buccaneers -155
Green Bay Packers -111 at Atlanta Falcons

We love the odds on the Packers, who are one of the NFC’s best teams. Once Jordan Love got comfortable, he started dominating Chicago’s defense. Also, Green Bay’s D is terrific.

Atlanta is good and they’ve got a serious weapon in Bijan Robinson. But Desmond Ridder is going to have to make great plays in this and we doubt he makes more than a couple, three at the most.

4-Team Parlay Money Line Pick

Kansas City Chiefs at Jacksonville Jaguars +117
Chicago Bears at Tampa Bay Buccaneers -155
New York Jets +135 at Dallas Cowboys

So the Dallas Cowboys shock the New York Giants on the road, win by 40, and all of a sudden the Boys are going to take home the Lombardi? We’re predicting a bounce. First, the Cowboys always beat the New York Giants.

Second, the Giants were going to go up 3-0 but Dallas blocked the kick and ran it back for a TD. The Giants held the Cowboys to a field goal before DaRon Bland ran back an interception 22 yard for a TD. The G-Men didn’t give up physically, but mentally, they were done. So the final score is inflated. The Jets return the Boys to earth.

2020 NFL Parlay Picks: Patriots vs. Dolphins and Lions vs. Titans

Previous Betting News

The Miami Dolphins and Tennessee Titans are both battling for AFC playoff spots, and we think both will cover at home on Sunday against teams that will miss the playoffs in the New England Patriots and Detroit Lions, respectively. Here’s a parlay look at the two with NFL odds.

Parlay Picks | 2020 NFL Expert Analysis

Patriots at Dolphins (-2)

When: Sunday, 1 PM ET
TV: CBS

New England will be eliminated from playoff contention with a loss, while Miami is right in the middle of the AFC Wild-Card chase and in the playoffs as things stand. These teams played Week 1 and the Pats rolled 21-11. That was New England’s first game post-Tom Brady, and Cam Newton rushed for two scores. Sony Michel added a touchdown for New England, which had 217 of its 357 yards on the ground. Newton was 15 of 19 passing. Ryan Fitzpatrick was 20 of 30 for 191 yards and three interceptions. Miami was held to 269 total yards.

These clubs have changed an awful lot since then as Newton is coming off a horrible effort in a loss to the Rams, while the Dolphins changed from Fitzpatrick to rookie Tua Tagovailoa under center a few weeks ago.

New England was dominated on Thursday in Week 14 in a 24-3 loss at the Rams and Newton completed 9-of-16 passes for 119 yards, zero touchdowns and an interception. Newton added seven carries for 16 yards. Listed as “questionable” with an abdomen injury, Newton was dismal in a non-competitive game, heading to the bench for the final 10 minutes.

Newton’s surgically-repaired throwing arm/shoulder looked weaker than ever. His interception was a pick-six. However, coach Bill Belichick said that Newton will keep the starting job over Jarrett Stidham. Newton has thrown three touchdown passes and eight interceptions over his last nine games. Stidham has yet to show a ton of positives, either.

With three games remaining, the 6-7 Patriots can’t catch Buffalo in the division race — which means New England’s streak of 11 consecutive AFC East banners is over. The last time the Patriots didn’t win the division was 2008, when they finished tied with the Dolphins at 11-5 but lost on a tiebreaker and missed the postseason. Thus, this will mark the first time since Bill Belichick’s first season in New England that an AFC East team finished with a better record than the Patriots.

Will Miami have top wideout DeVante Parker for this one? Parker has a “slight” hamstring strain and is uncertain. He left Week 14’s game against Kansas City in the first quarter and did not return. At 8-5, Miami controls its destiny for a Wild-Card spot. Win the next three, and they are in.

Lions at Titans (-8)

When: Sunday, 1 PM ET
TV: CBS

Detroit is expected to be without starting QB Matthew Stafford after he left last Sunday’s loss to Green Bay in the fourth quarter with a ribs injury. Stafford suffered a rib cartilage injury when he was hit hard and twisted awkwardly on a 6-yard scramble.

Stafford stayed in for one play, a Kerryon Johnson touchdown run, but was in obvious pain when he went to the sideline and sat out the Lions’ final offensive series. Chase Daniel came off the bench for Stafford in the fourth quarter of the loss but hasn’t started a game since October 2019.

Stafford is starting to break down a bit. He played through a long list of injuries to start 136 straight games at one point, the seventh-longest streak ever by a quarterback. That includes a broken back in 2018. But he back again last season, which ended the streak. He missed the final eight games of the season, and the Lions — who went 3-4-1 with him on the field — fell apart during an 0-8 finish without him.

While Detroit (5-8) is playing out the string on another disappointing season and already has fired is coach and GM, the Titans (9-4) are playing for ideally an AFC South title or at worst a Wild-Card spot.

Derrick Henry is having a monster season for Tennessee and is all but a lock to repeat as league rushing champion. In last week’s blowout of Jacksonville, Henry rushed 26 times for 215 yards and two touchdowns. He became the first player in NFL history with four career games of at least 200 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Henry needs to average 156 rushing yards per game over the season’s final three weeks to eclipse 2,000 yards on the year. Henry already is one of seven running backs in league history with more than 1,500 rushing yards and 14 or more touchdowns through 13 games. Head coach He has a real shot to set the single-season rushing yardage record (2,105 yards), held by Eric Dickerson for 36 years.

The Lions haven’t been very good against the run, so expect another big day for Henry.

Week 2 NFL Parlay Picks for the 2021 Regular Season

Previous Betting News

Week 2 NFL Parlay Picks for the 2021 Regular Season

The first career NFL start for Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence had its highs and lows as the Jaguars were blown out by the Houston Texans. Perhaps things will improve for the Jags in their home opener on Sunday vs. Denver. Here’s a look at that game and one other to parlay together on the NFL odds.

Denver Broncos at Jacksonville Jaguars (+6)

Jacksonville rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence, the No. 1 overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, New York Jets rookie quarterback Zach Wilson (No. 2), and New England rookie quarterback Mac Jones (No. 15) each made their first career starts on Kickoff Weekend. At least one rookie quarterback has started in Week 1 in 14 consecutive seasons, the longest streak in the NFL since at least 1950.

With three rookie quarterbacks starting in Week 1, 2021 joined the 2012 season (five rookie quarterbacks) as the only seasons since 1970 in which at least three rookie quarterbacks started in Week 1. Lawrence passed for 332 yards in his NFL debut, the third-most passing yards by a No. 1 overall pick in his first career start in the Super Bowl era. Only Cam Newton (422 passing yards) and Vinny Testaverde (369) had more. Lawrence had three TD throws but was picked off three times in the 37-21 loss in Houston. It was the first three-pick game of Lawrence’s career. It’s also the first time Lawrence has ever had a losing record as a starting quarterback.

Coach Urban Meyer said he and the locker room aren’t shell-shocked by what was the franchise’s 16th consecutive loss, dating back to a season-opening victory over Indianapolis in 2020.

“I don’t really know that word [shell-shocked] other than we’ve all got our ass kicked before,” Meyer said. “Let’s tighten up and go. I believe in that team. I believe in our staff. Come back to work. Going to earn your captain’s stripes and leadership stripes as a coach and leaders on the team. But I believe in those guys.”

Meyer said his team “better not be at 51 dropbacks a game” this season. Lawrence indeed threw the ball 51 times while James Robinson and Carlos Hyde combined for just 14 rush attempts. Hyde led the team with nine carries. After an embarrassing performance to open the year, Meyer clearly wants to establish a ground attack in Week 2 versus the Broncos.

Denver beat the Giants 27-13 in Week 1. Teddy Bridgewater completed 28-of-36 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. Bridgewater stayed sharp after winning the Broncos’ starting job in the preseason. He hit Tim Patrick and backup TE Albert Okwuegbunam for his touchdowns, with both coming on goal-line throws.

However, the news wasn’t all good as receiver Jerry Jeudy is going to miss 4-6 weeks with a high ankle sprain.  After a training camp when his defensive teammates called him “uncoverable” at times, Jeudy has been poised for a prominent role in the Broncos’ offense. He led the team with 72 yards receiving Sunday despite playing 31 snaps.

Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins (+3.5)

Miami was a 17-16 upset winner at New England in Week 1. Tua Tagovailoa completed 16-of-27 passes for 202 yards, one touchdown and an interception. Tagovailoa took only two sacks, but he was running for his life behind the Dolphins’ makeshift offensive line. Defensively, Miami forced two turnovers, extending their turnover streak to 23 games – the longest active streak in the NFL. Jerome Baker led all players with 12 total tackles (8 solo tackles).

The Fins will get back receiver Will Fuller for this game. He was suspended for six games during last season with Houston and served the first five at the end of the year. Fuller joined the Dolphins as an unrestricted free agent in March when he signed a one-year contract. Head coach Brian Flores said Monday it was too early to determine how Fuller would fit into the offense.

“We didn’t have Will last week,” Flores said. “He missed some time in training camp. We really only had him for, I would say, a handful of practices. We’ll work him in and see how to best utilize him in the offense and see how things go during practice this week. I think we got a lot of guys in that room. We will see how practice goes this week and take it from there.”

The Bills were upset at home by the Steelers 23-16. Of Pittsburgh’s 20 unanswered points, 17 were the result of two Bills turnovers on downs and a blocked punt/return touchdown — which was put into motion when Cameron Heyward had a third-down sack of Josh Allen one play earlier.

Accuracy downfield proved to be a problem for Allen despite facing the lowest blitz rate of his career. He completed 30 of 51 passes, a career high in pass attempts, for 270 yards against the Steelers and had trouble connecting with both Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley. The issues the Bills displayed on the field — eight penalties, questionable fourth-down playcalling and the special teams breakdown — are correctable, with the biggest errors coming on the offensive side.
