Who Are the Sure Winners in the Conference Championship Weekend of NFL Action?
NFL Odds
Soon after the conclusion of Sunday’s games, NFL Championship odds went live, and the first few minutes of NFL betting saw a flurry of activity. This resulted in some significant movements that will determine where these markets go before Sunday’s game kickoff. Currently, you can bet on NFL Conference Championship weekend on Mybookie, where the Eagles are -2.5 (-110) spread favorites over the 49ers, while the Bengals and Chiefs game is a pick’em at -110 for both teams.
Cincinnati Bengals vs Kansas City Chiefs
The Cincinnati Bengals should be the favorites by the time the AFC Championship game kicks off. The Bengals continue to prove critics wrong as they find themselves back in the AFC Championship game after winning the AFC North and taking down the Buffalo Bills. Cincinnati is arguably the hottest team in the NFL after ripping off ten straight wins coming into this one.
Joe Burrow has put the team on his back and outplayed Josh Allen and the Bills throwing for two touchdowns and 242 yards with zero interceptions. Additionally, over the past two seasons, Burrow leads the NFL in postseason victories and has never lost to the Chiefs, going 3-0, including a win on the road over Kansas City in last year’s AFC Championship game.
While the Chiefs certainly should never be counted out with Patrick Mahomes under center and Andy Reid at the helm, Kansas City got bad news when Mahomes went down with a high ankle sprain, which forced him out at the end of the AFC divisional round game.
Regardless, the Bengals defense completely flustered Josh Allen last week, and the Bengals have dominated the Chiefs in their last three matchups. Cincinnati is on fire, and they play with a poise and tenacity that should allow them to walk away as winners, vaulting them to the Super Bowl once again.
San Francisco 49ers vs Philadelphia Eagles (-2.5)
The Eagles have been the NFC’s top team for the whole season, they not only had the best record in the league, but they boasted both one of the top offenses and defenses in the NFL. Philadelphia should walk away as winners this weekend as the franchise has won 13 games three times in the franchise’s history, going to the Super Bowl twice over that span.
Nick Sciriani’s squad led the league in total offense, and with Jalen Hurts under center, the Eagles are 14-1 this season. They will have a home-field advantage and showcase a second-ranked defense that led the league with 75 sacks.
While San Francisco has won 12 straight games, third-stringer Brock Purdy struggled for the first time against an elite Dallas Cowboys defense. The 49ers will have to travel across the country to Lincoln Financial Field and play near perfectly against a hostile crowd and one of the best teams in football.
No starting quarterback who is a rookie has ever advanced to or won the Super Bowl, and the Eagles will surely fluster Kyle Shanahan and the 49er offense, walking away with a win at home.
