Of the six wild card squads, the Los Angeles Rams are the best built to score a Super Bowl victory. Matthew Stafford led the Rams to a Lombardi Trophy win in the 2021-2022 season.

In 2022-2023, Staff was hurt for most the season. It was rebuilding time. But it didn’t take long for LAR to go right back to being one of the top teams in the NFL.

Two fifth-round draft choices, Kyren Williams and Puka Nacua, spearhead one of the league’s top offenses. The defense began to hit it’s stride in the second half of the season. In every game in the second half, the Rams played well, including pushing the Super Bowl favorite Baltimore Ravens into overtime.

Sean McVay knows how to win the big game. Expect the Rams to produce a gargantuan effort versus the Detroit Lions this weekend.

Cleveland Browns

In their first playoff game, fifth seed Cleveland heads to Houston to take on the AFC South champion Texans. Houston wanted to make the playoffs, and they did, but taking on the Browns in the first round is not ideal.

Cleveland’s offense has become elite now that Joe Flacco is throwing the rock like it’s 2013. Flacco and Amari Cooper have developed a great rapport. As good as the offense is, though, the defense is even better.

Myles Garrett leads one of the top three defenses in the NFL to the field. Not only that, but Cleveland beat the 49ers and Ravens this season.

One only had to look at the scoreboard in the win versus the Chicago Bears to realize that Green Bay’s defense is back to playing great football. Facing a surging Bears’ offense, the Packers held Chicago to 9 points.

The knock against Green Bay down the stretch was that the defense couldn’t hang with good offenses. But the Vikings scored 10 in a Packers road game the week before the D stopped Justin Fields and the Bears.

Jordan Love and the offense are good. Aaron Jones is fresh because he didn’t play half the season. The Pack could roll into Dallas and upset the mighty Cowboys this weekend.

Super Bowl Odds: +1400

Philadelphia didn’t make the list because the Eagles are a disaster. Philly finished the regular season losing 5-of-6 and Jalen Hurts is injured.

Pittsburgh isn’t on the list because T.J. Watt is questionable. If Watt isn’t one hundred percent, the Steelers don’t just lose to Buffalo, Allen and the Bills blowout Pittsburgh.

So what we’re left with are the Miami Dolphins. Sure, the only decent team the Dolphins beat this season were the Dallas Cowboys at home. But, hey, Miami made the playoffs and Tua to Tyreek could be a thing. Also, the Fins are at Kansas City and it’s not like KC played great ball down the stretch. Give the Dolphins a chance.

Wild Card Teams With The Best Chance to Win Super Bowl 50

Winning Super Bowl from a Wild Card position is never easy, especially as it usually means having to go on a road winning streak. It is possible, though, and 6 teams have managed to pull it off since the Wild Card round was put in place back in 1978. Three of the teams that have done it – Broncos, Steelers, and Packers – are actually in the playoffs this season, although only Pittsburgh and Green Bay will be playing in the Wild Card round. If you fancy a wager on one of the Wild Card teams this year, there are a couple that might well be worth taking a look at.

Seattle Seahawks (+450)

The Seahawks have gone to the last 2 Super Bowls, but they have a tougher road ahead of them this season. There is no denying that this team is pretty close to unbeatable on their home turf, but they will not get the luxury of playing there this time around. Road games have proven to be the Achilles heel for this team in the regular season, but in the Pete Carroll years, this is a team that has pretty much been built for the payoffs. That defense is still huge, and they can make the best offense in the world look ordinary. It also helps to have Marshawn Lynch pounding the rock, and if he can get into Beast Mode, look out.

Pittsburgh Steelers (+600)

Back in Super Bowl 40, the Steelers became the first team to win a championship as a #6 seed. They will be starting in the #5 spot this season, and they look to have a pretty favorable Wild Card match-up against a banged-up Cincinnati Bengals squad. A win there would take them to Denver to face a Broncos team that they have already beaten this season. When the Steelers offense is on, it is absolutely unstoppable. There are question marks on the defensive side of the ball, but if that young group can stay healthy and play more consistently, the Steelers could be a solid bet to win their 7th ring.

Kansas City Chiefs (+1700)

Certainly not the sexiest pick of the bunch, as the Chiefs have waltzed into the playoffs somewhat under the radar. That is tough to do when you are coming into the Wild Card weekend on a 10-game winning streak, but yet very few people are actually talking about what is happening over in KC. They are not that great offensively, but their defense is solid. The Chiefs are an opportunistic bunch that make the most of opponents mistakes, so the teams that they face in the playoffs are going to have to make sure that they play an error free style off ball.
