Super Bowl glory beckons for several NFL teams mired in championship droughts. With the season approaching, the betting lines to win the Super Bowl are offering intriguing insights into which teams have the best shot at hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.
Plenty of teams will be looking to end their Super Bowl droughts this season. Not all NFL Teams have what it takes to make it to and then win the Super Bowl. Not only that, but some odds on Super Bowl contenders, like the Dallas Cowboys as an example, make them an underlay to win the Lombardi Trophy.
Check out Super Bowl odds, analysis, and picks for ten teams that not only offer excellent odds but have better chances of winning the Lombardi than their odds imply.

NFL Teams Starting Training: Middle of OTAs
NFL teams are in the middle of OTAs, which means that soon the most popular sports league in the United States will resume training camps in preparation for another amazing National Football League Season. The time for NFL bettors to prepare for the upcoming season is right now. What teams offer the best odds to end their Super Bowl drought? Check out NFL odds, analysis, and picks for the four teams offering the best odds per their chances to lift the Lombardi.
Top Pick: Detroit Lions
Among the four teams, the Lions offer the lowest odds. But Detroit, no doubt, has the best chance of winning this year’s Super Bowl that offers odds of at least +1000.
Detroit’s success starts with Jard Goff. The veteran quarterback already has a Super Bowl appearance on his resume, leading the Los Angeles Rams to a Lombardi Trophy game appearance in 2019.
Since going to Detroit, Goff has emerged as one of the NFL’s top quarterbacks. He almost led the Lions to an upset win over the San Francisco 49ers in last season’s NFC Championship. Not only that, but this season, Goff could be even more spectacular under center.
The reason is because Detroit has the best offensive line in the league. Penei Sewell and Taylor Decker, the Lions’ right tackle and left tackle, are incredible. The middle of the line is also strong.
The defense has the chance to be special with the addition of corner Carlton Davis III and end Marcus Davenport. Also, the NFC North is relatively weak with only the Packers possibly challenging the Lions. All signs point to a possible, maybe even probable, Detroit Super Bowl appearance.
Second Pick: New York Jets
The New York Jets know that their only shot of making the playoffs and possibly winning a Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback is to protect the future hall of famer, which is why in the offseason, the J-E-T-S went out and signed one of the top tackles to play in the NFL in the past decade, former Cowboys player Tyron Smith.
If Smith stays healthy, few players will touch Rodgers with a hand, much less sack AR. If the Jets can protect Rodgers, a Super Bowl will be a real possibility. Two of the top young skill players in the NFL, running back Breece Hall and wide receiver Garrett Wilson, throw down for the Jets.
The defense held the team together last season. For this season, Robert Salah added one of his former players while in San Francisco, Javon Kinlaw. Salah also acquired Hasson Reddick, one of the top overall best defensive players in the league. The D will do its part. So if AR stays upright and healthy, the Jets have a real shot.
Third Pick: Houston Texans
Two seasons ago, the Houston Texans were one of the worst teams in the NFL. An amazing 2023 NFL Draft that yielded quarterback C.J. Stroud and end Will Anderson sparked a playoff appearance last season.
This season, the odds on the Texans to win the Bowl have fallen dramatically to +1600. The reason is because Houston boasts one of the most talented and deep rosters in the NFL. Houston added Joe Mixon and Stefon Diggs to an offense that includes underrated Tank Dell, tight end Dalton Schultz, and fantastic WR Nico Collins.
The offensive line is stellar. All left tackle Laremy Tunsil does is pancake defensive ends and linebackers. Anderson is going to have an even better season than his rookie one because Danielle Hunter, the former Vikings player, is on the other side. Give the Texans a shot for sure.
Fourth Pick: L.A. Chargers
Handicapping coaching in the NFL is tough. No matter who brilliant a coach is, think Sean Payton, if the coach doesn’t have the roster, they can’t get it done.
John Harbaugh has the roster. The Chargers is deep at almost every position. Not only that, but quarterback Justin Herbert is one of the top signal callers in the league. Injuries will be the key for the Bolts.
If everybody stays healthy, Harbaugh and LAC could end up laughing at the +3000 Super Bowl odds. But if a key player goes down, the Bolts might struggle because they play in the same division as Kansas City and the schedule is daunting.
In addition to their AFC West opponents, the Chargers play the Saints, the Ravens, the Falcons, the Browns, and the Bengals. All five of those teams have playoff aspirations. Still, Harbaugh is a great head coach. So if anyone can navigate a team through a land mine schedule, it’s Jimbo.
Top Ten Best NFL Odds to End the Super Bowl Drought
This NFL season, the scent of Lombardi trophies hangs heavy in the air. Several teams haven’t hoisted the Vince Lombardi trophy in decades, and their fans are yearning for a championship.
We’ve analyzed the odds and highlighted the top 10 teams with the best chance to end their Super Bowl droughts and finally bring a championship home.
Below we have the top 10 teams that really have a shot to lift that trophy, plus a small analysis to make it happen this season.
New York Jets
The Jets have one of the league’s top defenses, which means they were halfway there to a Super Bowl last season. Protecting Aaron Rodgers is paramount. So drafting Olu Fashanu and signing Tyron Smith are huge. If Breece Hall, Garrett Williams, and Rodgers stay healthy, the Jets will upset some teams.
Betting Jets to Win Super Bowl
Quarterbacks: Zach Wilson (11) / Trevor Siemian (3) / Tim Boyle (2) / Aaron Rodgers (1)
Pick to Win:
New York Jets
SB Odds: +2400 | MyBookie’s Super Bowl Lines
Miami Dolphins
Adding Odell Beckham Jr. to the Dolphins mix is a boon to the offense. The line must stay healthy for Tua Tagovailoa to take the next step. If the line does stay intact, the defense is plenty good enough to boost the Fins’ Super Bowl chances.
Betting Dolphins to Win Super Bowl
Quarterbacks: ZTua Tagovailoa (17)ach
Pick to Win: Miami Dolphins
SB Odds: +2200 | MyBookie’s Super Bowl Lines
Los Angeles Chargers +3500
Harbaugh is going to add discipline and focus to the NFL team that may have the best roster in the league. Kahlil Mack still has some ability to wreak havoc while Derwin James remains one of the league’s top safeties.
The Bolts didn’t entertain offers for quarterback Justin Herbert. Also, Harbaugh attracted a couple of top running backs from Baltimore, Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins. The +3500 odds make the Chargers a great play.
Betting Chargers to Win Super Bowl
Quarterbacks: Justin Herbert / Easton Stick
Pick to Win: Los Angeles Chargers
SB Odds: +3500 | MyBookie’s Super Bowl Lines
Cleveland Browns +3900
The odds on the Browns are much too high. Deshaun Watson, Nick Chubb, Amari Cooper, and Jerry Jeudy make for a stunning offensive powerhouse. The offensive line remains one of the top units in the NFL and the defense, led by Myles Garrett, is easily a top 5 unit. For sure, everything must come together, but if it does, the Browns can win the Super Bowl.
Betting Browns to Win Super Bowl
Quarterbacks: Deshaun Watson (6) / Joe Flacco (5) / Dorian Thompson-Robinson (3) / P. J. Walker (2) / Jeff Driskel (1)
Pick to Win: Cleveland Browns
SB Odds: +3900 | MyBookie’s Super Bowl Lines
Houston Texans +1525
Although Houston’s odds are borderline fair, the Texans still make the list. C.J. Stroud got a huge boost when the Texans traded for Joe Mixon. Acquiring Stefon Diggs is a sign the Texans are in win now mode.
Danielle Hunter at left defensive end is going to boost Will Anderson’s production. If Jeff Okudah can stay healthy, he’ll be a part of one of the league’s top defensive backfields.
Betting Texans to Win Super Bowl
Quarterbacks: C. J. Stroud (15) / Case Keenum (2)
Pick to Win: Houston Texans
SB Odds: +1525 | MyBookie’s Super Bowl Lines
Green Bay Packers +1850
The Packers added one of the NFL’s top running backs, Josh Jacobs, to an offensive unit that includes Jordan Love, who will take the next step this season, Romeo Doubs, and Christian Watson.
The defense is decent. But there is a question mark regarding the offensive line. So watch for clues during training camp before backing the Packers to win it all.
Betting Packers to Win Super Bowl
Quarterbacks: Jordan Love
Pick to Win: Green Bay Packers
SB Odds: +1850 | MyBookie’s Super Bowl Lines
Detroit Lions +1225
Last season’s NFC runner up offers better than expected odds for the Lions to get over the hump this season. The key will be Jard Goff and his mates staying consistent.
We should expect more plays directed to Sam LaPorta, who is already one of the top tight ends in the league. Carlton Davis III comes over Tampa to boost the defensive backfield.
Betting Lions to Win Super Bowl
Quarterbacks: Jared Goff (17)
Pick to Win: Detroit Lions
SB Odds: +1225 | MyBookie’s Super Bowl Lines
Buffalo Bills +1225
Josh Allen could struggle to find a legit WR1 this season. But Buffalo still makes the list because the defense is solid and Allen is one of the top quarterbacks in the league.
Still, losing Stefon Diggs could be a big deal. So like with Green Bay’s offense line, check out training camp and see if Allen has discovered his next top target. If he hasn’t, the +1225 makes the Bills an underlay.
Betting Bills to Win Super Bowl
Quarterbacks: Josh Allen (17
Pick to Win: Buffalo Bills
SB Odds: +1225 | MyBookie’s Super Bowl Lines
Cincinnati Bengals +1250
Joe Burrow must stay healthy. Without a doubt, that’s paramount to Cincinnati’s success. What we must remember about Cincy is that they were a borderline playoff team with Burrow injured and on the sidelines.
So if Burrow stays healthy, the Bengals should challenge the Ravens for the AFC North title. Zack Moss is a nice replacement for Joe Mixon. Offensive tackle Amarius Mims is going to fit in great along the line.
Betting Bengals to Win Super Bowl
Quarterbacks: Joe Burrow (10) / Jake Browning (7)
Pick to Win: Cincinnati Bengals
SB Odds: +1250 | MyBookie’s Super Bowl Lines
Jacksonville Jaguars +4500
The Jaguars made two moves during the offseason that have catapulted them to Super Bowl possibility. The first was to acquire a legit WR1 in former Bill Gabe Davis.
Davis never got a chance to shine in Buffalo. He will in Jacksonville and is an upgrade over Calvin Ridley, who doesn’t seem to care about playing football.
The second was signing Arik Armstead to play end away from the San Francisco 49ers. Armstead is an absolute terror. He’ll play on the opposite side of one of the best defenders in the league in Josh Allen. Devin Lloyd and Travon Walker make up one of the top linebacking units in the NFL. So if Trevor Lawrence takes the next step, the Jags will have a shot.
Betting Jaguars to Win Super Bowl
Quarterbacks: Trevor Lawrence / C. J. Beathard
Pick to Win: Jacksonville Jaguars
SB Odds: +4500 | MyBookie’s Super Bowl Lines

Best NFL Odds to End Super Bowl Drought This Season
Previous Betting News
If you’re ready for some online sportsbook analysis, then you’re in for a treat! Right now, you’re going to get some expert insight into the teams with the best NFL odds of ending their respective Super Bowl droughts. Let’s get started with a bit of Super Bowl history.
Teams with Best NFL Odds to End Super Bowl Drought This Season
With a whopping six titles, the Pittsburgh Steelers (6–2) have won the most Super Bowls of any NFL franchise. San Francisco an Dallas have both won five Super Bowls. The 49ers and Cowboys are joined by New England and Denver with a record eight Super Bowl appearances. Four current NFL teams (Cleveland, Detroit, Jacksonville and Houston) have never appeared in a Super Bowl, including franchises that have either relocated or changed their names, although the Browns (1964) and Lions (1957) have both won NFL championship games prior to the creation of the Super Bowl.
Carolina Panthers +950
The Carolina Panthers have appeared in two Super Bowls in franchise history, including last season when they lost to Denver 24-10. Carolina also appeared in Super Bowl 38 against New England in 2004 where they lost a heartbreaker against the Patriots 32-29.
Now, Carolina is poised to make consecutive Super Bowl appearances after going 15-1 during the regular season a year ago. The Panthers are brimming with talent, starting with 2015 league MVP Cam Newton and they are my No.1 pick to end their Super Bowl drought in 2016.
Arizona Cardinals +1100
The Arizona Cardinals are another strong candidate to bring their Super Bowl drought to an abrupt halt in 2016. The Cards were on the wrong end of a heartbreaking 27-23 loss to Pittsburgh in Super Bowl 43 but are coming off a stellar 13-3 record in 2015 and still have the vast majority o their key performers back this coming season.
Cincinnati Bengals +1600
Sure, the Cincinnati Bengals lost both of their Super Bowl appearances against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowls 16 and 23, but that as no bearing for me on today’s current Bengals. Not only did Cincinnati go 12-4 this past season, but they’ve appeared in the postseason in five straight seasons. I thought the Bengals had a great chance to reach Super Bowl 50 last season – until starting quarterback Andy Dalton got injured late in he regular season. Now, heading into 2016, I think it very well could happen for the Bengals.
Kansas City Chiefs +2500
The Chiefs haven’t reached the Super Bowl since winning it all way back in 1970, but I think they’ve got a decent shot of getting there in 2016. Kansas City is coming off a fine 11-5 season in 2015 and has an excellent defense, a sage head coach in Andy Reid and a steady quarterback in veteran Alex Smith. Don’t laugh people…the Chiefs could surprise in 2016!
Minnesota Vikings +2500
Sure, the Vikings haven’t appeared in a Super Bowl since losing Super Bowl 11 way back in 1977, but today, the Vikings are a young team on the rise under no-nonsense head coach Mike Zimmer. After going 11-5 last season and winning the NFC North division crown, Minnesota is looking to take the next step in its Super Bowl quest in 2016. The Vikes will however, have to get past a gauntlet of other legitimate NFC Super Bowl contenders.
Dallas Cowboys +2100
The Cowboys haven’t appeared in a Super Bowl since winning Super Bowl 30 in 1996, but they could be poised for a surprise campaign in 2016 if quarterback Tony Romo can stay healthy and rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott shines!
Longest Playoff Drought Teams – Number of Years – Odds
Buffalo Bills – 13 years +4500
As long as Rex Ryan is the head coach in Buffalo, I say it’s not going to happen!
Oakland Raiders – 13 years +6000
The Raiders finally have a solid rebuilding game plan, but Derek Carr and company are still a couple of years away!
Cleveland Browns – 13 years +21000
The Browns made a great hire in new head coach Hue Jackson, but they’re at least three or four years away from anything significant – if they find the right quarterback (again).
Los Angeles Rams – 11 years +5000
I like No. 1 overall draft pick, quarterback Jared Goff, but the Rams are a least a couple of years – and a new head coach – away from challenging for anything significant.
