Super Bowl 57 Betting Predictions: Which Team Might Win Despite Their Odds

Written by on January 6, 2023

As we head into the final week of the NFL regular season, things are still very much up in the air. Besides the usual last weekend scramble for playoff spots, we also have the situation with the Bills and Bengals, whose game was suspended, to attend to. The NFL is still decision how to handle that particular situation, with several different options apparently on the table. Given that we don’t know the final matchups, or even the format for that matter, picking a Super Bowl winner is a little tricky, but we are going to give it our best shot. Let’s take a closer look at each conference, where we will pick winners before making that final Super Bowl Betting selection.

Forget the Odds, Who Will Win the Super Bowl this Season ? | NFL Betting Predictions

AFC

As mentioned, the Bills/Bengals situation has created an issue that the league has yet to decide on. There is talk about an 8th team being added or the Conference Championship Game being played at a neutral venue, but it really is all just speculation at the moment. That aside, we are still ready to pick a conference champion.

Prior to the start of the season, the general consensus was that the AFC would come down to another matchup between the Chiefs and Bills, who delivered an instant classic in the Divisional Round last season. It still looks like that could be possible, but the Cincinnati Bengals, who upset the apple cart in a big way last season, are looming large.

I think the whole Damar Hamlin situation cold serve as a huge motivator for the Bills as opposed to being a distraction, especially now that he seems to be doing well. They already have a win over the Chiefs this season, but I do want to see how the league handles the question of seeding and home field advantage.

The Bengals do worry me a little, but I still think it will be the Bills who represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.

NFC

A couple of weeks ago, the Philadelphia Eagles looks like a no-brainer, but back-to-back losses and an injury to Jalen Hurts puts a bit of a question mark on them now. Hurts may well be back this weekend and it will be interesting to see how he performs. Is he at full health or is he being rushed back to try and secure the #1 seed?

In terms of the hot hand right now, you have to look at the San Francisco 49ers, who are absolutely rolling. My concern with them, though, is that while they are winning, they are still heading into the playoffs with their 3rd string QB, Brock Purdy, under center. I fear that it may be too much to ask him to lead the 49ers to the promised land.

The team that I have been looking at all season as a dark horse is the Dallas Cowboys. They finally look ready to make a run at a championship, their first since 1996, and had a huge win over the Eagles a couple of weeks back.

I am taking Dallas to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl 57

Okay so my prediction is that we will have a Super Bowl between the Buffalo Bills and the Dallas Cowboys. The easy pick would be to take Buffalo, the preseason favorite, but I am going to take a chance on the Cowboys at odds of +1075.

I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
