The ATP Millennium Estoril Open in Estoril, Portugal, is an ATP 250 clay tournament that has been played at the Clube de Ténis do Estoril every year since 2015. Sebastian Baez is the defending champion, while past winners include Albert Ramos-Vinolas (2021), Stefanos Tsitsipas (2019), and Pablo Carreno Busta (2017).
This year’s event coincides with the ATP Houston event, which has attracted the majority of American players on tour. The Estoril Open field features Casper Ruud, Alejando Davidovich Fokina, and Hubert Hurkacz.
Let’s take a look at the ATP odds for the Millennium Estoril Open and some of the first-round odds at MyBookie.
MYBOOKIE: ATP Millennium Estoril Open Championship Betting Review
When: April 3-9, 2023
Where: Clube de Ténis do Estoril, Cascais, Portugal
Surface: Clay / outdoor
The Favorite – Casper Ruud +240
The world No. 5 is having a disappointing start to the 2023 season with a 5-6 record. Ruud had the best year of his career in 2022, but he hasn’t been able to string together consecutive victories this season. He hasn’t advanced past the second round in a tournament this season.
Luckily, Ruud is a strong clay court player and should be able to generate some momentum this week in Portugal. As the top seed, he has a bye through to the Round of 16, where he’ll meet the winner of Giulio Zeppieri and Joao Sousa. Ruud has won eight of his nine ATP Tour titles on clay court and has a career record of 195-94 on the surface.

The Smart Pick – Hubert Hurkacz +550
Hurkacz has the most favorable draw in this tournament and is a talented clay court player in his own right. The 6-foot-5 Polish player, who is 14-7 this season, has a bye into the Round of 16 and will meet the winner of Bernabe Zapata Miralles and qualifier Henrique Rocha. He would potentially meet Albert Ramos-Vinolas or Miomir Kecmanovic in the quarter-finals.
Hurkacz is 90-60 in his career on clay. It isn’t his best surface, but he had his best clay court season in a while in 2022, with a 9-4 record. He should fare well this week.

Longshot Pick – Ramos-Vinolas +2200
Spanish players are seemingly always favorites on clay court events, and for good reason. Ramos-Vinolas won the event in 2021, and a Spaniard has won three of the seven Estoril Open tournaments since 2015. There was an all-Spaniard battle in the final in 2016.
Ramos-Vinolas is on Hurkacz’s side of the draw, and it’s likely those players will meet in the quarter-finals. The winner should have a good chance to advance to and win the final match. Ramos-Vinolas lost his last three matches but, like Ruud, should be able to find his game and get some momentum on clay.
Ramos-Vinolas is a career 519-317 on clay and just 110-186 combined on all other surfaces. If there’s ever a time to bet on the Spaniard, it’s this weekend in Portugal.
