ATS Picks in the Seventh Week of the Season
The NFL season is moving along, and Week 7 gives us another chance to bet against the spread (ATS) on some key matchups.
After a Week 6 where favorites dominated, Week 7 might bring back the surprises that we expect in the NFL.
Let’s look at four of the best ATS picks for Week 7.
Writer’s ATS Picks for the NFL Week 7
Denver Broncos vs. New Orleans Saints (-2)
Thursday, October 17th, 2024
Week 7 kicks off with a matchup between the Denver Broncos and the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football.
The Saints are 2-point favorites at home, but the Broncos have a chance to cover, especially considering the defensive struggles of New Orleans.
Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has shown potential and should be able to make plays against a Saints defense that has struggled.
The Saints, led by Dennis Allen, have been inconsistent on both sides of the ball.
Denver’s defense should be able to slow down New Orleans enough to keep it close.
NFL Pick: Broncos win 20-17.
Kansas City Chiefs at San Francisco 49ers (-1.5)
Sunday, October 20th, 2024
The Kansas City Chiefs travel to San Francisco to take on the 49ers.
The Chiefs are slight underdogs on the road, but Patrick Mahomes is always a threat to lead his team to a win, especially in games like this one.
The 49ers have been dealing with injuries on defense, which has created some weaknesses that Mahomes can exploit.
On the other side, the Chiefs’ defense has been solid, and they should be able to contain Brock Purdy enough to keep this game close.
Expect a tight game between these two teams, with the Chiefs covering the +1.5 point spread.
NFL Pick: Chiefs win 24-23 and cover the spread.
Buffalo Bills (-8.5) vs. Tennessee Titans (O/U 42)
Sunday, October 20th, 2024
The Buffalo Bills are heavy favorites in their Week 7 matchup against the Tennessee Titans.
The Bills’ offense, led by Josh Allen, should have no trouble moving the ball against a Titans defense that has struggled against both the run and the pass.
Tennessee’s offense has had a hard time getting things going, especially with quarterback Will Levis in charge.
This game is a good chance for the Bills to bounce back after a tough stretch, and they should be able to cover the 8.5-point spread at home.
With a total of 42 points, expect the Bills to dominate on both sides of the ball.
NFL Pick: Bills win 33-13 and cover the spread.
New England Patriots (+5.5) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (O/U 42.5)
Sunday, October 20th, 2024
The New England Patriots head to London to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in an early Sunday game.
The Patriots have found new life with rookie quarterback Drake Maye, and their passing attack could take advantage of a Jacksonville defense that has struggled.
The Jaguars have not been consistent, especially on defense, and their coverage has been weak.
Maye should have plenty of chances to connect with his receivers and keep this game close.
Look for the Patriots to pull off the upset in what could be a high-scoring game, potentially going over the 42.5-point total.
NFL Pick: Patriots win 27-24.
These are just a few of the top ATS picks for Week 7.
The NFL is always unpredictable, and anything can happen on game day, but these matchups provide good chances for those looking to bet against the spread.

The National Football League is ready to turn its page to Week 7 of the season. It is wild how quickly the season is moving along and how we are getting closer and closer to the halfway point of the season.
There are no longer any teams left without a loss in the National Football League. The Carolina Panthers are the lone team without a win.

New Orleans Saints over Jacksonville Jaguars | Thursday Night Football
NFL ATS: Saints -1
Thursday, October 19th, 2023 at 8:15 PM | PRIME VIDEO
Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, LA
The fans in New Orleans are going to be wild and crazy for this game. They know this is a big game. They know the Saints need this win. They know the Saints have a chance to win their division.
The Jaguars are hot right now but could be without their quarterback, Trevor Lawrence. Whether he plays or not, the Saints are going to win this game. If he plays, he could be a little hampered by the injury.
If he does not, the Saints will swallow up the backup with their solid defense. Taking the Saints at home is the play for Thursday Night Football.

Buffalo Bills over New England Patriots
NFL ATS: Bills -9.5
Sunday, October 22nd, 2023 at 1:00 PM | CBS
Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, MA
Some say the New England Patriots are the worst team in the National Football League. Others think Mac Jones is the worst starting quarterback in the league.
On the other side of it, people are starting to wonder if the Buffalo Bills are a little overhyped. The Bills have two losses, but a third one was a catch away in the ugly 14-9 win in Sunday Night Football against the Giants.
Regardless of that, the Bills defense is going to make life miserable for Jones. Josh Allen should be better than he was Sunday. Buffalo wins this game by double digits.

Las Vegas Raiders over Chicago Bears
NFL ATS: Raiders -3
Sunday, October 22nd, 2023 at 1:00 PM | FOX
Soldier Field, Chicago, IL
The Chicago Bears are possibly without their quarterback, Justin Fields. This is coming off a week where they did not have Khalil Herbert. The Bears are in big trouble without their top couple of offensive weapons.
Sure, the Raiders are down their starting quarterback as well, but Josh Jacobs and Devonte Adams are the reason the Raiders win this game. Plus, a hungry defense for the Raiders.
Look for the Raiders to come to Chicago and grab a win by a touchdown or more.

MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Los Angeles Rams over Pittsburgh Steelers
NFL ATS: Rams -3.5
Sunday, October 22nd, 2023 at 4:05 PM | FOX
Lumen Field, Seattle, WA
The Rams and Steelers are two teams that many are just not sure what to expect. Pittsburgh is coming off their bye week, where they saw all three divisional opponents win their Week 6 game. The Rams are making moves, and with Cooper Kupp back, that offense just continues to ball out.
Kyren Williams has been good for the Rams, and they still continue to play good defense. A West Coast team coming East is never easy, but the Rams’ defense makes life miserable for Kenny Pickett here.
Betting the Rams to win by a touchdown is the way to go in this one on Sunday.

Philadelphia Eagles over Miami Dolphins | Sunday Night Football
NFL ATS: Eagles -2.5
Sunday, October 22nd, 2023 at 4:05 PM | FOX
Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA
Two of the best teams in the league. The Eagles lost their first game of the season, as Jalen Hurts was poor in the loss to the Jets.
The Dolphins do not have the Jets defense. The fans in Philadelphia will be ready for the high-flying Miami offense.
While the Dolphins will score, not sure they have enough defense to slow down a frustrated Philadelphia offense. The Eagles win this game at home by more than a field goal.

Top NFL Week 7 ATS Odds and Picks for the 2022 Season
Previous Betting News
We are one-third of the way through the NFL season, and we are starting to see some definite favorites emerge from the pack. The Buffalo Bills started the season as the favorite to win the Super Bowl and they are backing that up, going 5-1 after a massive win over the Kansas City Chiefs this past weekend. The Philadelphia Eagles remain the only unbeaten team in the league, which is probably a surprise to a lot of people, while the Minnesota Vikings are rolling and beginning to look legit. As we head into Week 7, we do so with a 10-5 record in our ATS picks this season. We have yet to have a perfect week, but we also haven’t had a losing one, so let’s see if we can keep that going with our NFL ATS picks for Week 7. With all that said, it’s time to look at our selections for the weekend so you can bet against their NFL Odds.
Week 7 Against The Spread Betting Picks | 2022 National Football League Odds
Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans (-3)
Sometimes, a bye week can come at a time when you don’t really want it. Yes, it’s good for the players to get a rest and heal, but it can also prove to be a momentum killer. The Tennessee Titans got off to an 0-2 start to the season, but they roared back to win 3 in a row before getting last weekend off. Can they get back to their recent form in what is a critical AFC South matchup? The Colts are sitting at 3-2-1 on the season and are winners of 2 in a row, and while winning is good, you do have to say that they have not been particularly convincing on the offensive side of the football. The Titans have covered in each of their last 6 games played in the month of October, so let’s pick them to make it 7 in a row.
New York Giants (+3) at Jacksonville Jaguars
If we are going to talk about surprise teams this season, we need to be talking about the New York Giants. After years of being out in the wilderness, the Giants suddenly look like a contender, coming into Week 7 with a 5-1 record and some big wins under their belt. A trip to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars looks like another win waiting to happen, but while the Jaguars are 2-4 on the season, they have been a good deal more competitive this season and are actually in as a slight favorite for this one. The Giants have proven to be a great bet against the spread, covering in 5 of their 6 games this season. I think they cover here quite easily.
Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens (-6 ½)
The AFC North is about as tight as it gets at the moment, but will it get tighter still after this weekend? The Cleveland Browns can make things very close with a win, while the Ravens might get a little bit of separation at the top if they come away with the victory. It is the Ravens who come into this one as the favorite, but can they win and cover the spread? The trends would suggest that they can do just that, as they have covered in 4 of their last 5 meetings with the Browns. Making things even more convincing is the fact that the Ravens are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 home games versus a team with a losing record.

NFL 2021 Season Week 7 ATS Betting Analysis & Picks
Previous Betting News
The first 6 weeks of the NFL season are in the books and I’m not really sure that we can say that a clear Super Bowl favorite has emerged from the pack. Yes, the Arizona Cardinals are the only team still with an unbeaten record, plus there are a handful of 5-1 teams who look very good, but you also have to say that no one team has really looked outstanding every single week. That’s good news for football fans who want to see an exciting playoff race, but it does make things a little tougher when it comes to handicapping games. We had ourselves a very good performance in Week 6 after a bit of a slow start. We nailed our SU and ATS picks for the week, hitting 3-team parlays in both. Let’s see if we can keep that going in Week 7 so you can continue betting against the NFL odds.
Week 7 ATS Picks for the 2021 Season | NFL Betting
Carolina Panthers (-3) at New York Giants
While it is hard to pick out a clear Super Bowl favorite right now, it’s not quite so tough to discern the worst teams in the league. The 1-5 New York Giants are certainly in that conversation, although they have had some success versus teams from the NFC South, going 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 in those games. That, though, is a bit of an anomaly for a team that is just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall. It’s been tough to figure the Panthers out this season, as they have been up and down on their way to a 3-3 record. One thing that is clear, though, is that they are a good bet when playing on the road, covering the spread in 8 of their last 9 games away from home. I like them to cover again on Sunday.
Washington Football Team at Green Bay Packers (-9 ½)
The Green Bay Packers are the prime example of what we were talking about at the top of this piece. Yes, they have won 5 in a row to get to 5-1 on the season, but they have not always looked particularly convincing on their path to get to that mark. Having said that, they have covered the spread in each of those wins, so they deserve some credit there. They are also a historically good bet in the month of October, covering the spread in 8 of the last 9 games played in that month. On the flipside, you have a Washington team that is just 1-5 ATS on the season, and while they are 4-2 ATS in their last 6 visits to Green Bay, I think they are in some trouble this weekend.
Indianapolis Colts (+3 ½) at San Francisco 49ers
The Colts jumped out to a poor start to the season, losing each of their first 3 games, but they have shown signs of life since then. Indianapolis has won 2 of the last 3 and should have won them all, but they gassed a big lead against the Baltimore Ravens a couple of weeks back. All is not well in San Francisco at the moment, as the 49ers have slipped to 2-4 after losing 3 in a row ahead of this game. There is a lot to like about the Colts in this one, starting with the fact that they are 4-1 ATS in their last 5, as well as being 5-2 ATS in their last 7 versus the 49ers. I’m going with the Colts to cover again on Sunday.

2019 NFL Week 7 ATS Betting Picks
Previous Betting News
While it’s not entirely surprising that the defensing Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots are still unbeaten through 6 weeks of the season, the San Francisco 49ers also being perfect is a little bit of a surprise. Those are the only two teams to have made it to this point in the season unscathed, but with a lot of football still to be played, who knows how long they will stay that way. With Week 6 in the books, save for the Monday night game, it’s time to look ahead to Week 7 Odds and predictions.
As we do every week, we are going to break down the upcoming games. For the purposes of this piece, we are going to focus on ATS picks, but we will also have SU and O/U selections coming your way.
2019 NFL Week 7 ATS Betting Picks
Kansas City Chiefs (-3 ½) at Denver Broncos
After a slow start to the season, the Denver Broncos appear to be putting things together, as they have now won back to back games heading into Week 7. That winning run is going to be put to the test this Thursday night, though, as they will be going against a Kansas City Chiefs team looking to break out of a 2-game losing skid.
It is the results of the last couple of weeks that have the bookies putting up a point spread that is tighter than you might have expected. The Chiefs are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games versus Denver, so let’s take KC to cover again.
LA Rams (-3) at Atlanta Falcons
You hate to talk about coaches losing their job, but as the season progresses, it becomes clear that some coaches are going to be on the hot seat. It’s tough to argue against Dan Quinn of the Atlanta Falcons having the hottest seat of the bunch right now, as a Week 6 loss saw the Falcons drop to 1-5 on the season.
They will host the LA Rams this weekend, another team who are underperforming at 3-3. The Rams are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games, as well as being a perfect 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games on the road.
New Orleans Saints (+3 ½) at Chicago Bears
There were a lot of people who thought that the New Orleans Saints might be in trouble after seeing Drew Brees go down with injury, but Teddy Bridgewater has proved to be a worthy backup, leading the Saints to a 5-1 record on the season. While the Chicago Bears are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games, they are just 2-3 ATS this season.
On the flipside, the Saints have covered the spread in 4 of their last 5 games, while also going 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games versus teams from the NFC North. That all adds up to New Orleans covering this weekend.
NFL Week 7 Betting Trends
San Francisco 49ers (-10) at Washington Redskins in NFL Week 7
As we mentioned at the top of this piece, the San Francisco 49ers are one of only two teams to have made it through the first 6 weeks of the season with an unbeaten record. They have what looks to be a rather straightforward game against the Washington Commanders this coming weekend.
Washington are coming on off their first week of the season, albeit against a Miami team that might just be the worst in the league. The 49ers have covered the spread in 4 of their last 5 games and should make it 5 of 6 here.
NFL Week 7 ATS Betting Picks
Previous Betting News
Week 6 of the NFL season proved to be another thrilling one, with a number of games being decided in the dying moments. The Dolphins, Steelers, and Patriots all came away with big wins after putting together late drives to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. It’s going to be a tough week to follow, but there are certainly enough good match-ups on the schedule to make it look as though we might have a shot at topping the events of this past Sunday. As we do every week, we will be delivering some early NFL betting picks. We are starting out by looking at some ATS bets, but we will also have SU and O/U predictions coming your way today.
NFL Week 7 ATS Betting Picks
Tennessee Titans at LA Chargers (-6 ½)
The Chargers are not getting a lot of the headlines in the NFL this season, but they perhaps should be, as they are now settling into a nice little run of form. This week, they will have a home date with a Tennessee Titans team that is on a bit of a rollercoaster ride this year.
After beating the Eagles in OT to go to 3-1, the Titans have since lost to the Bills and the Ravens, scoring just 12 points in those two games. They have only won 1 of their last 10 meetings with the Chargers and have failed to cover the spread (0-4-1) in their last 5 games versus LA. This looks like a very good bet with the Chargers in as a 6 ½ point favorite.
Latest NFL Week 7 Betting Trends
Cleveland Browns at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3)
A season that started with so much promise in Cleveland is quickly turning into another disappointment. The Browns have now slipped to 2-3-1, a record that sees them once again back at the bottom of the AFC North.
While they have been better than in recent seasons, they are still not doing enough to get anywhere near the postseason, putting their coach, Hue Jackson, very much in the hot seat. The Bucs have cooled off dramatically after a good start, losing 3 in a row, although 2 of those losses could easily have gone the other way. Cleveland is just 3-10-1 in their last 14 road games, so not a lot to like there.
Latest NFL Week 7 Betting Trends
Minnesota Vikings (-3 ½) at New York Jets
The Vikings have not really been the team we thought they might be this season, but with back to back wins under their belts, they may finally be starting to turn things around. This weekend, the Vikings will head into New York to face a Jets team that is seeing some return on their investment in rookie QB Sam Darnold.
The young man has had some rough moments through his opening few weeks, which is to be expected, but he has also shown some real signs of promise. The Vikings routinely struggle against the Jets, going just 2-4 ATS in their last 6 meetings, but I think they will win and cover here.
Houston Texans (+4) at Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars came within one defensive stop of being in the Super Bowl last season, with many believing that their D would help them make another run this season. Things started well enough, but Jacksonville has now lost 2 in a row, giving up a combined 70 points in those games.
This week, they will be hosting a Houston Texans team that is starting to get their act together by winning 3 straight games. Houston has had a lot of success in Jacksonville in recent years, going 5-2 SU and ATS in their last 7 visits, so let’s take them to cover again this weekend.
Top ATS Betting Matchups & NFL Week 7 Picks
Previous Betting News
If you are a Jets fan, you still are probably upset that the officials overturned New York tight end’s Austin Seferian-Jenkins’ touchdown catch in the fourth quarter vs. New England. Seferian-Jenkins’ overturned touchdown came with 8:24 remaining in the fourth quarter and the Jets trailing 24-14. Because the ball was ruled to be a fumble out of bounds, the play resulted in a touchback and the Jets losing possession. The Patriots won 24-17. I think it was the wrong call, but the league has justified it Monday. With the latest NFL lines up to date, here are two ATS betting matchups to choose as your NFL Week 7 picks: Tampa Bay at Buffalo and New Orleans at Green Bay.

Why Bet On Tampa Bay?
Only if QB Jameis Winston plays. The former Heisman winner left Sunday’s 38-33 loss with a right shoulder injury. Winston took a crushing blow from Cardinals linebacker Chandler Jones on third down of the opening possession, falling hard on his throwing shoulder. He attempted to work through the injury but looked over at quarterbacks coach Mike Bajakian and shook his head. Winston has never missed a game since he was drafted in 2015. He’s never had a significant injury as a pro or a significant injury, period.
The injury is being called a sprained AC joint but Winston could play through it. The Bucs were down 24-0 when Winston exited the game. He was able to throw on the sideline during the game but did not re-enter the contest. Backup Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 290 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions as Tampa scrapped to get back into the contest. Sitting at 2-3 in the bottom of the NFC South, the Bucs need him because 2-4 teams don’t make the playoffs often.
It’s a tough matchup for Winston if he does play as Buffalo ranked fourth in pass DVOA through five weeks (per FO) and has limited quarterbacks to the second-lowest passer rating (66.5).
Why Bet On Buffalo?
The Bills (3-2) are about as healthy as possible as they come off their bye week. The Bills on Monday activated OT Seantrel Henderson from suspension and waived CB Greg Mabin. Henderson, who served the final five games of a 10-game NFL substance-abuse suspension to begin the season, is the fifth offensive tackle on the 53-man roster.
Coach Sean McDermott on Monday termed the right guard position an “ongoing competition” between Vladimir Ducasse and John Miller. After Miller started the first four games of the season, Ducasse got the start in Week 5.
Will top WR Jordan Matthews play? Matthews (thumb) said he has yet to catch passes with his surgically-repaired hand. Matthews underwent thumb surgery on his right hand at the beginning of this month. He was spotted making one-handed grabs after practice on Monday, but he has yet to catch the ball with his injured hand. He has been doing some work with tennis balls. McDermott called Matthews day-to-day.
The Bills won’t have tight end Charles Clay as he recently underwent arthroscopic surgery on his knee and will miss multiple weeks. He is dealing with a torn meniscus and sprained MCL.

Why Bet on New Orleans?
The Saints (3-2) are on a three-game winning streak. They won the highest-scoring game of the year on Sunday, 52-38 over Detroit. Running backs Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara combined for 237 yards from scrimmage, and the Saints’ resurgent defense forced five turnovers and scored a franchise-record three times. New Orleans, which has a winning record for the first time since its last playoff season in 2013, built a five-touchdown lead and held on for dear life. Not bad for a Saints team that was reeling at 0-2 less than a month ago, following two straight double-digit losses to start the year.
Not only did the Saints’ defense score three TDs for the first time in franchise history, but they had only scored one total defensive TD combined from 2013 to 2017 before Sunday. The first was a sack/fumble by DE Alex Okafor that was recovered by safety Kenny Vaccaro in the end zone in the first quarter. The second was an interception return for a TD by rookie cornerback Marshon Lattimore in the third quarter. And the biggest was a batted pass and interception by DE Cameron Jordan in the end zone with 5:08 remaining after the Lions had turned a 45-10 deficit into a 45-38 nail-biter.
Drew Brees completed 21-of-31 passes for 186 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. His touchdowns came on simple passes. One was a dump off on a shallow crossing route Ted Ginn took 20 yards to the house, and the second was to a wide-open Michael Hoomanawanui in the end zone. Brees also threw a pick-six late with the Lions rallying.
Why Bet on Green Bay?
If you have faith in backup QB Brett Hundley, because two-time MVP Aaron Rodgers is likely done for the season after breaking his collarbone in Sunday’s loss to Minnesota. The Packers were 6.5-point favorites over the Saints last week in an early line available at the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas. When the Westgate reposted the line Sunday night, after Rodgers’ injury, New Orleans was a 3.5-point favorite. Now it’s up to 5.5.
Rodgers suffered the injury in the first quarter of the Packers’ 23-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Hundley replaced him and struggled. Hundley’s first pass of the day was intercepted by cornerback Xavier Rhodes, which led to a Vikings touchdown drive. Hundley threw two more interceptions, along with a touchdown, and finished 18-of-33 passing for 157 yards in his first meaningful regular-season action since the Packers picked him in the fifth round of the 2015 draft.
Rodgers missed seven games in 2013, after breaking his left collarbone. The Packers went 2-4-1 without Rodgers then and used three different quarterbacks: Seneca Wallace, Scott Tolzien and Matt Flynn. The injury to his right (throwing) shoulder is expected to keep Rodgers out longer. He also needs surgery.
Hundley will be backed up for now by Joe Callahan, a little-known QB who from Wesley College who has never taken a regular-season NFL snap. To make matters worse, right tackle Bryan Bulaga exited Week 6 against the Vikings with a concussion. Bulaga just returned Sunday from a multi-week ankle injury. It was the first time all season the Packers had their No. 1 offensive line, and Bulaga, LT David Bakhtiari, and LG Lane Taylor all got hurt again Sunday.
Expert Predictions for NFL Week 7
If Winston plays, Tampa will win in Buffalo. I’m taking the Packers getting those points at home even without Rodgers.

Why Bet On Seattle?
The Seahawks come off their bye so they are about as healthy as possible. They entered the break off an impressive 16-10 win over the Rams. Seahawks safety Earl Thomas was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 5. He almost singlehandedly won the game for Seattle over the Rams, a Todd Gurley fumble at the goal line in the first quarter that resulted in a touchback instead of touchdown. Thomas also intercepted Jared Goff late in the fourth quarter with the Seahawks winning by three.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll says Eddie Lacy and Thomas Rawls have “equal status” in the team’s backfield. “There’s no reason to have any criteria for it right now because we like our guys, and really, equal status now is good for us,” Carroll said. “We’ll see how they do.” Both backs received 10 touches in the win over the Rams, though Rawls out-snapped Lacy 32-19.
During the bye, left guard Luke Joeckel had having an arthroscopic procedure to help with lingering effects of his major knee injury from last season. Carroll said it probably would keep Joeckel from playing in Seattle’s Week 7 game against the Giants. The Seahawks are hoping that the week off will give defensive lineman Michael Bennett a chance to rest the plantar fascia foot injury he suffered vs. the Rams. Seattle is already playing without its other starting defensive end, Cliff Avril, so Bennett coming back from the bye healthy is all the more important.

Why Bet On NY Giants?
New York was a shocking 23-10 winner in Denver on Sunday night as a two-touchdown underdog and without its top three receivers in Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall and Sterling Shepard. Beckham and Marshall are done for the year. Shepard might return this week. The Giants had been one of three winless teams along with Cleveland and San Francisco.
Jason Pierre-Paul had a trio of sacks for the Giants. Not only were the three receivers out, five other starters were sidelined with injuries and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was suspended for insubordination. The Broncos were healthy, coming off a bye and leading the league in defense and swagger. Yet the Giants had a goal-line stand to go with four sacks and two interceptions, double their season total.
Giants coach Ben McAdoo gave up play-calling duties. OC Mike Sullivan called Sunday’s upset of the Broncos, which saw the G-Men batter Denver’s previously No. 1 ranked run defense on the ground. Eli Manning was forced to stay within himself, attempting only 19 passes. Manning completed 11 for 128 yards and a TD.
Orleans Darkwa rushed 21 times for 117 yards in Week 6 against the Broncos. Darkwa is the first running back to go over 100 yards against the Broncos this year. He was featured heavily. And he did it in just 27 snaps. The fourth-year back is now averaging 5.7 yards per carry on a team that hasn’t run the ball well this season.
Falcons at Patriots NFL Odds & Game Info

Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxboro
TV: NBC
Radio: 92.9 The Game (Atlanta) / 98.5 FM (New England)

Opening NFL Week 7 Lines: Patriots -3
Why Bet On Atlanta?
The Falcons are looking for payback for last season’s 34-28 overtime Super Bowl loss to New England, blowing a 28-3 third-quarter lead. It was the first Super Bowl OT ever – the Falcons never even got possession of the ball.
Atlanta (3-2) comes off back-to-back upset losses at home. It was up 17-0 on Sunday vs. the Dolphins but fell 20-17. Matt Ryan had another crucial interception with the Falcons in position to at least attempt a tying field goal. Cordrea Tankersley got a hand on a pass intended for Austin Hooper and Reshed Jones swooped in to make the game-clinching interception with 39 seconds remaining. Ryan, who has thrown six interceptions in the past three games, completed 24 of 35 for 248 yards.
Falcons coach Dan Quinn said there were no setbacks from the players that were banged up leading into the Dolphins’ game such as Julio Jones (hip flexor), Vic Beasley Jr. (hamstring). He expects Mohamed Sanu (hamstring) and Courtney Upshaw (ankle, knee) to get some practice time after both sat out.
Quinn wants to get star WR Julio Jones more touches. Jones leads the Falcons with 25 catches for 367 yards but has no touchdowns through five games. He has 38 targets, which is tied for 32nd among all players, tight ends and running backs included. Pittsburgh’s Antonio Brown leads the league with 72 targets.
Quinn also said the Super Bowl has not been an everyday motivation for his team. Of course, it’s a source of frustration but it’s not a motivating factor, he said.
Why Bet On New England?
The Pats didn’t cover the spread Sunday but won a tougher-than-expected game at the Jets, 24-17. Tom Brady passed for 257 yards with two touchdowns. Brady, who has 187 career regular-season victories, surpassed Brett Favre (186) and Peyton Manning (186) for the most regular-season victories by a starting quarterback in NFL history. He has 212 career wins (including the postseason), the most all-time by a starting quarterback.
Brady threw two touchdown passes to tight end Rob Gronkowski in the win. Brady and Gronkowski have connected on 71 career touchdown passes, the second-most from a quarterback to a tight end in NFL history. Only Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates (85) of the Los Angeles Chargers have more.
While Brady picked up his 24th career win over the Jets — his most over any team other than the Bills (26) — he didn’t display his trademark accuracy and smart decision-making throughout. When the Patriots needed a first down to close out the game in the fourth quarter, Brady & Co. couldn’t deliver.
New York had a chance to tie the game after getting the ball back with 1:53 remaining, but the Patriots’ 32nd-ranked overall defense held on — forcing Josh McCown to throw incomplete on a desperation heave on fourth-and-16 from the Patriots 49, and ending the Jets’ three-game winning streak.
Dion Lewis finished with 52 yards on 11 carries and one touchdown, but the more important number was 29. That was his total offensive snaps played, which was easily a season high and marked the first time he led all Patriots rushers in snaps played in a game.
Expert Predictions for NFL Week 7
But that Patriots number down to 2.5 and take New England at home. The Seahawks will beat the injury-ravaged Giants by a touchdown

A Closer Look At The Highlights Trio Of Top NFL ATS Picks For Week 7
Buffalo at Miami
When: Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: Paul Brown Stadium
NFL Odds: Buffalo -3
Analysis:
The Miami Dolphins may have recorded a shocking 30-15 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, I just don’t see the Fins doing the same to the red-hot Buffalo Bills in their Week 7 AFC East divisional matchup. The Bills won their fourth straight game by man-handling San Francisco 45-16 on Sunday and are playing with a chip on their collective shoulders on both sides of the ball.
Buffalo averages almost eight points per game more than Miami while also giving up nearly five fewer points per contest defensively. More importantly, the Bills know this is a game they cannot afford to lose if they want to get back in the postseason and challenge for a spot in Super Bowl 51. Buffalo is 5-1 SU and ATS in their last six games against Miami and 4-1 ATS in their last five games the Dolphins. Veteran running back LeSean McCoy is hitting his stride and the Bills have the superior playmakers at the skill positions.
My Pick: Buffalo -3 Points
Minnesota -2.5 at Philadelphia
When: Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: Paul Brown Stadium
NFL Odds: Minnesota -3
Analysis:
The Minnesota Vikings are the easy pick to stay unbeaten by taking down a Philadelphia Eagles team that is clearly struggling right now after starting the season off by winning their first three games. Minnesota has been downright scary in limiting their opponents to just 12.6 points per game defensively and should be able to harass Philly’s young signal-caller Carson Wentz into a couple of turnovers, although by now, everyone knows he really special.
Minnesota has won seven of their last eight road games outright and is simply better than Philadelphia in every way right now. I’ve seen absolutely nothing to make me believe the Vikes are losing anytime soon. Back Minnesota to get the outright win and ATS cover.
My Pick: Minnesota -3 Points
Oakland at Jacksonville
When: Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: Paul Brown Stadium
NFL Odds: Jacksonville -1.5
Analysis:
Derek Carr and the Raiders got smacked around in their humbling 26-10 loss to Kansas City on Sunday, but that’s one of the main reasons why I like Oakland to get back in the win column against Jacksonville in Week 7. I know the Jags have won two straight, but both wins came by less than three points and against a pair of mediocre teams in Indianapolis and Chicago.
Jacksonville has the slightly better statistical defense, but Oakland has the more potent offense and the Jags actually allow more points per game than they are averaging this season. The Raiders are 3-0 SU and ATS on the road this season and generally plays a better brand of football on the road than at home. While Carr and company have gone 1-5 ATS in their last six games against Jacksonville, I like the Raiders to bounce back nicely in this affair.
My Pick: Oakland +1.5 Points
NFL Against the Spread Winners For Week 7
Previous Betting News
With the month of July already underway and the 2016 NFL training camps set to begin barely 10 days from now, the stage couldn’t be set any better for us to take a reviewed look at the point spreads. We don’t have a lock for all the best NFL picks in Week 7, but the following teams should be able to offer some solid 2016 winners against the spread.
Indianapolis Colts (-3.5) at Tennessee Titans
Week 7 NFL ATS Pick: Colts (-3.5)
While there is a lot of potential value in Tennessee’s offseason investments, especially in their freakish offensive running game, it is really hard to pick against an Indy team that is impressively 14-1 in its last 15 overall games against the Titans, including a stellar 9-0 record in the last 9 straight meetings and a 6-1 record in the last seven trips to Tennessee. The 3-point spread in this game should thus be cheap fodder for Andrew Luck and his Indianapolis Colts, especially after Indy swept Tennessee last year despite playing most of the season with an injury-bugged squad.
Oakland Raiders at Jacksonville Jaguars (PK)
Week 7 NFL ATS Pick: Raiders (PK)
There hasn’t been much to separate the Raiders and the Jaguars over the past couple of seasons, with both teams owning decent offensive units and questionable defenses. But in the course of this offseason, Oakland has made relatively better changes on both sides of the ball, which should give them some slight edge in this game. Therefore, even with Blake Bortles and Jacksonville playing at home, we believe the online betting value in this game will be with Derek Carr and the Raiders who are in fact 2-0 in their last two straight meetings against Jacksonville.
Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals (-11.5)
Week 7 NFL ATS Pick: Bengals (-11.5)
The Bengals have beaten the Browns by margins of 34 points, 21 points and 30 points in the last three straight meetings, underlining their overwhelming dominance over Cleveland. Having Robert Griffin III in this game will probably allow Cleveland to reduce the damage and keep the scores relatively close, but in the end, Cincinnati’s well-established formula of dominating the Browns should continue as the Bengals blitz past the reconstructing Cleveland team in another emphatic win.
Baltimore Ravens at New York Jets (-4)
Week 7 NFL ATS Pick: Baltimore (+4)
Okay, I agree that the Ravens played like a bunch of sissies last year while the Jets were amongst the most improved teams in the league. Granted, the Ravens have dominated this series and we believe that the history will hold true if Joe Flacco and his teammates can return to their solid footballing ways. With an immaculate 8-0 record since dropping their first meeting against the Jets in 1997, you’d be a fool not to consider the Ravens for the ATS here. Not to mention, NY could be due for some regression due to their tumultuous offseason, making them less competitive and opening a chance for Baltimore to even come out of New York with an outright SU upset.
