Writer’s Breakdown and Pick for the Vikings vs Bears Game

Reasons to bet Minnesota versus Chicago

The Vikings are 8-2 for a reason

Heading into the season, many believed Minnesota would finish last in the division.

But the Vikings had a couple of aces up the sleeve.

Quarterback Sam Darnold has been sensational when piloting the Vikings’ offense.

Defensive coordinator Brian Flores has strategized to perfection.

Both are a big reason why the Vikings are a surprising 8-2.

Minnesota’s D hasn’t allowed more than 13 points in 3 straight

Speaking of Minnesota’s defense, Flores’ unit has held 3  opponents to 13 points or less.

The Colts scored 13 in a 21-13 Minnesota win.

The Jaguars scored 7 in a 12-7 Minny victory.

In their last, the Titans scored 13 in a 23-13 Minnesota win.

Flores’s defense is locking down opposing offenses.

Sam Darnold to Justin Jefferson is one of the NFL’s top QB to WR connections

Darnold to Jefferson has become one of this season’s top quarterback to wide receiver combinations.

Jefferson has 59 catches for 912 yards and 5 touchdowns.

JJ is proving to be one of the leagues’ best wide receivers for sure.

He does much more than catch passes because he acts a decoy and then when defenses shift, Darnold finds his favorite target.

Minnesota Projected Offense Starters

  • QB Sam Darnold

Reasons to Bet Chicago Versus Minnesota

The Bears are a field goal away from upsetting the Green Bay Packers

In the 20-19 loss to the Green Bay Packers, Chicago’s fourth straight defeat, the Bears had their rivals on the ropes.

Chicago required a last second field goal to get the win.

The Packers special teams field goal unit stood high and got a hand on the kick.

If not for the excellent play from the Packers special teams, the Bears would have ended the losing streak.

Caleb Williams has Begun to Pick Up His Game

Williams had struggled during the losing streak.

But in Chicago’s final drive of the game versus Green Bay, the one that put the Bears into a position for a game winning kick, Williams was terrific.

He hit completed pass after pass and showed the decision making skills that led to a Heisman Trophy victory when Williams was at USC.

Having learned from the defeat to the Packers, Williams should have a good game on Sunday against the Vikings.

The Bears Defense has Started to Play Great Football

The Bears defense has stood tall in 3 of the 4 losses.

The Arizona Cardinals scored 29 but AZ was an anomaly.

The Washington Commanders scored 18.

The Patriots scored 19.

The Packers scored 20.

If the offense can do their part, the Bears will have a shot because the defense is going to contain Sam Darnold and Justin Jefferson.

Chicago Projected Offense Starters

  • QB Caleb Williams
  • RB D’Andre Swift
  • WR DJ Moore
  • WR Keenan Allen
  • WR Rome Odunze
  • TE Cole Kmet
  • LT Braxton Jones
  • LG Ryan Bates
  • C  Coleman Shelton
  • RG Matt Pryor
  • RT Darnell Wright

Chicago Defensive Projected Starters

  • LDE Montez Sweat
  • LDT Zacch Pickens
  • RDT Gervon Dexter Sr.
  • RDE DeMarcus Walker
  • WLB T.J. Edwards
  • MLB Tremaine Edmunds
  • SLB Jack Sanborn
  • LCB Jaylon Jackson
  • SS Elijah Hicks
  • FS Kevin Bayard III
  • RCB Tyrique Stevenson

Minnesota at Chicago Final Betting Prediction

This game has the makings of a Chicago Bears upset victory.

The Bears were oh so close to beating the Green Bay Packers in NFL Week 11.

In NFL Week 12, Chicago faces a slightly better team in Minnesota but Caleb Williams may have turned the corner with the last minute drive to put the Bears into position for the win.

For Caleb, it’s all about confidence.

His confidence should be high after the last drive performance versus the Packers.

Also, Chicago’s defense has become a top unit.

Darnold and Jefferson have struggled on the road this season but have somehow managed wins.

The pair won’t on Sunday versus a Bears squad that’s due.

Back Chicago on the moneyline, ATS, and go under the total.

NFL ATS Pick: Chicago +3.5
NFL SU Pick: Under 39.5

Why Bet on Vikings versus Bears

Minnesota has just a single win this season, and it was against the Carolina Panthers, but the Vikings have an excuse. No team has played as tough of an early season schedule as the Vikings.

Tampa Bay, the Los Angeles Chargers, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Kansas City Chiefs are all playoff contenders. The Eagles and Chiefs are 2 of the top 3 favorites to win the Super Bowl.

Minnesota battles Chicago on Sunday, a team that’s much closer to the Carolina Panthers than they are to the Chiefs, the team the Vikings lost to in NFL Week 5.

Why Bet on Bears versus Vikings

Sometimes, a single game is all it takes for a team to turn around their season. The Chicago Bears may have played in that game.

Chicago was a different team in the 40-25 road win over the Washington Commanders. The offense finally clicked and the defense, although it gave up yards and points, played a nice bend but don’t break strategy.

Going back to the offense, Justin Fields was great. Fields completed just 51.7% of his passes, but he didn’t throw a pick, which means he threw away the ball when there was no way of completing it, and Justin threw 4 touchdown passes and for 282 yards. Fields also rushed for 57 yards in the game.

Chicago Bears vs Minnesota Vikings Final Betting Prediction

Brian Flores is a great coach. Miami’s former HC coaches the Minnesota Vikings defense, but as good of a coach as Flores is, his unit will struggle to contain Justin Fields.

Fields found a go to target in wide receiver D.J. Mooney. The former Panther caught 8 passes for 230 yards and scored 3 TDs.

If Flores puts a spy onto Fields, Mooney will again have a massive day. If Brian decides to double Mooney, Justin should run wild. So any way we cut it, the Bears offense has an edge over the Vikings D.

When Minnesota has the ball, Kirk Cousins will struggle to find open receivers. Justin Jefferson is out and Minnesota’s rushing attack is a disaster. The Bears should be the chalk. The current money line odds makes Chicago an overlay.
