With just 20 games remaining in the regular season, teams are jockeying for playoff positioning. Every game is that much more important, and teams are getting their rotations ready for the playoffs. We’ve found a couple of games that have caught our betting eye so you can get ready to bet against the NBA Odds.
Must Bet NBA Games From March 7th to 8th
Monday, March 7th – Houston Rockets @ Miami Heat
The team with the worst record in the NBA will travel to South Beach to take on the top team in the Eastern Conference on Monday, as the Houston Rockets will head to Miami to battle the Heat. Miami has widened its lead in the Eastern Conference over the last few days, as they now hold a three-game lead over the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers.
Houston is in rebuild mode, and this season can’t get over soon enough for them. They have the worst record in the league and are currently on track to have the best chance at earning the first pick in the upcoming draft. The Houston Rockets has lost 12 straight games and is one of the league’s worst defensive squads. Not only do they have the worst record in the league, but they also have the worst road winning percentage.
This game has “blowout” written all over it. The Heat is playing well, has their full arsenal of weapons, and is looking to make a long playoff run. Houston is just playing out the season and knows that they’re running into a very good team. This spread will be fairly large, so take note of that. This could also be a game where the Heat choose to rest some of their top players, so you also need to monitor that situation as well.
We like the Miami Heat in this one unless the spread is just ridiculous. If that’s the case, you may want to give the Rockets a shot.
Tuesday, March 8th – Los Angeles Clippers @ Golden State Warriors
When you just look at this game on paper, you’re probably thinking that the Warriors have a great shot at winning this one. However, they’re on a four-game losing streak, and on Saturday night they blew a lead and lost to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Warriors have also gone 2-8 in their last 10 games. It’s obvious how important that Draymond Green is to the Warriors, and until he comes back, they could continue to struggle.
Tyron Lue has done a great job with this Clippers team. Considering that Kawhi Leonard has been out all season, and Paul George has missed a good portion of the season, this team has overachieved. They’re currently sitting in the eighth position in the Western Conference playoff standings, and have won five straight. They’re on a roll and are looking to get into the top six so that they can avoid the play-in tournament in the Western Conference.
While we figure that the Warriors will be favored in this one, keep a close eye on the spread. If it’s a decent amount, we’d go with the Clippers. The Warriors are struggling, and they haven’t shown that they’re ready to get out of their slump.
