The final NFL Preseason game of 2023 happened on Sunday night with the New Orleans Saints falling to the Houston Texans 13-17.
Did the NFL Preseason yield clues regarding what might happen when the games count?
Check out a list of what to expect when betting NFL Regular Season.
After NFL Preseason Games, What to Expect This Regular Season | MyBookie 2023 Season Preview
NFL Regular Season: September 7, 2023 – January 7, 2024
2023-2024 NFL Regular Season Expectations
Colts QB Anthony Richardson will Be the Most Successful Rookie Quarterback this Season
Anthony Richardson, the third quarterback taken in April’s NFL Draft, was supposed to ride out the 2023 season on the bench behind veteran Gardner Minshew. But the Indianapolis Colts had other ideas.
Richardson showed so much talent during training camp and in preseason games that AR 2.0 got the nod to start before C.J. Stroud in Houston. Anthony won’t disappoint.
We should expect Richardson to have the best season among the rookie first round quarterbacks. The reason? He has a better offensive line than Bryce Young in Carolina. Richardson should be able to lean on a better rushing attack than C.J. Stroud even though Jonathan Taylor won’t play for Indy this season.
Rookie of the Year Pick: Anthony Richardson | Bet Rookie of the Year

Aaron Rodgers to Garrett Wilson will Be the Most Effective QB/WR Combo in the NFL
The word is out on Garrett Wilson. The New York Jets WR1 had a fantastic 2022 season even though he played with quarterbacks that aren’t close to Aaron Rodgers’ level.
Now that four-time MVP Rodgers, the original AR, will be throwing Garrett the ball, some fantasy players are choosing Garrett second behind Justin Jefferson in their drafts. We can’t argue.
In fact, Rodgers to Wilson will be a better QB/WR duo than Minnesota’s Kirk Cousins to Jefferson. Aaron and Wilson toast corners and light up scoreboards all season.

Denver will Win the AFC West Division
This is one of our braver predictions. The Denver Broncos have shown enough during the preseason in a couple of 1 point losses versus the Cardinals and 49ers and a 41-0 pasting of the Rams to have a serious shot at beating the Kansas City Chiefs and winning the AFC West.
Patrick Mahomes must play with Donovan Smith as his left tackle, which isn’t horrible, but not as ideal as Orlando Brown Jr. at left tackle. Also, the Broncos D is better than KC’s defense.
AFC West Pick: Denver | Bet AFC West to Win
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Division
Detroit Lions will have the League’s Top Offense
If you study the Detroit Lions‘ preseason games, you realize that Detroit will not only use Jahmyr Gibbs in the passing attack and to rush the football, but they will also use former Nebraska and Kansas State quarterback Adrian Martinez.
Martinez is a terrific running QB. He can also throw the football and he’s got decent football instincts. So the Lions will play Martinez the way the Saints use to utilize Taysom Hill. Detroit, even without Jameson Williams, will have an excellent offense, one that should post numbers that makes it the top offense in the NFL.

Washington will Challenge for an NFC Playoff Spot
Before the preseason, it was difficult to see the Commanders challenging the Eagles or Cowboys for the NFC East Division. But after the preseason, Washington is one of the season’s top underdog plays to win the NFC.
It all starts with Sam Howell. The former North Carolina quarterback and second year pro knows the game. Howell performed well during the preseason and the rest of the offense appears to be responding to his leadership.
D.C. will have a good rushing attack. Antonio Gibson and Brian Robinson Jr. are great at toting the ball. The defense should be a top five unit. No doubt, Washington has the best defensive line in the NFL. So we should give the Commanders a much better chance to win their division than we did before their first preseason game.
NFC Playoff Pick: Washington | Bet NFC to Win

Jacksonville Finishes the Season with the AFC’s Best Record
The Jaguars went 3-0 during the preseason. Although a great preseason doesn’t translate into a terrific regular season, we can’t look past how well Trevor Lawrence and Calvin Ridley played together.
Ridley had 5 catches for 71 yards. His per catch yardage was over 14. Lawrence went 8-of-10 in the Jaguars’ final preseason game. We know Jacksonville’s defense will be good.
Most believe the Jaguars will challenge Kansas City, Buffalo, Cincinnati, and Denver for the AFC Championship in 2024. But 2023 is shaping up as Jacksonville’s year. Don’t be surprised when the Jaguars start the playoffs as the AFC’s top seed.
AFC Pick: Jacksonville | Bet AFC to Win
