Must Bet Games in Week 8 of the 2022-23 NFL Season
2022 NFL Week 8
- When: Thursday, Oct. 27 – Monday, Oct. 31
Baltimore Ravens at Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Thursday, Oct. 27
NFL Week 8 could be one of the most important of the season. The almost halfway point means both of these teams will have to step it up.
The Buccaneers’ defense is terrific against the rush. So unless Lamar Jackson and the Ravens find a passing attack on par with what Tampa has, the Bucs should prevail SU and ATS.
NFL Week 8 Pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Denver Broncos at Jacksonville Jaguars | Sunday, Oct. 30
- Wembley Stadium, London – 9:30 am ET
If the Jaguars have a winning record, Wembley Stadium will be rocking. But even though Jacksonville projects as a much better squad than they were last season, they have no shot of winning this.
Russell Wilson will pick apart the Jaguars’ secondary. The former Seattle signal-caller has a fast trigger, which means Jacksonville’s pass rush won’t get to Wilson before he can toss to one of his many receivers.
NFL Week 8 Pick: Denver Broncos
Las Vegas Raiders at New Orleans Saints | Sunday, Oct. 30
Talk about a toss-up. The Saints and Raiders are similar. Las Vegas’ passing attack should be slightly better this season because of Davante Adams, but the Saints have the better defense.
Because this happens in the Dome, New Orleans prevails. Give the Saints the edge.
NFL Week 8 Pick: New Orleans Saints
San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Rams | Sunday, Oct. 30
The Rams don’t always protect home field. This could be especially true in 2022 because quarterback Matthew Stafford is a year older and teams will have adjusted to his reliance on wide receiver Cooper Kupp.
If Trey Lance is the new Patrick Mahomes, and there’s a chance he could be, the 49ers will be the best team in the NFL. The rest of the Niners’ roster is loaded. Give SF a shot at the moneyline victory.
NFL Week 8 Pick: San Francisco 49ers
Green Bay Packers at Buffalo Bills | Sunday, Oct. 30
It’s going to be tough to beat the Bills no matter where opponents play them. Green Bay is a quality squad, though.
It’s difficult to find games this season where we can bet against Buffalo on the moneyline knowing we’re going to get a fair price. This game should yield an excellent payout on the Packers. Green Bay isn’t guaranteed to win, but they will be worth backing at what should be healthy straight up odds.
NFL Week 8 Pick: Green Bay Packers
Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns | Monday, Oct. 31
It may not matter if Deshaun Watson plays or not. The Browns’ starting quarterback has missed so much time that he will struggle against a very good Cincinnati Bengals’ defense.
Defensive ends Sam Hubbard and Trey Hendrickson make for one of the best duos in the NFL. Vonn Bell remains one of the league’s top strong safeties. Burrow and the offense require no mentioning because we know they’re good. Bengals prevail straight up and against the spread.
NFL Week 8 Pick: Cincinnati Bengals
