Betting the Super Bowl Right Away

The Philadelphia Eagles dominated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59.

It’s the next day, which means it’s time for us to turn our attention to Super Bowl 60.

Which teams are the ones that have already attracted money to win the 2026 Lombardi Trophy game?

Check out Super Bowl odds, analysis, and picks for next season’s NFL Championship game.

Super Bowl 59 Recap

We can sum up the Super Bowl 59 with two words.

Okay, three.

Jalen Hurts and defense.

Hurts dominated the KC defense through the air and on the ground.

The Philly D destroyed the KC offensive line on their way to making Patrick Mahomes look like a rookie.

The Eagles easily beat the Chiefs to win their second Super Bowl in franchise history. (Remember to check out the Super Bowl Champions.)

Writer’s Picks for the Early Betting to Lock Super Bowl Line

Why Talk About Super Bowl LX the Day after the 2025 Super Bowl?

Neither the NFL Draft nor NFL Free Agency has yet to happen.

Heck, the New Orleans Saints don’t even have a football coach at the time of this writing.

So why are we talking Super Bowl LX the day after the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs?

Super Bowl odds. It’s as simple as that.

If we want the best odds possible, we have to place our bets early, which is why before the dust has settled in the Superdome, we’re heading right to next year’s Lombardi Trophy game where the Chiefs and Eagles were the early favorites before Super Bowl 59 kickoff.

Check out a run down of the Top 5 teams along with an odds analysis and a list of NFL offseason bets to make.

Top 5 Teams with Odds to Win Super Bowl 2026 and Why

Kansas City Chiefs TBD

The Kansas City Chiefs got a gift from the NFL schedulers.

For sure, KC has some changes in store but it won’t matter.

The Chiefs play the NFC East, where only the Eagles will challenge KC, and the lowly AFC South where the Texans, Jags, Colts, and Titans my lose to Kansas City by a combined score of 96 to 9.

Sure, the games will be tighter than that but KC has no business losing to any of those teams.

Also, the Bolts and Raiders aren’t quite there yet.

So KC haters will be counting on Sean Payton’s Broncos to upset Mahomes and Co. in the AFC West.

Because of the blowout Super Bowl loss to Philly, the Chiefs could offer decent odds.

Those 2026 Super Bowl odds are almost certain to be fair.

Fair SB Odds: Yes

Baltimore Ravens +700

In the playoffs, unless you’ve suffered injuries like the Detroit Lions did this past season, it’s all about homefield advantage. (Checking out Every Team Hisotry Postseason)

Because that’s a fact, the Baltimore Ravens will struggle to gain homefield advantage in 2025-2026.

Heck, the Ravens might struggle to make the playoffs.

Yes, the schedule is that difficult.

Not only must Baltimore play the Steelers and Bengals twice but KC, Baltimore, Detroit, the Rams, and the Vikings are on the schedule.

Baltimore’s sched is loaded with quality squads.

A return trip to the playoffs is not a sure thing.

Fair SB Odds: No

Philadelphia Eagles TBD

The defending champs are in for a tough regular season.

Philadelphia is too good not to make the playoffs but homefield could be a longshot.

The Eagles must travel to Buffalo, Kansas City, Lambeau to take on the Packers, to SoFi to battle the Chargers, and to Minnesota.

The Lions are also on the schedule.

So are the Commanders twice, like every season, the rising Denver Broncos, the Rams and Tampa Bay.

If the odds are at +600 or less, which is a possibility, the answer to whether or not the Eagles offer fair odds is no.

Fair SB Odds: No

Buffalo Bills +800

The Bills are in line for homefield throughout the playoffs.

If Buffalo can beat Kanas City, the game happens at Orchard Park, the Bills should eke out the best schedule in the AFC.

The reason? Buffalo takes on the lowly AFC South where the Bucs, Falcons, Saints, and Panthers reside.

That should be four wins.

The Bills should also run the table in the AFC East, their division.

Beating the Eagles and Bengals won’t be easy but those two games are also at Highmark Stadium.

If you want to place money on a team to win the Super Bowl today and before the NFL Draft and free agency, the Bills are a solid option.

Fair SB Odds: Yes

Detroit Lions +900

Detroit must suffer this upcoming season because of the success they had this past season.

The Lions travel to Kansas City, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Washington.

Those four brutal matchups are in addition to battling the Vikings, Packers, and what should be an improved Bears squad twice this season.

Pittsburgh and Tampa are also on the schedule.

The Lions are going to have to work extra hard to get homefield throughout the playoffs in 2025-2026.

Don’t hold your breath that they do it.

Fair SB Odds: No

NFL Futures to Bet During the Offseason

NFL Draft Bets

NFL Draft odds are out.

Cameron Ward is the top betting choice at +100 to be the first player selected followed by Travis Hunter at +200 and Penn State defensive end Abdul Carter at +240.

Shedeur Sanders at +800, like what I wrote in an article a few weeks ago, is the play to make if you’re looking for value.

Betting NFL Draft Odds

Super Bowl LX

It’s not too early to back next year’s Super Bowl winner.

Like what I wrote above, back the Bills based on their cupcake schedule if you’re looking for the best value play.

Stay away from the Eagles, Ravens, and Lions.

Betting Super Bowl Odds

NFL Conference Winners

NFL Conference odds will land in a few days.

Once they do, backing the Bills or Broncos in the AFC will be decent bets.

Backing any other team in the NFC save for the Eagles and Lions should provide value.

Betting AFC Conference Odds | Betting NFC Conference Odds

NFL Division Winners

Picking NFL Division winners during the offseason can lead to massive profit.

Wait for the NFL Draft in April before choosing a winner.

Consider backing the underdog Broncos to take the next step and upset the Chiefs.

Also, think about backing the Saints to beat the Bucs, Falcons, and Panthers in the AFC South if Kellen Moore does take the job.

The Lions could lose the NFC North.

So consider Packers or Vikings if either or both teams make winning moves.

Betting AFC Divisions Odds | Betting NFC Divisions Odds

NFL MVP

Lamar Jackson should be the favorite and might be the pick depending on the odds.

Jackson probably should have won the award this season since he’s the first quarterback to have thrown for over 4,000 yards and rush for over 900 in a single season.

No offense to Josh Allen but Lamar was unreal.

Then again, JA beat Lamar in the head-to-head in the playoffs.

That does count for something.

Allen won’t repeat.

Mahomes almost never has a great regular season, preferring instead to play his best in the postseason.

Jalen Hurts is a possibility but there will be a timeshare for carries like what Jalen and Saquon Barkley did this past season.

What are the Super Bowl Futures? Let’s Find Out

Super Bowl Futures are a type of bet placed on the outcome of the Super Bowl, typically made well in advance of the actual event. These bets allow bettors to wager on various aspects related to the Super Bowl, such as which team will win the championship, before the season even begins or throughout the regular season.

These types of bets are usually available after the conclusion of the previous Super Bowl, and they often fluctuate as the season progresses.

Here are some of the most common Super Bowl futures you might encounter:

  1. Super Bowl Winner:
The most popular Super Bowl futures bet is wagering on which team will win the Super Bowl at the end of the season.
The odds will shift as teams perform during the season and as key players are added or injured.

  2. AFC/NFC Champion:
Bettors can also place futures bets on which team will win the AFC or NFC conference, which will secure their spot in the Super Bowl.

  3. Over/Under on Wins:
Some sportsbooks offer an over/under bet on how many games a team will win during the regular season.
This can give an idea of how likely a team is to make the playoffs, and thus how likely they are to reach the Super Bowl.

  4. Player Futures:
You can also bet on individual player performances that could impact the Super Bowl, such as MVP or Offensive/Defensive Player of the Year.

  5. Division Winners:
Another common future bet is on which team will win their division, often a precursor to their potential Super Bowl run.

Why Bet on Super Bowl Futures?
  • Early Value:
Futures bets often offer more favorable odds early in the season before the betting public has had a chance to react to every development.
  • Strategic Betting:
Smart bettors can make predictions based on off-season moves, like trades and drafts, or simply on gut feelings about a team’s chances.

If you’re looking to place an early bet, Super Bowl futures can offer an exciting way to get involved in NFL betting and lock in your prediction for the biggest game of the year!

Super Bowl Showdown: Kansas City Chiefs (15-2) at Philadelphia Eagles (14-3)
Monday, January 13th, 2025 at 6:30 PM EST FOX | Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, LA

Money line Odds: Chiefs -133 / Eagles +105
Over/Under Odds: 49.5

Writer’s Pick for the Next Super Bowl Game: Chiefs vs Eagles Game

Super Bowl Bet Types

Straight Bet Super Bowl LXI ML Odds

  • Kansas City -132
  • Philadelphia +112

Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs to another Super Bowl.

This time, Mahomes was brilliant by making the correct pass on almost every play.

He also rushed for a lot of yards, which is why the Chiefs are in position to win a third straight Lombardi.

Mahomes’s ability to beat a Bills’ defense that has stopped the Chiefs’ undefeated season quest in the rematch impressed oddsmakers.

The fact KC is the favorite after starting the day second choice behind Philadelphia to win the Super Bowl speaks volumes.

Super Bowl 59 ATS Odds

  • Kansas City -1.5
  • Philadelphia +1.5

The odds suggest a close game.

Both teams should be one-hundred percent healthy heading into the matchup.

The key for Philadelphia will be to stop the Chiefs’ rushing attack, which has found new life since resigning former KC player Kareem Hunt.

Philadelphia will lean on Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley.

The 55 the Eagles scored against Washington was due to the Commanders’ inability to stop the rush.

The rush set up Hurts and the Eagles passing game on Sunday.

KC won’t give up 55 points.

The KC defense does very well, which is why the odds slightly favor the Chiefs.

Over/Under Super Bowl LIX Total

  • Over 49.5 -105
  • Under 49.5 -115

Both teams can up points. The thinking here from oddsmakers is that the Eagles will throw caution to the wind and try to outscore Mahomes and the Chiefs in this game.

But if Hurts and his buds play fast, Mahomes and Andy Reid may slow the game down on their end to limit the Eagles possessions.

The total in Super Bowl LIX has the most potential to make a dramatic change.

We shouldn’t see much change on the spread line because neither team will attract enough on either side to dramatically change the odds.

But the over could fall by a lot if a key player, Xavier Worthy, Travis Kelce or Mahomes for the Chiefs, or Hurts, Saquon Barkley, or A.J. Brown for the Eagles, goes into the matchup injured.

Also, if neither offensive line is one hundred percent, the total should fall.

Parlay Bet Super Bowl Odds

+260 if you bet a parlay with the over/under total and the ATS.

For example if you decided to bet the Eagles at +1.5 to Over 49.5, the payout will be $260 for every $100 bet.

If you back the Eagles on the moneyline to over 49.5, the odds will be higher.

$272 is the likely payout for Philly to beat Kansas City and for the teams to combine for more than 50 points.

It’s not possible to put a moneyline and spread line on the same team into a single parlay, which means based on early Super Bowl odds, we can only bet on a 2-team parlay.

Teaser Bet Super Bowl Odds

Teaser bets have yet to come out. It will be impossible to bet a traditional teaser because any teasers demand at least four betting options.

There could be special teasers where we are allowed to place a teaser bet on the ATS or moneyline, over/under and prop bets like Super Bowl MVP.

Whether we can bet a teaser that mixes props and traditional bets is up to MyBookie.

If a teaser bet does exist, specific props, like Super Bowl MVP, will be allowed to be a part of the teaser.

Buying Super Bowl Points – Super Bowl 59 Alternate Lines

It’s likely the sportsbook won’t allow us to buy points the old fashioned way.

Instead, the book will set alternate lines.

We’re still buying points but the alternate lines gives the sportsbook control over how many points we can buy and the payout on those points.

For example, if you believes the Eagles win by at least 6, the payout on Philadelphia to beat the Chiefs by at least 6 is likely to be at least +300.

I’m being conservative because the Eagles are -1.5 dogs.

So the payout could be up to +350 on a Philly -6 alternate spread line.

If you have a clear idea of who will win and by how many points, betting an alternate Super Bowl line is the way to go.

In conclusion, the payouts are tremendous and you mustn’t bet a lot to profit big time.
