In Depth Analysis On The Trio Of NFL Parlay Picks Highlighted For The Weekend

Cleveland at Cincinnati

When: Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: Paul Brown Stadium
NFL Odds: Cincinnati -9.5

Analysis: The Cincinnati Bengals haven’t looked like legitimate Super Bowl contenders in getting spanked by Dallas and New England in their last two games, but I’m expecting Andy Dalton and company to take all of their frustrations out on the overmatched Cleveland Browns when the two AFC North division rivals square off on Sunday.

While the Browns hold a shocking edge in scoring, the Bengals are the better defensive team and really, the better offensive team, although you wouldn’t know it the last couple of weeks. Cincinnati has won seven of the last 10 meetings against Cleveland and each of the last three meetings by 21 points or more. Forget all of the ATS trends surrounding this affair, and simply back the desperate Bengals to get it done!

My Pick: Cincinnati -9 Points

Tampa Bay at San Francisco

When: Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 4:05 PM ET
Where: Levi’s Stadium
NFL Odds: San Francisco +2

Analysis: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-3 SU, 2-3 ATS) managed to beat Carolina last Monday to snap a three-game skid, but I’m going with Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers (1-5 SU, 1-5 ATS) to get the home win out of sheer desperation. While the Niners have lost five straight games since pounding the Rams in their opener, the fact of the matter is that the Bucs really haven’t been much better in averaging three fewer points per game offensively than Tampa Bay and just two fewer points per game defensively.

Tampa Bay is 1-4 ATS in their last five meetings against the Niners and while Tampa Bay has the best quarterback in this contest, I’m actually going to say that Chip Kelly has the edge in coaching over counterpart Dirk Koetter and that, combined with the fact that they’re utterly desperate and playing at home – will be enough for the Niners to get the outright win at home.

Pick: San Francisco +2 Points

San Diego at Atlanta

When: Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 4:05 PM ET
NFL Odds: Atlanta -6.5

Analysis: I don’t think there’s any doubt right now that the Atlanta Falcons are the better team in this Week 7 matchup against San Diego, but still, something tells me the Bolts are primed for the outright upset against Atlanta – or at least a fantastic performance in which they cover the NFL betting line. The Chargers can score the ball with any team in the league as they rank third in scoring (28.8 ppg) just two spots behind the league-leading Falcons (33.1 ppg). Not only that, but the Bolts are giving up almost two fewer points per game than the ‘Dirty Birds’ and have compiled a blistering 8-2 ATS m ark over the last 10 games.

While Matt Ryan and Julio Jones are an absolute beastly pair that got robbed against Seattle this past weekend on the game’s final play, Atlanta is just 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games. With Philip Rivers and the Chargers going 8-1 ATS in their last nine road games, I can honestly say, I smell an upset brewing.

Pick: San Diego +6.5 Points
