To say that Week 1 of the new NFL season was wild is perhaps putting things a little mildly.
We had the Patriots springing a massive upset with a road win over the Cincinnati Bengals, the Super Bowl champs opening with a thrilling win in the season opener, and a starting QB going down with an injury that might keep him out for a month or more.
My NFL Betting Analysis
Of course, one week does not make a season, so there is certainly plenty of time for things to course correct and for those that lost to get back on track.
We are already looking ahead to Week 2 of the season, looking for the games that jump off the page when scouring the schedule.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at some games we consider to be of the must bet variety.
^Buffalo Bills +107 at Miami Dolphins -127 TNF
When: Thursday, September 12, 8:15 PM, Prime Video
Where: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL
The first 2 Thursday night games of the season are the definition of primetime.
We had the Chiefs and Ravens battling it out in Week 1, and this Thursday we have an awesome divisional battle, with the Bills hitting the road to face the Dolphins.
Buffalo had to come from behind to pick up a shootout win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1, while the Dolphins very much looked like one of the elite teams in the league with their Week 1 win.
The Dolphins are a modest 1 ½ point favorite, with the total set at 49.
^New Orleans Saints +226 at Dallas Cowboys -290
When: Sunday, September 15, 1:00 PM, FOX
Where: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX
This is going to be interesting to watch, if only to figure out if the New Orleans Saints are as good as they looked in Week 1, where they absolutely destroyed the Carolina Panthers.
To be fair, we all expected the Panthers to be pretty bad this season, so this will certainly be more of a measuring stick for the Saints.
The Cowboys signed Dak Prescott to a massive extension prior to their Week 1 game and were rewarded with a big victory over the Cleveland Browns.
Dallas is a 6 ½ point home favorite, with the total set at 46.
^Tampa Bay Buccaneers +246 at Detroit Lions -319
When: Sunday, September 15, 1:00 PM, FOX
Where: Ford Field, Detroit, MI
It was always going to be tough for the Buccaneers to replace Tom Brady, but you have to say that Baker Mayfield is settling in nicely and was one of the better QBs in Week 1.
He led the Bucs to an impressive 37-20 win over the Washington Commanders, but this is going to be a much tougher test.
A lot of people are looking at the Lions as potential champions this season, and they showed some grit in Week 1 with an OT win over the LA Rams.
The Lions are favored by 7 points, with the total set at 51.
^Cincinnati Bengals +198 at Kansas City Chiefs -250
When: Sunday, September 15, 4:25 PM, CBS
Where: GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO
This is one that jumped off the page when the schedule was first released, but you have to wonder if it looks glamorous after Week 1.
The Bengals did not look very good in a loss to the Patriots, but we are still waiting to see if this is a sign of things to come or just a single game anomaly.
It certainly doesn’t get any easier for the Bengals, as they have to go on the road to face a Chiefs team that looked explosively good against the Ravens.
The Chiefs are favored by 6, with the total set at 48 ½.
^Will Joe Burrow's success vs. Chiefs continue in #NFL Week 2?

"I'm sure we'll need the Bengals. But I do think there will be some customers who like the history of Burrow against Kansas City."

2023 NFL Week 2 Must Bet Games
The NFL schedule is not too far off in the future. With the league releasing the schedule, eager football fans can now have an idea of where their favorite teams will be this fall. When it comes to trying to figure out which teams will be good, there will be a lot of twists and turns along the way.
See below for NFL betting odds and analysis for all the games happening on Week 2 of the 2023 season.
NFL Week 2 Must Bet Games | MyBookie NFL Preview
NFL Week 2: September 14-18, 2023
Green Bay Packers At Atlanta Falcons
NFL Odds: Packers +2, Falcons -2
When: Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, GA
The Green Bay Packers will have an issue adjusting to life without Rodgers. However, Jordan Love has served as an understudy for the past few seasons and will now have a chance to prove himself. Green Bay, however, still has a solid defense.
The Atlanta Falcons still have questions at quarterback. Atlanta drafted Desmond Ridder last season, but he didn’t see too much time as a rookie. The Falcons’ success this season may hinge on how Rider plays this season. Green Bay will be further along with Love than the Falcons are with Ridder and grab an early-season road win.

Seattle Seahawks at Detroit Lions
NFL Odds: Seahawks -2.5, Lions -2.5
When: Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: Ford Field, Detroit, MI
Geno Smith was one of the best stories in football last season. Smith took over as the Seattle quarterback last season and guided the Seattle Seahawks to a 9-8 record, a surprising playoff appearance where he threw for a career-high 4,282 yards and 30 touchdowns. Repeating that process is going to be difficult.
Detroit showed potential last season and had an explosive offense. If the Detroit Lions can keep up their pace from last season, they may challenge for a playoff spot. This is a key spot for both teams and will be a good measuring stick for how well each side approved.

Kansas City Chiefs at Jacksonville Jaguars
NFL Odds: Chiefs -3.5, Jaguars -3.5
When: Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: TIAA Bank Field, Jacksonville, FL
Things in the series between the Kansas City Chiefs and Jaguars have gone as you may expect. Jacksonville, which has been rebuilding for a long time, has lost seven straight games to Kansas City. The Jacksonville Jaguars last beat Kansas City, which leads the all-time series 9-6, in 2009.
Last season in the playoffs, Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars gave the Chiefs a battle. While Patrick Mahomes was slowed by an ankle injury, Jacksonville did find ways to give Kansas City issues. While Jacksonville may not win this game, the Jaguars will find a way to cover the spread.

New York Jets at Dallas Cowboys
NFL Odds: Jets +2.5, Cowboys -2.5
When: Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 4:25 pm ET
Where: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX
The Dallas Cowboys won a playoff game last season and will return Dak Prescott as quarterback. Dallas also has plenty of rising stars on defense. With Micah Parsons leading the pass rush, the Cowboys will be tough to contend with on defense.
The New York Jets are in the middle of a big gamble. New York acquired quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the offseason and there will likely be an adjustment period. The Jets now have high expectations and will need Rodgers to get acclimated quickly. Dallas will catch New York early in the season.
