NFL Week 9 Lines & Betting Picks: Teams to Certainly Win their Game

Week Nine is almost here, and we have officially approached the halfway point in the season.

There are plenty of interesting Week Nine matchups, and with the season halfway over, we have a great look at where teams stand and how they will approach the rest of the season moving forward. Injuries are beginning to mount, and teams are starting to separate themselves from the rest of the pack. Which teams will be winners this week? Let’s take a look and give you the best picks for Week Nine so you can bet against the NFL Lines.

Who Are the Sure Winners in Week 9 of NFL Action?

Philadelphia Eagles (-13) vs Houston Texans

Will the Eagles ever lose again? Philadelphia makes the list this week, and they might be the biggest virtual lock to win of the season. The Eagles remained undefeated after completely dismantling the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week Eight 35-13.

The offense remains a top-five unit in the league, and they run the ball relentlessly, posting almost 150 yards per game. Against the Steelers, however, it was Jalen Hurts’ arm that did all the damage as the second-year quarterback tossed four touchdowns in the win.

The biggest surprise for the Eagles is that their defense also boasts a top-five unit in the league. Not only did Philadelphia’s defensive unit record six sacks and two turnovers, but they also recorded their league-leading 10th interception and 16th turnover of the year.

The Houston Texans are just not playing good football. Last week they managed just 161 yards against the Tennessee Titans despite playing at home.

It’s clear the Texans have major holes on both offense and defense, but the bottom line is that they have just one win, and they are at the bottom of the AFC. It should be another uninteresting Thursday Night Football game, with the Philadelphia Eagles walking away as winners.

Tennessee Titans vs Kansas City Chiefs (-11)

The Tennessee Titans are on a roll and have won five straight games. Be that as it may, the problem is they played five awful teams.

Not only could they be without their starting quarterback, but they have to play another road game at one of the loudest stadiums in the league against arguably the AFC’s top team, which is coming off a bye week.

The Chiefs will be the healthiest they have been all season. Kansas City is playing great football, winning three of their last four games while averaging 33.8 points per game over that span.

Tennessee has a stiff defense, but the Chiefs played the league’s third-ranked defense in Week Seven and absolutely dominated the 49ers posting 44 points. Even if the Chiefs struggle against Tennessee, the Titans’ offense isn’t strong enough to overtake Kansas City on the road.

The Titans will surely look to run, but that plays perfectly into the hand of Kansas City, which owns a third-ranked rushing defense. Andy Reid’s squad should have no trouble putting Tennessee back in its place in Week Nine.

New England Patriots (-6.5) vs Indianapolis Colts

The Patriots make the list this week after getting back on track and defeating the New York Jets in a crucial AFC East game to improve their record to 4-4 one week after a humiliating primetime loss to Chicago.

Despite their struggles last week, the Patriots continued their torrid four-game stretch where they have averaged 25.8 points per game while conceding just 16.3 points.

The Patriots will have plenty of things going for them in Week Nine. Mac Jones is back at quarterback, and he was able to get the Patriots back in the win column. The defensive unit for New England is playing incredibly well.

They picked off Zach Wilson three times and have given up 17 points or fewer in three of their last four contests. Additionally, the Patriots will have a home matchup, and they will play a team that is starting a new inexperienced quarterback.

The Colts‘ Sam Ehlinger era is off to a shaky start, and the Colts have found themselves down in the AFC South and on a two-game losing skid.

To make matters worse, star running back Jonathan Taylor was forced to exit Week Eight’s matchup against the Commanders early. It is not looking good for the Colts, making the New England Patriots likely winners in Week Nine.
