As we’re not quite through a third of the NBA season, we’re starting to see what teams are going to be contenders and which ones are pretenders. In looking at this week’s slate of games, we’ve found a couple of games that have caught our attention.
Here are a couple of games that, if you plan on betting, you may want to take a look at.
This week’s top NBA games
Sacramento Kings @ Milwaukee Bucks – Wednesday, November 7th
The Sacramento Kings have been one of the biggest surprises in the league this season. The Kings are the second-highest scoring team in the league, just behind the Boston Celtics. They’re averaging nearly 120 points per game. On the flip side of that, they’re also one of the worst defensive NBA teams in the league, giving up over 115 points per game.
Their opponent on Wednesday night will be the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks are currently in second place in the Eastern Conference behind the Boston Celtics. The Bucks are now back to full strength, as Khris Middleton returned from injury last week.
The Bucks will have their hands full with the Sacramento offense, but the Bucks are one of the top defensive teams in the NBA. They’re allowing 108 points per game.
This one is going to be a fun one to watch, and it should be very high scoring. The Kings will have a hard time stopping Milwaukee’s Big 3 of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Middleton, and Jrue Holiday. Milwaukee will have to contend with De’Aaron Fox, Keegan Murray, and Domantas Sabonis.
The Bucks are 11-3 at home, while the Kings are 5-5 on the road. The Kings have managed to win seven of their last 10 heading into Monday’s action. We’re figuring that the Bucks will be favored, and as long as the spread isn’t too large, that’s who we’d take.
We also think that there is going to be a lot of offense in this one, so monitor the over/under number, and if it’s to your liking, we’d go with the over.
Boston Celtics @ Phoenix Suns – Wednesday, November 7th
The top two teams will collide in the Valley of the Sun on Wednesday night. The Suns currently sit atop the Western Conference, while the Celtics have the best record in the league and lead the Eastern Conference. The Suns are picking up right where they left off last NBA season. After a disappointing blowout loss to the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals, the Suns are looking to get to the Finals this season. Boston made it to the Finals last season but couldn’t stop the Warriors.
The Celtics are the highest-scoring team in the league, while the Suns have one of the top defenses in the NBA, so this should be a fun matchup.
Jayson Tatum and Jalen Brown are the top-scoring duo in the league. Phoenix will have to contend with them and will also have to figure out a way to slow down Boston’s guards as well. We should see a lot of points scored on Wednesday night.
We figure that the Suns will be a slight favorite since this one is being played on their home floor. We actually like the Suns to win this one as well. As long as you like the spread, take Phoenix.
