NBA Breaking News & Rumors For January 31th

As we already mentioned, not all trade rumors are particularly valid and are little more than speculation. Trae Crowder moving to the Milwaukee Bucks is not one that fits into that category, though. Crowder has not played for the Phoenix Suns this season, apparently unhappy with a potential diminished role, and it now seems that the Suns are willing to move him on. Despite interest from other teams, the Suns have granted permission to the Bucks to talk to Crowder, so this looks like a move that might well happen. Let’s take a look at this analysis for your NBA bets.

Jerami Grant Turns Down Contract Extension

Kyrie Irving is one of the most divisive players in the NBA, but you also cannot deny that he is among the most talented. Teams are willing to put up with his baggage to get what he brings to the court, and while the Nets have claimed that they want to keep Irving in the fold, they are also in no rush to make a new deal. While Irving will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, his camp is saying that his priority is to stay in Brooklyn. That is a change in tune from his desire to leave earlier this season, but his willingness to stay and make a deal may be due to the limited interest that came back then.

Turner Staying in Indiana

One player that looked destined to be on the move was Myles Turner of the Indiana Pacers. There were several reports linking him with a move to the LA Lakers, with several other teams monitoring the situation. The Pacers wanted to keep him, though, and signed him to a 2-year contract extension this past weekend. The 2-year deal is worth $58 million and perhaps comes as a little bit of a surprise given that the Pacers have had no issues moving other players on, Turner is having an excellent season and the Pacers must have realized that replacing him would be tough.
