We are still some time away from the start of the NBA Finals, but we do already know one of the teams that will be taking part. The Denver Nuggets have punched their ticket into the Finals and are now just waiting to see who they will face. There was a chance that the championship series might have been set last night, but the Boston Celtics staved off elimination with a much-needed win over the Miami Heat. We will get into those two teams in a moment and see how they might do against the Nuggets, but before we get into that, let’s take a look at how Denver got to the NBA Finals with the NBA betting analysis.
NBA Championship: Will the Denver Nuggets Win the NBA Finals?
The Nuggets Path to the NBA Finals
The Nuggets opened their postseason with an opening round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. They won the opening 3 games in that one before losing on the road in Game 5. They closed things out at home, taking the series in 5 games.
The second round looked to be a more difficult proposition, but the Nuggets jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead over the Suns, winning both their home games, before losing back-to-back games in Phoenix. That was as close as things would get, with Denver winning the final 2 games in the series.
The Western Conference Final proved to be a bit of a no contest, with the Nuggets sweeping LeBron and the Lakers in 4 games. What all of that means is that the Nuggets have yet to lose a game at home this postseason, which sets them in very good stead for the Finals if it is the Heat who end up advancing.

How The Nuggets Fare Against Their Potential Opponents
While the Nuggets wait to see who they will face in the NBA Finals, we can take a moment to try and figure out how things might play out for them in each scenario. Before we get into that, let’s take a look at how Denver did versus teams from the Eastern Conference in the regular season. They went 19-11 against the East, which is not as good as what their potential opponents did in games against the West. The Celtics were 23-7 versus the Western Conference, while the Heat went 20-10.
Right now, the Miami Heat has a 3-1 series lead over the Celtics and look the most likely to advance. They faced the Nuggets twice in the regular season, losing both games, although both were close. The Nuggets won 112-108 and 124-119, respectively.
Their regular season series against the Celtics went differently, with both teams picking up blowout wins to split the series. It already seems obvious that the Celtics would be the tougher opponent of the two, and their regular season meetings seem to prove that. This is especially true when you consider that the Celtics would have home court advantage in the Finals.

Will The Nuggets Win It All?
Right now, the Denver Nuggets are in as the favorite at odds of -210, although it will be interesting to see how those odds change if the Celtics can do the improbable and come from 0-3 down to win the East. I would probably get my money on the Nuggets now, as I think they will go on to win it all.
