The Kings shot 12 for 18 (67%) in the fourth quarter, while the Hawks were limited to 7 for 26 (27%). The Hawks did not score in the final 4:45 and missed their final eight shots. The Kings have lost the past two at home in the series.
Why Bet on Atlanta Hawks?
The Hawks (18-24) had a three-game winning streak snapped Saturday in a 116-95 loss in Cleveland and lost All-Star guard Trae Young during the game to a concussion. He was hurt with 8:43 remaining after taking a charge from the Cavaliers’ Isaac Okoro and getting hit in the face by an inadvertent elbow. Young stayed on the court for a few minutes, walked back to the locker room and did not return.

There is no timetable for Young’s return. He must go through the league’s concussion protocol to ensure he is symptom-free before resuming basketball activities. Young isn’t traveling with Atlanta for the start of its two-game road trip, putting him in jeopardy of missing Wednesday’s game at Golden State as well. Young is averaging 26.9 points and 10.8 assists and has 5+ assists in every regular season game (146 games, sixth-longest such streak in NBA history). He is four games shy of tying Russell Westbrook (150) for the fifth-longest such streak in NBA history.
Dejounte Murray provided 24 points, nine rebounds and five assists in the loss. In four games last week, he averaged 21.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.3 steals in 35.8 minutes of play. Murray was one of only six players in the NBA this past week to average at least 20.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.0 steal and one of only three Eastern Conference players to post those numbers, joining Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Murray also had two game-winning buckets last week. With Young out, Murray could take over as starting point guard. In three games without Young this season, Murray has averaged 24.7 points, 10.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game.
Jalen Johnson is coming off his sixth career 20+ point outing (all this season), finishing with 20 points on 8-16 shooting from the field, seven rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks in 34 minutes of action against the Cavaliers. In the first game against Sacramento this season, Johnson grabbed 15 rebounds, to go along with 16 points, four assists and one block in 35 minutes of action. The third-year forward is the only player in the East, and one of only two players in the NBA (Nikola Jokic), averaging at least 15.0 points and 8.0 rebounds on .550 FG%/.350 3FG%/.750 FT% shooting splits.
Bogdan Bogdanovic enters Monday’s game having made at least one three-pointer in 51 straight regular season games, tied with Kyle Korver for the second-longest such streak in franchise history, and the second-longest active streak in the NBA: Damian Lillard (117), Bogdan Bogdanovic (51), Lauri Markkanen (42). Bogdanovic has connected on 123 total three-pointers, tied for the eighth-most triples by any player in the NBA. He might start in place of Young.
Clint Capela enters Monday with 399 career steals, one shy of his 400th career theft. Capela is on pace to become the 10th active player in the NBA with over 7,000 career points, 6,000 career rebounds, 800 career blocks, 500 career assists and 400 career steals.

Why Bet on Sacramento Kings?
The Kings lost their fourth game in a row Thursday, 126-121, so the mini-break likely came at a good time. That Pacers loss really was unexpected considering Indiana was without star Tyrese Haliburton due to injury and without former All-Star forward Pascal Siakam as he had yet to join the team after his trade from Toronto.

The Pacers led 122-106 with 2:20 remaining, but the Kings staged a furious 15-2 run to climb within three with 32 seconds left. De’Aaron Fox missed a potential tying 3 with seven seconds remaining. Following an offensive rebound, Malik Monk was fouled and missed both free throws.
“A loss like this, it should sting,” Kings coach Mike Brown said. “I know that we can be a better defensive team than what we are. So it has to start there because at the end of the day, we’re going to figure out a way to score. We’ve just got to figure out a way to slow some of these teams down.”
Kevin Huerter had a career-high 31 points in the loss. Huerter was red-hot from behind the arc Thursday, knocking down a season-high seven triples. Keegan Murray had 27 points and nine boards to fall just shy of a double-double. He has recorded 25-plus points on seven occasions during the season and is shooting a collective 64.6 percent from the field in those outings.
Fox shot 8-of-20 from the field and 5-of-9 from the foul line in the loss for 24 points with six rebounds and six assists. Fox has scored 21 points or more in four straight and five of his last six games. Over the past two weeks, he’s averaging 22.8 points per game on 44.6% shooting from the field. This season, Fox has posted 113 deflections (7th) and is averaging 3.3 deflections per contest, which ranks tied for third in the league while ranking seventh in steals per game (1.62). Fox has notched 15 multi-steal games this season, which is tied for ninth in the NBA.
Domantas Sabonis had 21 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, his 12th triple-double of the season and third in as many games. Since Dec. 1, Sabonis is averaging 21.2 points (63.0 FG%), 13.4 rebounds and 8.7 assists per outing. He leads the NBA in rebounds per game and total rebounds.
The Kings have been involved in trade talks on multiple fronts as general manager Monte McNair looks to shore up the roster for another run to the playoffs. Huerter, Harrison Barnes and Davion Mitchell are frequently mentioned in potential deals.
Sacramento won 48 games to secure the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference last season, ending the longest playoff drought in NBA history after 16 consecutive losing seasons. At 23-18, they have the same record as they had at this point a year ago, but they have fallen to seventh in the West after losing their last four games.
“This is a team that’s trying to get better and looking at ways to become legit contenders,” Huerter said of trade rumors. “I think, for the most part, every team has a lot of names on the table besides maybe a small handful of guys. It’s just part of playing in the NBA and part of the contract I’m on.”
