While each team in the NBA is well beyond the midway point of the season in terms of games played, the All-Star Game serves as the official midway point of the season. The trade deadline is now in the rearview, and once the stars of the league have shown off their skills this weekend, we will head into the second half and the home stretch of the regular season. In truth, this week off will be the last break that teams will get before the end of the season. The real pressure starts once we get to that point, but before we move on to the second half, we have some business to attend to over the next couple of days. Let’s focus on the Wednesday night games to see if we can come up with some winning O/U selections so you can bet against the NBA Odds.
O/U Picks for February 16th Matches | NBA Betting
Detroit Pistons at Boston Celtics – UNDER 213
It has been a nightmare season for the Detroit Pistons, who have just 12 wins so far this year. That puts them at the bottom of the pack in the NBA, and with 8 straight losses ahead of this one, there appears to be no end to the misery being piled on the Pistons. They will hit the road on Wednesday night to face a Boston Celtics team that is on fire at the moment, winning 9 games in a row. This looks like a total mismatch, but what we are concerned with here is the point total. The Pistons have seen the UNDER hit in 4 of their last 6 games, while the UNDER has hit in 9 of the last 12 for the Celtics. Yes, it has been the over that has been prevalent when these two play in Boston, but I like the recent trends and the UNDER for this one.
Portland Trail Blazers at Memphis Grizzlies – OVER 227 ½
We have a pair of teams in a very good run of form going head-to-head in this one. The Trail Blazers are just above the play-in line, but they have helped their playoff cause by winning each of their last 3 games. The Grizzlies, meanwhile, are on fire after winning 6 in a row, a run that has them in 3rd in the Western Conference, albeit 7 games back of the surging Suns. There is a lot of UNDER plays when looking at the trends for the Trail Blazers, but it’s very different when they play on the road, with 5 of their last 7 games away from home going OVER. For the Grizzlies, it has been the OVER that has hit a lot of late, with each of their last 7 going that route.
Denver Nuggets at Golden State Warriors – OVER 224 ½
The last pick on our parlay ticket looks to be an exciting matchup that is well worth watching and wagering on. The Nuggets are winners of 3 in a row and clinging to the last spot in the top 6. Heading to Oakland to face the Warriors is never an easy task, but Golden State, despite going 7-3 in their last 10, have been a little wobbly of late. The Nuggets have been a very good OVER pick in the last few weeks, with 8 of their last 12 games going that route. It has been the same story for the Warriors, who have seen 5 of their last 7 go OVER. I think we get some great offense and the OVER in this one.
