NBA Over/Under Betting Analysis & Picks for Week 20 Games

NBA Over/Under Betting Analysis & Picks for Week 20 Games

When we reach this stage of the season in the NBA, many of us start to look ahead and think about who we are going to wager on to win it all. The playoff picture is beginning to get clearer, but with so many games still to come, it is perhaps not the best idea to be looking ahead instead of focusing in the here and now. That is what we are going to do today, as there are a lot of games on the Wednesday schedule, which means a whole slew of betting opportunities. For the purposes of this piece, we are paying attention to the point total and coming up with some games that we believe look to be good bets against the NBA Odds. With that in mind, let’s get right to it.

O/U Picks for this Week Matches | NBA Week 20 Betting

Charlotte Hornets at Cleveland Cavaliers – OVER 219 ½

If the season were to end today, both of these teams would be in the postseason, albeit in very different spots. The Hornets are stuck in with the group of play-in teams, while the Cavaliers are up in the top 6 in the Eastern Conference. Previous meetings between these two teams have been split right down the middle in terms of the point total, with the last 10 going 5-5 O/U. Both teams are trending towards the under of late, but 4 of the last 5 Hornets’ visits to Cleveland have ended with the OVER being the end result.

Indiana Pacers at Orlando Magic – UNDER 232 ½

Here, we have a pair of teams languishing in the lower reaches of the Eastern Conference, with both having no shot at playing beyond the end of the regular season. It’s the type of game that many of us would ignore, but I think there is a chance to make some money on this one. Both of these teams have been trending OVER of late, and 8 of their last 10 meetings have gone that way, but I think the number here is a little too high, which is why I am going against the trend and taking the UNDER.

Miami Heat at Milwaukee Bucks – OVER 224 ½

This might actually be the best game on the schedule today, with the battle for the Eastern Conference title still very much alive and both of these teams in the mix. Just 4 games separate these two, who sit 1st and 4th in the NBA East Conference Standings, so this should be a fun one. In terms of the point total, the Heat have seen 8 of their last 11 games versus conference foes go OVER. Similarly, the OVER has hit for the Bucks in 10 of their last 12 games overall, so I think we can expect some offensive fireworks here.

Sacramento Kings at New Orleans Pelicans – UNDER 233

Things look pretty grim at the moment, but the Kings still have an outside shot at getting themselves into the play-in section. They can help their cause with a win over the struggling New Orleans Pelicans, but all we really care about here is the O/U. The immediate thought when looking at the Kings and Pelicans is to play the OVER, given that their previous meetings have gone that route, but the Pelicans are on a run that has seen 10 of their last 14 games go UNDER.
