NBA Preseason Betting Opportunities

Written by on October 4, 2022

The NBA preseason will continue on Wednesday, October 5, with five games on tap. Teams are looking to gear up for the 2022-2023 NBA regular season within the next couple of weeks with training camp and NBA preseason games.

There are those people that will want to bet on the NBA no matter whether it is the preseason, the regular season, or the postseason. What are some of the games to potentially bet on for this date’s slate of games?

Indiana Pacers vs. Charlotte Hornets

This game will tip off at 7 p.m. ET. The Indiana Pacers are going to have a lot of players competing for play time and roster spots during the preseason. Indiana is projected to be one of the worst teams in the NBA this upcoming season. One of their few marquee players will be Tyrese Haliburton on the Pacers.

He was acquired via trade from the Sacramento Kings last season. As for the Charlotte Hornets, LaMelo Ball is one of the marquee names across the NBA. The Hornets will have some other players looking to make their names heard during the 2022-2023 NBA preseason and regular season as well.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Philadelphia 76ers

This game will tip off at 7 p.m. ET. The Cleveland Cavaliers are going to be one of the more inspiring teams in the Eastern Conference this upcoming season. Cleveland will have high expectations with the moves they made during the offseason. Donovan Mitchell was acquired via trade from the Utah Jazz, and he is one of the best microwave scorers in the NBA.

Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, and Darius Garland are some of their other key players on the roster. This will also be the second night of a back-to-back for the Philadelphia 76ers. They might rest some of their stars like Joel Embiid and James Harden. Philadelphia might play some more of the younger players in this one off the bench.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

This game will tip off at 8 p.m. ET. The Dallas Mavericks were just in the Western Conference Finals a season ago. Dallas has Luka Doncic, and he is one the top two players in the NBA. The Mavericks need to figure out during training and in the preseason what else they have around him to get back to the Western Conference Finals and maybe even further during the 2022-2023 NBA season.

The Oklahoma City Thunder could be a fun watch this season with Josh Giddey. They were hoping to have second overall pick Chet Holmgren available this season, but he won’t be due to a Lisfranc injury. Holmgren went to college at Gonzaga and will need to put on some weight.

Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Lakers

These two basketball teams in the Western Conference will tip off at 10:00 p.m. ET on NBATV. The Phoenix Suns were the number seed in the West a season ago, led by Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and DeAndre Ayton. The Los Angeles Lakers missed the playoffs last season and need Lebron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook to click together.
