Slowly but surely, the playoff spots in the NBA are beginning to fill up, with the teams at the bottom of the pack starting to get eliminated as the end of the regular season approaches. The final few games of the season will decide who lands where, and perhaps more importantly, who will face off in the play-in tournament and the opening round postseason games. To say that the remaining games are of huge importance is putting things rather mildly, as every team with a shot at getting in will want to make sure that they head to the postseason on a good run of form. There are no games scheduled for Monday in the NBA, but we have picked out a few SU selections for the rest of the week so you can make your bets against the NBA Odds, so let’s get right into those.
Must Bet NBA Games From April 5th to 7th
Miami Heat over Charlotte Hornets – Tuesday, April 5
Both of these teams essentially know their playoff fates at this time. The Miami Heat have clinched their spot and are now on the brink of nabbing the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference. As for the Hornets, they are guaranteed a berth in the play-in tournament, and while both teams can relax a little, you still have the believe that the Heat have more to play for at this point. These teams have already played each other 3 times this season and it has been Miami who have come away with the win in each of those games. They come into this week on a 4-game win streak, and while the Hornets are playing well right now, I still like Miami for the regular season sweep.
Boston Celtics over Chicago Bulls – Wednesday, April 6
While the Miami Heat look set to clinch the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics still have an outside shot at running them down. Boston is currently 2 games out of the lead, but they are in great form, winning 8 of their last 10 games. At one time, the Chicago Bulls held the top spot in the East, but they have slid all the way down to 5th now and are still looking to officially clinch a spot in the top 6, which they will probably still do. These teams have split the season series, with the home team winning each time, but I think the Celtics snap that trend and win on the road versus the Bulls on Wednesday night.
Golden State Warriors over LA Lakers – Thursday, April 7
No one really saw it coming prior to the start of the season, but the LA Lakers have been an absolute disaster in 2022. They are now below the play-in line and look destined to be sitting at home when the playoffs begin. The Golden State Warriors looked like the team to beat in the Western Conference in the first half of the season, but they have cooled off dramatically in the second half. That said, the Warriors are still in the #3 spot and come into this week having won 2 in a row. While their form has not been great, you have to like the Dubs to take out a Lakers team that has now lost 6 in a row.
