At +410 and +470, Buccaneers and Chiefs become plays against

The preseason favorites are the current chalks to win the 2022 Super Bowl. But although both the Buccaneers and Chiefs have played lights out in recent weeks, neither is worth backing.

Tampa Bay gave up a 17-point lead against the Buffalo Bills in their Week 14 victory. Josh Allen dominated, which means Aaron Rodgers or Dak Prescott or even Matthew Stafford could dominate Tampa’s D in the playoffs.

The Chiefs blasted the rival Raiders 48-9. Beating Las Vegas doesn’t impress much. Also, Kansas City may have to travel to New England and face the Patriots in the AFC Championship.

At their current odds, both Tampa and KC are plays against.

Rams dump AZ, but don’t jump on the SB odds just yet

The Rams upset the Arizona Cardinals this past Monday night. But before jumping on Aaron Donald and his mates to win the Super Bowl, realize that LAR has a long way to go, and will require luck, to win the NFC West.

Also realize that one of two Kyler Murray interceptions happened in the red zone when the Cardinals were about to go up 10-3. Murray also missed A.J. Green for a long touchdown throw on Arizona’s first possession and the Cardinals failed to kick a field goal with around 5:00 left on the clock, which would have cut the lead to a TD.

So, yes, the Rams played great in the 30-23 victory. But LAR’s offensive line remains an okay but not great unit and the secondary is a mess. So look at all angles before biting on the +910.

Patriots and Packers are legit overlays at their current Super Bowl odds

The Green Bay Packers spotted the Chicago Bears a 20-point lead. Then, after halftime, Green Bay dominated to beat Chicago by 15 points, 45-30.

Because Arizona lost to the Rams, Green Bay is now the NFC’s 1-seed. If the Packers hang on to the top seed, they almost certainly will offer lower odds than +620. So if you believe in Green Bay, jump on Aaron Rodgers and his squad to win SB 56 sooner rather than later.

Titans and Colts offer tremendous value

The Indianapolis Colts must work hard to make the playoffs. If Indy gets in, they’ll have a shot because they field two of the three most important elements to win the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl winning teams have good to great quarterbacks, a strong rushing attack, and a top defense. The Colts have the best rusher in the NFL in Jonathan Taylor. The defense is the most opportunistic in the league.

The only question is whether Carson Wentz is good enough to lead his team to the Super Bowl. If Wentz doesn’t regress during the playoffs, Indianapolis will have a chance.

Like Indianapolis, Tennessee boasts a strong rushing attack. Currently, the Titans are the 2-seed. Tennessee has a big chance to win the AFC South division and grab a bye. If that happens, watch out because injured running back Derrick Henry should be back for the playoffs.

The top overlay on the board are the San Francisco 49ers

Don’t look now but the San Francisco 49ers are in line for a wildcard. The Niners have had to play through injuries to many of their top players.

Heading into NFL Week 15, it appears as if the 49ers have weathered the storm. Top linebacker Dre Greenlaw should soon return. In just two games, Greenlaw had a pick and 5 solo tackles.

Even without Greenlaw, the defense ranks eighth in the league in yards allowed. SF plays the Falcons, Titans, Texans, and Rams in their next four games. The 49ers can run the table, they already squashed the Rams earlier this season, which means SF could end up 11-6.

If San Francisco makes the NFL’s postseason, they become a legit Super Bowl contender. So jump on the 30-to-1 overlay odds as soon as possible if you believe.
