NFL 2021 Week 9 Odds Favorites to Wager On

Every week, the NFL slate of games provides an opportunity for both underdog and favorite bettors. Dogs against the spread aren’t always the best overlay plays. Sometimes, a favorite is also a great overlay. It all depends on the spread line. Check out the top NFL Betting favorites in Week 9 of the 2021 season you should consider backing to cover the spread.

Favorites You Should Bet On NFL Week 9

NFL Week 9

  • When: Thursday, Nov. 4 – Monday, Nov. 8

Indianapolis is a good bet to beat the Jets by at least 11

In Week 8, the Jets’ Mike White provided an improbable come from behind victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. But there were caveats with the performance.

Yes, White completed over 80% of his passes. That tells us Cincy didn’t have the right strategy. Not only that, but White also threw a couple of interceptions and the Jets required 17 points in the fourth-quarter to win.

17 is above NYJ’s point output for an entire game. The Colts blew a chance to make up ground in the AFC South on rival Tennessee. Indianapolis quarterback Carson Wentz threw 2 picks.

Wentz will be much sharper on Thursday and Indy leads the NFL in takeaways with 18. Colts roll.

Dolphins are a good bet to cover the -7 against the Texans

It’s difficult to have any faith in the Dolphins to win a game, much less cover a -7 spread. In this case, we’ve got no choice.

The Texans are a much different team now than they were before the trade deadline. Houston won’t have enough offensive power to keep this close.

On the flip side, Tua Tagovailoa has shown that when he’s on, he can throw great games. Tua should have no trouble hitting his receivers and the Fins should have no problem running up the score.

Miami has yet to break out with an awesome performance. Expect that to happen on Sunday. The defense will dominate Davis Mills and the Houston offense. Tua and Miami’s offense will score over 30.

Dallas is a close to cover lock against the Denver Broncos

Denver has fallen into a deep hole. Don’t expect the Broncos to get out of it. The problem for the ponies? The offense is horrible.

It’s downright pathetic, which is an issue because Cooper Rush or Dak Prescott, no matter who starts at quarterback for Dallas, will lead the Cowboys to at least 30 points.

To make matters worse if you’re a Broncos’ fan, Denver traded Von Miller to the Rams. The Broncos can’t stop opposing teams from scoring while the offense is worse than vanilla. It’s down right translucent.

Patriots should cover the -4 versus the Carolina Panthers

The Panthers beat an Atlanta Falcons’ squad without Calvin Ridley and, suddenly, we’re expected to believe Carolina can keep it close versus the Patriots?

New England’s offense is rocking. It scored 54 against the Jets on Oct. 24. In NFL Week 8, it dropped 27 onto the Los Angeles Chargers in a huge road win.

Sam Darnold may not play for the Panthers, which, unfortunately, won’t help Carolina in this game. No matter who the quarterback is, Bill Belichick will produce schemes to force the Panthers’ signal-caller into at least 2 interceptions.

Buffalo will trounce the Jaguars and cover the -14 ½

The number is huge, but the Jaguars only shot is to score with Buffalo. Jacksonville doesn’t have much of a defense. So the Jags will try to go head-to-head with one of the top offenses in the NFL.

Buffalo also has a great defense. This is setting up for a Bills’ blowout victory. Expect Buffalo to win this by over 20 points.
