Next Week’s Major League Baseball Series to Bet or Not to Bet On | July 29th Edition
Seattle Mariners vs New York Yankees
The Seattle Mariners and the New York Yankees will begin a three-game set starting on Monday, August 1st. Seattle is currently one of the wild card teams in the American League and it could potentially be an ALDS preview. Seattle has one of the superstars as a rookie in Julio Rodriguez. New York’s star is Aaron Judge.
The Mariners and Yankees starting pitching have been so-so as of late. This could be one of those series to potentially bet on a game-to-game basis because you don’t know how it is going to potentially unfold though.
Philadelphia Phillies vs Atlanta Braves
The Philadelphia Phillies and the Atlanta Braves are two National League East foes. They both have won five games against each other so far this regular season. Philadelphia is currently trying to fight for playoff positioning in the National League and Atlanta is currently the first wild card team in the National League.
Both of these baseball teams do not like each other. They just recently played each other as the Phillies took two-of-three games from the Braves. There will be a ton at stake when they play each other for two games on Tuesday, August 2nd, and Wednesday, August 3rd for a two-game set. Kyle Schwarber and Rhys Hoskins are the power hitters for Philadelphia and Dansby Swanson and Austin Riley are the power guys for Atlanta.
Atlanta Braves vs New York Mets
Starting on Thursday, August 4th, the chase for the National League East will be on for a five-game set. The Atlanta Braves currently trail the New York Mets by three games in the National League East. New York also took two-of-three from Atlanta on the road in the last series.
The aces of Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom will be on display for the Mets. Max Fried and Spencer Strider are the aces for the Braves. Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso for New York are their primary offensive hitters and so is Daniel Vogelback, who was recently acquired from the Pittsburgh Pirates. Atlanta’s Ronald Acuna Jr. has been struggling as of late. This series can decide everything in who wins the National League East between the Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets.
Toronto Blue Jays vs Tampa Bay Rays
On Tuesday, August 2nd, and Wednesday, August 3rd, the two American League East foes will meet each other for a two-game set. Toronto and Tampa Bay are both in prime playoff positioning right now as wild cards in the American League. The Blue Jays primary hitters are Valdimir Guerrero Jr. and George Springer. The Rays primary hitters are Isaac Parades and Randy Arozarena.
The pitching will be huge in this series. We will see but this could be a good series to bet on.
