There’s only four games on the National Basketball Association (NBA) schedule on Thursday, so let’s take a look ahead to Friday. Twenty teams are in action, including the first-place Denver Nuggets (Western Conference) and Boston Celtics (Eastern Conference). Denver matches up against the Memphis Grizzlies, while the Celtics host the Brooklyn Nets.
There’s several marquee matchups on Friday, but which ones should you bet on NBA to find the best value? Here’s a quick primer.
NBA Games to Bet on Friday: 3 Games Worth Betting On
New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat
When: Friday, March 3, 2023 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: Miami-Dade Arena, Miami, FL
This should be a fairly even game in regard to the spread and moneyline odds. The Knicks have won seven games in a row and are among the hottest teams in the league right now, while the Heat are 19-11 at home and just 4-6 in their last 10. Miami has one of the league’s best defenses, however, which should keep Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle in check.
While it’s tempting to ride the Knicks’ hot streak, Miami is a veteran team that should have no trouble getting up for a chance to end an Eastern Conference rival’s winning streak. New York. Take the Heat and the under.

Phoenix Suns vs. Chicago Bulls
When: Friday, March 3, 2023 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: United Center, Chicago, IL
It was a great debut for Kevin Durant with the Suns on Wednesday night as he scored 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting and added 6 rebounds and 2 assists in Phoenix’s 105-91 win over the Charlotte Hornets. As Durant gets more comfortable sharing the ball with Devin Booker, Phoenix could be a real scary team down the stretch.
Chicago is coming off of a scrappy 117-115 win over the Detroit Pistons, its second game in two nights. They’ll have a tough time defending the Suns high-powered offense if they allowed 115 to the Pistons, which average just 111 PPG and were without Cade Cunningham. Phoenix should be favored by at least 7 or 8 points. Hammer the Suns if that’s the case.

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Denver Nuggets
When: Friday, March 3, 2023 at 10:00 pm ET
Where: Ball Arena, Denver, CO
TV / Streaming: ESPN
Denver continues to prove it’s the best team in the Western Conference, even if it didn’t need to do much tinkering at the deadline. The re-emergence of Jamal Murray, along with the steady play of Aaron Gordon and the MVP-caliber play of Nikola Jokic, makes the Nuggets a real championship threat. Jokic is the frontrunner to win his third consecutive MVP, and Murray, after missing last year recovering from surgery, is averaging 20.1 PPG; he has scored 30-plus in four of his last seven games.
Memphis was the hottest team in the league about a month ago, but are now five games back of the Nuggets in second place in the West. They’ll be 4 or 5-point underdogs on the road against Denver, in which case you have to hammer the Nuggets. Denver is 28-4 straight up at home and 21-10-1 ATS. The Grizzlies are 10-19-1 ATS on the road.
