NBA O/U Betting Picks and Analysis for the Week 23 Games

The 2023 NBA playoffs are almost here. Still, plenty is left to be decided in the final week of the Association’s regular season, as only eight teams have clinched a postseason spot. Furthermore, just six squads have been eliminated from postseason contention, meaning nearly everyone has something to play for.

The following is a look at the best Over/Under bets for Week 23, which promises to be exciting and drama filled.  The action begins on Tuesday night with 13 games. All teams will be on the hardwood at least three or four times this week.

In looking at some of the over/unders for the upcoming week, we’ve found a couple of games that may interest the NBA betting public. Here is a brief breakdown of each game.

NBA Week 23 Betting Predictions: Over/Under Picks for the Best Week’s Matches

Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers

When: Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 8 p.m. ET
Where: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, PA
TV / Streaming: TNT

While this Tuesday night contest between the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers does not have the playoff implications it looked like it would a week ago, it is still very important. These two squads will likely face each other in the second round.  A Boston victory will wrap up the Eastern Conference’s second seed for the Celtics and give the C’s a season sweep of the 76ers.

Boston has been one of the league’s best teams all season. Boston enters the contest with a 54-24 record, sitting two games behind conference-leading Milwaukee and three games ahead of third-place Philadelphia. The Celtics, one of three teams in the top 10 in offensive and defensive rating, is the second-highest-scoring team in the league and is averaging nearly 120 points a game since the all-star break.

A week ago, Philadelphia was in serious contention for the conference’s No. 1 seed. However, the 76ers are 5-5 in their last 10 games and could fall to fourth if they don’t right the ship. The 76ers rank third in offensive and eighth in defensive ranking though the Sixers have dropped off a little offensively during this 10-game stretch.

Go with the Over. The Celtics and 76ers are one of the top offensive teams, and each has two players who can take over a game offensively. In the three previous contests where the Celtics are coming off three days rest, an average of nearly 244 total points have been scored.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Los Angeles Lakers

When: Wednesday, April 4, 2023, at 10 p.m. ET
Where: Crypto.com, Los Angeles, California
TV / Streaming: ESPN

This matchup between tenant mates is always intriguing, but Wednesday night’s clash is more meaningful as both the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers are vying for a spot in the Western Conference top six.

With three games left, the Clippers are trying to hold onto the Western Conference’s final automatic playoff spot. The Clips have dropped two straight and five of nine to fall into sixth place, with the real possibility of finishing eighth.  Paul George remains out due to a sprained right knee; the Clippers are 9-14 without him this year.

The Lakers are playing their best basketball down the stretch. The Lakers, who were in 11th place a few weeks ago, have won 13 of 19 contests and sit in seventh position heading into Tuesday’s night contest against the Utah Jazz.

The Lakers have been rolling lately, and part of the reason is due to them tightening up their defense. Take the Under, as the game could get physical and chippy. Both teams have been better on the defensive end at Crypto.com Arena than on the road, while the Clippers have struggled offensively following two days off this year.

Denver Nuggets vs. Phoenix Suns

When: Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 10:00 p.m. (ET)
Where: Footprint Center, Phoenix, Arizona
TV / Streaming: TNT

In a potential Western Conference second-round matchup, the Denver Nuggets travel to the Valley of the Sun to take on the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night.

Denver has been the top team in the Western Conference all season long. The Nuggets are 6-4 over the last 10 games as they have struggled offensively, averaging 110 points a game during this stretch. Nikola Jokic’s status is unknown, as he has a calf injury.

Phoenix was lingering in mediocracy this season. But the Suns got a new life with the acquisition of Kevin Durant, now considered a front-runner to represent the West in the NBA Finals.

Expect a highly entertaining, physical, and competitive contest. The Suns defeated the Nuggets 100-93 in Phoenix on March 31. Go with the Under

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Milwaukee Bucks

When: Friday, April 7, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. (ET)
Where: Footprint Center, Phoenix, Arizona
TV / Streaming: NBA TV

In a potential NBA Finals matchup, the Memphis Grizzlies hits the road to face the Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Arena on Friday evening.

Memphis has been one of the top teams in the league all season long and still has an outside chance of earning the Western Conference’s top seed despite not having a full roster for much of the second half of the season. But the Grizzlies are a much different team on the road than at home.

Milwaukee has been the Association’s best team all season long. The Bucks are one of the best defensive teams in the league and should have the Eastern Conference’s top seed sewn up by the time the game tips off.

Expect plenty of points with these two highly explosive offenses.

NBA Pick: Go for the Over | Bet Grizzlies vs. Bucks Today
