NBA Week 16 Betting Picks & Predictions for this Friday Best Matches

With the All-Star Break now vey much on the horizon, it is beginning to look as though we are going to see this portion of the season end with two clear leaders in both conferences. The Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets have put up leads that are likely to keep them at the top once the league does close down for a few days. Whether we are having this same conversation at the end of the regular season remains to be seen, as we can see fortunes change rather dramatically, especially once teams make their moves at the trade deadline. For now, all we can do is look at the games in front of us and make wagers based on how teams are performing right now. With that in mind, let’s look ahead to the Friday NBA betting games and pick a few that are worth your attention.

Top Week 16 Betting Matchups and Picks for February 3rd

Sacramento Kings at Indiana Pacers

With so many games still to come this season, very few teams will be believing that they are a playoff lock. That said, there are going to be plenty who are happy with where they are right now. I would imagine that the Sacramento Kings are in that group, as they are currently sitting in the #3 seed in the Western Conference, 2 games ahead of their nearest challenger. They are playing very good ball and have won 7 of their last 10. Over in the East, the Pacers are clinging to the final play-in spot and on a run that has seen them win just once in their last 10 games. On the face of it, this looks like an easy win for the Kings, but this Pacers team are a respectable 16-10 in their own building.

Phoenix Suns at Boston Celtics

Given the injury woes of the Suns this season and how well the Celtics have been playing all season long, this is another one that looks somewhat clear cut. That said, there are signs that the Suns are starting to turn things around, as they have gone 6-4 in their last 10 and are edging closer to the top 6 in the West. They are now just a half game out of that spot, but their 8-17 road record is more than a little problematic. The Celtics remain very consistent indeed and are on a modest 2-game win streak and on a run that has seen them win 7 of their last 10 games. Despite the obvious gap between these teams, this still feels like a game worth watching.

Atlanta Hawks at Utah Jazz

Not every NBA fan was happy with the introduction of the play-in system, but you have to say that it has added another level of excitement to the postseason race. Friday night sees a pair of teams looking to get out of their respective play-in zones go head-to-head. The Hawks have been playing .500 ball all season and have some work to do to get into the top 6, as they are currently 3 games back of the #6 seed. The Jazz are on a nice little roll at the moment, winning 7 of their last 10 to get within a half game of the #6 seed. This is an important one for both teams as they look to build some momentum.
