Miami Dolphins Win Loss Season Odds
The 2024 season is almost make or break for the Miami Dolphins.
Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins play in one of the toughest divisions, the AFC East.
Heading into his fifth season, it’s time for Tua to prove that he can lead a team not only to the playoffs, but also to win playoff games.
Will Tagovailoa and the Fins step it up in 2024?
Should NFL betting fans go over or under the total?

Miami Dolphins Win/Loss Total Odds
- Over 9.5 wins -122
- Under 9.5 wins +100
NFL Bettors Are Backing Over
Although the Dolphins have a difficult schedule, NFL handicappers are so far backing over the total.
The payout odds are close, -122 to over and +100 to under.
Still, the odds suggest that many believe the Dolphins can win enough games to grab 10 wins.
A thorough analysis awaits.
The fact is that the Dolphins have questions on both sides of the football, including whether they will boast the same electric offense as they did in 2023.
If they don’t, Miami could be in for a tough season.
Check out a schedule breakdown along with analysis of key games that will determine whether or not the Fins go over or under 9.5 wins.
Miami Dolphins Schedule Breakdown
Games the Dolphins Should Win
- Week 1 vs Jacksonville Jaguars
- Week 3 at Seattle Seahawks
- Week 4 vs Tennessee Titans
- Week 5 at New England Patriots
- Week 8 vs Arizona Cardinals
- Week 11 vs Las Vegas Raiders
- Week 12 vs New England Patriots
Remaining key games on the Miami Dolphins 2024 NFL Regular Season Schedule
NFL Week 2 vs Buffalo Bills
Both games versus the Bills and the Jets are going to go a long way in determining the Dolphins’ playoff chances.
Last season, Josh Allen and the Bills destroyed Miami in Buffalo.
The same could happen this season.
Both the Dolphins and the Bills have different rosters from last season.
Even so, the Bills will step it up on their field.
Buffalo beats Miami in Week 2.
NFL Week 9 at Buffalo Bills
7 weeks later, the Fins host the Bills in what should be a revenge, bounce back victory for Miami.
Tua is a much different quarterback at home than he is on the road.
Even if Buffalo has become one of the top teams in the league, a possibility of Allen and rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman click, Miami gets the win.
The bottom line is home field where the Dolphins know they must protect to have any shot at making the playoffs.
Miami beats Buffalo in the rematch.
NFL Week 11 at Green Bay Packers
On paper, this game should go either way.
But let’s be real.
It’s going to be difficult for Tua Tagovailoa to lead the Dolphins to Lambeau and pull off the upset.
It won’t help Miami’s cause that the Packers has talent on both sides of the ball this season.
Money is flying to Jordan Love to win the NFL MVP.
Love and the Packers roll the Fins.
NFL Week 14 vs New York Jets
The Jets should be in line for not only a playoff spot but a deep run in the playoffs.
Aaron Rodgers is healthy.
Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, Mike Williams, and Tyler Conklin give AR a solid group of skilled players.
The offensive line in New York is much improved and the defense acquired Hasson Reddick.
But Miami is at home.
The Dolphins should grab the victory, which will push them to 9 wins on the season.
NFL Week 17 at Cleveland Browns
The prediction is that Miami loses their NFL Week 18 game versus the New York Jets.
If the Jets, Bills, and Dolphins fight for the AFC East title, a real possibility, the winner could come down to the final game.
Miami travels to New York to take on the Jets in NFL Week 18.
The J-E-T-S will be ready to exact revenge over the Fins after the loss in NFL Week 14.
So if we count NFL Week 18 as a loss, Miami must win in NFL Week 17 to go over the total.
Will they?
Tua is going to struggle against Cleveland’s pressure, but the NFL Offensive Player of the Year favorite, Tyreek Hill, will step it up and bail out the Dolphins.
Head coach Mike McDaniel comes up with the perfect strategy to counter the Browns’ pass rush.
The Dolphins get the win and go over the total.
Final Betting Dolphins finish at 10-7
The Miami Dolphins will beat the Cleveland Browns in NFL Week 17.
The Fins won’t win the division, but they will score a playoff wildcard spot.
Also, Miami goes over the 9.5 total.
The payout isn’t bad.
So if you agree, consider backing Miami at over 9.5.
In addition, think about playing Tyreek Hill to win the NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award.
Hill will be Tua’s bailout on every play this season.

NFL 2022 Dolphins Win/Loss Betting Prediction for the Upcoming Season
Previous Betting News
I think that we can all agree that there is no right or wrong way to get to the playoffs in the NFL. Some teams take a circuitous route by doing just enough to make it to the Wild Card, while others come out and win the division in convincing fashion. Getting in is all that matters, as we all know that upsets are possible once the postseason begins. I mean, just look at the Cincinnati Bengals from last season. The Miami Dolphins have been busy this offseason, adding some major elements, such as Tyreek Hill, to give their QB, Tua Tagovailoa, the best shot at having success. The Dolphins, though, are in the same division as the Bills and the Patriots, so getting to the playoffs via the division winning route is a longshot. They can still get in, though, which would mean crossing their 8 ½ game win total set by the bookies. Can they do that? Let’s take a look and see so you can plan your bets against their NFL Team Totals Odds.
Miami Dolphins Win/Loss Total Prediction for the 2022 Season | NFL Betting
Dolphins Regular Season Schedule
The goal of every team is to get out to a fast start, but the Dolphins are going to have a tough time doing that this year. They open up the season at home to the Patriots, and while it’s a tough start, getting the win on home field is not out of the question. The rest of September, though, is brutal. They have road trips to face the Ravens and Bengals, as well as a home game versus the Bills. Getting out of September at 2-2 might be considered a win.
The Dolphins have an opportunity to make some hay in October, as they have a schedule that is very much in their favor. A road trip to face the Jets should be a win, while you would expect them to at least split their home games versus the Vikings and Steelers. They close out the month on the road to the Lions, another winnable game.
November also starts out with a manageable schedule, starting with a trip to Chicago to face the Bears. You would expect Miami to win that, and at least split two home games versus the Texans and Browns. In reality, those could both be wins.
Things get very tough coming down the stretch, starting with 3 straight games on the road versus the 49ers, Chargers, and Bills. Not sure they can expect too much from that. Maybe grabbing a single win might be good.
The close things out with a home game versus the Packers, a road trip to New England, and a very winnable game at home to the New York Jets. Like we said, another tough stretch, but if this team is to make it to the postseason, they need to make the most of their home games and find ways to win a couple of those tougher games.
Dolphins Win Total Prediction
The way the Dolphins schedule is laid out suggest that we might see them have some ups and downs this coming season. There are enough games in there, though, that they should be winning, which is why I think they can get to 9 or 10 wins on the season and go OVER the win total.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?

Miami Dolphins 2019 NFL Season Win/Loss Total Odds & Betting Prediction
Previous Betting News
After another failed stretch of season under another failed regime, it’s out with the old and in with the new for the Miami Dolphins as they get set for the upcoming 2019 NFL regular season. Miami is hoping they’ve finally found their franchise quarterback after pulling off a post draft trade with the Cardinals for Rosen, the 10th overall pick in the 2017 draft. The clearly gifted Rosen is looking for a fresh start following what was an unremarkable debut campaign with an awful Arizona team a year ago. Can the Fins kick off their new era with some success or will Miami have more questions that answers in 2019?
If you’re an NFL fan and betting enthusiast that wants to cash in on the value-packed NFL Win Total Odds, and you’d like to know just how many games the Miami Dolphins are going to win in 2019, then you’re in luck! Thanks to the expert NFL predictions that you’re about to get on each and every game on Miami’s upcoming 2019 docket, you’re going to have a great idea of just how many games the Dolphins will win this coming season.
The Dolphins went an uninspiring 7-9 in 2018 to record their second straight losing record and third in four years. In six years with former quarterback Ryan Tannehill under center, Miami went a lackluster 42-46 while reaching the playoffs just once in 2016. In three season under former head coach Adam Gase, Miami went 23-25 while making the playoffs in 2016 with a 10-6 record that represented the franchise’s first winning mark since 2008.
The Dolphins closed out the 2018 season ranked a pitiful 31st in total offense, 30th in passing and 26t in scoring (19.9 ppg) while also ranking 29th in total defense and 27th in points allowed (27.1 ppg).
To address their offseason needs, Miami parted ways with former GM Mike Tannenbaum and Gase and promoted Chris Grier to GM, who then hired former New England Patriots linebackers coach Brian Flores as the team’s new head coach. The Dolphins also drafted former Clemson star Christian Wilkins with the 13th overall pick before adding Wisconsin tackle Michael Deiter and Wisconsin linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel in the third and fifth rounds respectively. Miami also added veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, wide receiver Davante Parker, cornerback Eric Rowe and tight end Dwayne Allen in free agency.
Miami Dolphins 2019 NFL Season Win/Loss Total Odds & Betting Prediction
Week 1 vs. Baltimore
I love Miami’s addition of Josh Rosen, but Baltimore’s stout defense is going to make him eat dirt in what should be his debut with the Fins. Loss. 0-1.
DYK Alert
Did You Know That Tom Brady has compiled a surprising 7-10 regular season road mark against the Miami Dolphins in his career?
Week 2 vs. New England
The Dolphins have won five of their last six home games against the Patriots including last season’s Miami Miracle victory, but the revamped Fins won’t get the home win here simply because they’re going to be trying to find their new identity at this early juncture of the season. Loss. 0-2.
Week 3 at Dallas
While there aren’t many things I like better than watching the Cowboys lose, there’s no way the Boys fail to bag the win here against a Dolphins team that is inferior on both sides of the ball. Loss. 0-3.
Week 4 vs. LA Chargers
Even at home, Miami will be no match for Philip Rivers and a Chargers team with legitimate Super Bowl hopes. Loss. 0-4.
Week 5 BYE
Week 6 vs. Washington
The Dolphins finally pick up their first victory of the season against a Redskins team that no one knows right now who their starting quarterback will be in 2019. Win. 1-4.
Week 7 at Buffalo
The Fins and Bills split their two regular season meetings a year ago and I expect the same in 2019, loss. 1-5.
Week 8 at Pittsburgh
So what Le’Veon bell and Antonio brown are gone. Pittsburgh rolls to the easy win at home in Week 8. Loss. 1-6.
Week 9 vs. NY Jets
The Dolphins swept the Jets a year ago and they’ll get the home win here to make it three straight over the J-E-T-S, Jets, jets, Jets! Win. 2-6.
Week 10 at Indianapolis
Andrew Luck could play this game blindfolded and he’d be far better than any quarterback on Miami’s roster. Loss. 2-7.
Week 11 vs. Buffalo
Miami extracts some revenge in this one. Win. 3-7.
Week 12 at Cleveland
The new-look Browns are hoping to challenge for a playoff berth this season while Miami is just hoping to get back to being a respectable franchise. Loss. 3-8.
Week 13 vs. Philadelphia
The Eagles march into South Beach to lay an emphatic smackdown on the overmatched Fins. Loss. 3-9.
Week 14 at NY Jets
Sam Darnold outplays Ryan Fitzpatrick of Josh Rosen to lead New York to the solid home win in this Week 14 battle against their longtime AFC East division rivals. Loss. 3-10.
Week 15 at NY Giants
The Giants might have really blown it during the NFL Draft, but they’ve still got a Hall of Fame talent in superstar running back Saquon Barkley and I expect the former Penn State standout to be the best player on the field in this one. Loss. 3-11.
Week 16 vs. Cincinnati
Marvin Lewis might be gone, but I still don’t trust Andy Dalton and the underachieving Bengals. Win. 4-11.
Week 17 at New England
Unless the Patriots have nothing left to play for, they’ll win this game by steamrolling the Dolphins to pick up some momentum prior to the start of the playoffs.
While I guess it’s possible that Miami could reach the five-win mark in 2019, I just don’t see it happening. The Dolphins are in the beginning stages of a massive rebuild and they’ve got question marks at quarterback (again). Four wins sounds just about perfect from where I’m sitting.
Miami Dolphins 2018 NFL Win/Loss Odds Prediction
Previous Betting News
The Miami Dolphins had an absolutely miserable 2017 season that went about as awry as anyone could have predicted, although the longtime AFC East-based franchise clearly exacerbated things by making one really foolish roster move.
Not only did the Fins lose starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill to a season-ending ACL tear in a training camp practice, a year ago, but they made things even worse by choosing to sign retired career underachiever Jay Cutler to be their starting quarterback in 2017 because of his familiarity with former head coach Adam Gase. Cutler started 14 games for the Dolphins and played some uninspired football as he has throughout his career.
Now, as Miami gets set for the 2018 regular season, they are hoping for a full return to health for Tannehill and would like nothing better than to get back to being the playoff team they were in Gase’s first season in South beach in 2016. If you’re wondering how many games the Dolphins will potentially win this coming regular season, then you’re going to love the expert analysis and predictions you’re about to get on the Miami Dolphins regular season win total odds.
Miami Dolphins 2018 NFL Win/Loss Odds Prediction
- Miami Dolphins Win Total Odds – 7
Week 1: Sunday, Sept. 9, vs. Tennessee Titans, 1 p.m. ET
Simply put, the Titans have the best quarterback in this matchup with Marcus Mariota being infinitely better than Ryan Tannehill, not to mention they’ve got a workhorse running back in Derrick henry that I’m expecting a 1,000-yard campaign out of in 2018. Loss. 0-1.
Week 2: Sunday, Sept. 16, at New York Jets, 1 p.m. ET
Josh McCown or Teddy Bridgewater are both be better than Ryan Tannehill, plus I love Jets’ defensive genius head coach Todd Bowles. Loss. 0-2.
Week 3: Sunday, Sept. 23, vs. Oakland Raiders, 1 p.m. ET
Oakland’s Derek Carr is so much better than Ryan Tannehill it isn’t even funny. Hell, Jon Gruden could out-coach Adam Gase from the TV booth for that matter. Loss. 0-3.Week 4: Sunday, Sept. 30, at New England Patriots, 1 p.m. ET
The Super Bowl champs cashed in a year ago as a 17-point home favorite and I like them to win by at least 10 in this Week 4 AFC East divisional battle. Loss. 0-4.
Week 5: Sunday, Oct. 7, at Cincinnati Bengals, 1 p.m. ET
I’m expecting the Bengals to be a lot better than anyone thinks at this point. Andy Dalton outplays Ryan Tannehill and Marvin Lewis out-coaches Adam Gase. Loss. 0-5.
Week 6: Sunday, Oct. 14, vs. Chicago Bears, 1 p.m. ET
I might sound a bit repetitive, but I’ll take Chicago’s second-year signal-caller Mitchell Trubisky over Ryan Tannehill. Still, Miami wins this Week 5 matchup out of sheer desperation. Win. 1-5.
Week 7: Sunday, Oct. 21, vs. Detroit Lions, 1 p.m. ET
I can’t put my finger on it just yet, but I’m not real fond of Detroit’s hiring of former Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia. This looks like a game Miami should win out of sheer desperation for the second straight week. Win. 2-5.
Week 8: Thursday, Oct. 25, at Houston Texans, 8:20 p.m. ET
Deshaun Watson, J.J. Watt and a Houston Texans team with very legitimate playoff hopes, cruises to victory in this one! Loss. 2-6.
Week 9: Sunday, Nov. 4, vs. New York Jets, 1 p.m. ET
The Dolphins get some revenge in this one for their Week 2 road loss to the Jets. Win 3-6.
Week 10: Sunday, Nov. 11, at Green Bay Packers, 1 p.m. ET
Seriously? There is absolutely no way that Miami goes into Green Bay to upset Aaron Rodgers and company. Loss. 3-7.
Week 11: Bye
Week 12: Sunday, Nov. 25, at Indianapolis Colts, 1 p.m. ET
I’m thinking Indianapolis is going to be pretty damned awful on defense in 2018, but I’m going with Andrew Luck to outplay Ryan Tannehill. Loss. 3-8.
Week 13: Sunday, Dec. 2, vs. Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m. ET
The Fins get a much-needed win in Week 13 against a Bills team that looks like they could be pitiful at quarterback. Win. 4-8.
Week 14: Sunday, Dec. 9, vs. New England Patriots, 1 p.m. ET
The Patriots have struggled in South Beach in recent season, but by the time this Week 14 matchup rolls around, they’ll be looking to pick up momentum before the start of the playoffs. Loss. 4-9.
Week 15: Sunday, Dec. 16, at Minnesota Vikings, 1 p.m. ET
If the Minnesota Vikings powerful defense doesn’t pick off Tannehill at least twice in this affair, I’ll wear some Cowboys gear for the weekend – and that’s not happening! Loss. 4-10.
Week 16: Sunday, Dec. 23, vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, 1 p.m. ET
Jacksonville is rock-solid defensively and plays some old-school power rushing kind of football on offense. The Jags should be gearing up for the playoffs by the time this Week 16 affair goes down. Loss. 4-11.
Week 17: Sunday, Dec. 30, at Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m. ET
The Bills will get their regular season split in this regular season finale, but it looks like a meaningless affair for both teams f you ask me. Loss. 4-12.
I’m thinking there’s no way that Miami tops their win total odds of seven victories in 2018. I’m thinking the Dolphins are in for a tough way to go and that they had better start preparing for life after the mediocre Ryan Tannehill! Under 7 Wins!
2016 Miami Dolphins Season Win Total Predictions
Previous Betting News
Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross is getting impatient as his franchise hasn’t reached the postseason since 2008 when Miami won the AFC East Division. That was the last time the New England Patriots didn’t win the East and also happened to be when Tom Brady missed all but one game of the season with an injury. Can the youngest head coach in the NFL get the Fins to the postseason this year? They have a wins total of 7 on online NFL betting odds so clearly oddsmakers aren’t too confident.
Let’s Take a Closer Look at the 2016 Miami Dolphins Season Win Total Predictions
Miami fired coach Joe Philbin early last season and replaced him this offseason with former Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase, the new youngest head coach in the NFL. Gase arrived in Miami with a track record for meshing well with franchise quarterbacks. That he has had success with — and seems to prefer — big pocket passers makes him a natural fit with Ryan Tannehill, who regressed in his fourth NFL season.
Gase revived Jay Cutler’s career last year with the Bears. Cutler, who had been reduced to a pick-6 punchline heading into 2015, finished with 3,659 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, a completion percentage of 64.4 and a passer rating of 92.3. And perhaps most impressive, Cutler ranked 9th in value-per- play among all quarterbacks, according to Football Outsiders' metrics. Gase was always the front-runner for the job, and the Dolphins put a full-court press on the guy also credited with making Tim Tebow a winning quarterback and helping Peyton Manning set NFL records in Denver. Gase, 37, is three years younger than Don Shula was he got the Dolphins job in 1970.
Why Betting On The Over?
This should be a pretty good defensive team at least. The team added likely four new starters on that side of the ball this offseason. The team added two of them in a trade with Philadelphia in linebacker Kiko Alonso and cornerback Byron Maxwell. The Fins also go the No. 13 overall pick in the draft and sent Philly the No. 8 overall pick.
Maxwell has five years left on the $63 million contract he signed last year. He will make $8.5 million this season. Alonso is playing in the final year of his rookie contract and will make $991,948. The Dolphins were ranked 25th in total defense last season. They also signed defensive end Mario Williams to a two-year contract and agreed to terms with Detroit safety Isa Abdul-Quddus. Known as a hard hitter, Abdul- Quddus, 26, has played in 74 NFL games, making 136 tackles with four forced fumbles, twointerceptions, a sack and a fumble recovery.
New defensive coordinator Vance Joseph is betting that, out of this collection of flawed new
“I think it’s better because you play faster and you dictate how games go,” Joseph said. “Now, that’s not going to guarantee you’re going to win every football game. But it will guarantee that you’ll cause havoc.
And to be a great defense, you have to be able to cause havoc and turn the ball over and do those things. … We’re going to allow those guys to rush and be aggressive. My vision for this defense is to have the most aggressive front in the league. And with those four or five guys, even with [Andre] Branch, he’s come here and been a really good surprise because he can rush. And he’s been a compliant guy. He’s worked hard. So we have five or six rushers. So we’re going to rush.”
Why Betting On The Under?
I'm not a fan of this team’s running back situation after letting underrated Lamar Miller leave for Houston in free agency. The Miami Dolphins head into the 2016 season with second-year running back Jay Ajayi as the starter. The team added rookie Kenyan Drake to serve as the complimentary back to Ajayi, using a third-round pick to add the Alabama running back. Ajayi gained 187 yards on 49 carries with 1 touchdown last year.
Former Houston Texan Arian Foster has a workout with the Dolphins on Monday followed by the Lions later this week. While the veteran does turn 30 in August, these two tailback-needy teams could use some insurance, or a possible starter, in case the Ajayi and Ameer Abdullah experiments don’t work out as planned. Foster tore an Achilles in Week 4 last season, and hasn't played all 16 games since 2012. Foster had a huge season as recently as 2014, rushing for 1,246 yards on 260 carries (4.8 YPC) and eight TDs in 13 games. He added 38 receptions for 327 yards and five TDs. Foster has played in 25 of a possible 48 games over the past three seasons. He had back surgery midway through the 2013 season and after numerous groin injuries, had groin surgery in August of 2015, which knocked him out for the season’s first month. It could be worth the gamble that he some gas left in the tank.
My Betting Prediction
I’m going under the total, expecting a 6-10 record on NFL odds.
