Series History
Including playoffs, the Eagles are 22-20-1 all-time against the Rams, but Jalen Hurts has never faced LA as the last meeting was in 2020 and the Rams won 37-19 in Philly. Jared Goff threw three touchdown passes to Tyler Higbee, who is still with the Rams. Goff is in Detroit. Carson Wentz was 26 of 43 for 242 yards and two interceptions for the Eagles and is now out of the NFL.
Why Bet on Philadelphia?
The Eagles are 4-0 but haven’t exactly been dominating. They escaped at home last Sunday vs. Washington 34-31. Jalen Hurts completed 25 of 37 passes for 319 yards and two touchdowns. He added 34 rushing yards on nine carries. Both scores went to A.J. Brown, a 59-yard bomb in the third quarter and a 28-yard strike in the fourth, as Hurts topped 300 passing yards and threw multiple touchdowns for the first time this season. He now has five TDs through the air and three more on the ground through four games.
Jake Elliott was 4-for-4 on field goals, 2-for-2 on extra points, and kicked a game-winning 54-yard field goal in overtime. He led all NFL kickers in both points (14) and field goals this past week and was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week. Elliott’s 54-yarder to finish off the Commanders was the longest overtime game-winning field goal in franchise history since the 1970 merger.
Hurts carries a 10-game road winning streak into this one. That is win shy of matching Patrick Mahomes for the longest streak since 1950 by a starting QB age 25 or younger. It’s already the longest streak by an Eagles starting QB since 1950. Hurts can become the 5th QB since 1950 to go 22-1 in a 23-start span overall with a win Sunday.
Starting right guard Cam Jurgens was described by coach Nick Sirianni as “week-to-week” with a foot injury suffered in Sunday’s win over the Commanders. Jurgens did not play in the second half. Sua Opeta, the fifth-year veteran out of Weber State, replaced Jurgens in the lineup and played “outstanding,” according to Sirianni, who indicated Opeta would get his fifth career start if Jurgens can’t go. It will come against a Rams interior pass rush featuring Donald, the seven-time first-team All-Pro who has 2.5 sacks and six QB hits on the season.
“We’re not playing our best ball right now, but we’re still finding ways to win games,” center Jason Kelce said. “We have a lot to clean up and we know that, but we’re happy being 4-0. That’s what this league is about – you are always trying to improve and that’s where we are. We aren’t playing our best ball offensively. We know what we can do when we are at our best.”

Why Bet on LA Rams?
Los Angeles was a 29-23 OT winner at the Colts on Sunday. In the opening drive with a 26-yard pass to WR Puka Nacua, QB Matthew Stafford eclipsed 53,000 career passing yards. He is the 11th player in NFL history to hit this milestone. Stafford completed 27-of-40 passes for 319 yards and one touchdown. He totaled his 43rd career game-winning drive in the fourth quarter/overtime, which is the most in the NFL since Stafford entered the league in 2009, breaking a tie with Matt Ryan.
Stafford has completed 103-of-166 passes for 1,229 yards and three touchdowns on the year. He ranks second in the NFL in passing yards, is tied for second in completions, and is second in passing first downs (62). RB Kyren Williams is tied for third in the NFL in rushing touchdowns (five), tied for 10th in most points scored (36), and third in yards after catch per reception (10.09). Through four games, he has 64 carries for 245 yards and five rushing touchdowns. Additionally, he has recorded 11 receptions for 101 yards and one receiving touchdown, totaling 346 all-purpose yards.
Rookie WR Puka Nacua had the winning TD vs. the Colts. Nacua has 39 receptions and passed Anquan Boldin (30 receptions in 2003) for the most receptions ever by a player in his first four career games. Nacua has 501 receiving yards and also passed Boldin (464 yards in 2003) for the most receiving yards ever by a player in his first four career games. Nacua, who had 119 receiving yards in Week 1 and 147 receiving yards in Week 2, is the second player in NFL history with at least 100 receiving yards in three of his first four career games, joining Harlon Hill (1954).
The Rams and the Eagles are two of the best offenses in the league right now. The Rams are ranked 4th in yards per game (392.8) and the Eagles are ranked 5th (392.0). The Rams defense is ranked 9th in yards allowed per game (295.8) and are going up against a high-powered offense.
Up front, Rams offensive linemen Rob Havenstein, Coleman Shelton and Steve Avila are all tied for first in the NFL for most offensive snaps played. OL Kevin Dotson has played 78 snaps and allowed one sack, one pressure, and zero hurries or quarterback hits. Both Shelton and Havenstein have not allowed a sack thus far this season. Shelton has been beaten by a defender without allowing a pressure only twice.
