NFL Team Totals Betting Predictions to Must Use for the Upcoming 2022 Season

Now that we have officially passed the 2022 NFL Draft, it is time to take a view of the teams and decide which teams will win more or less games than the sportsbooks are offering us.

We have the NFL schedule as well, which is an important factor in determining this stuff. Today, we will be diving into the top bets that you should be making against the NFL Team Totals odds before the season starts.

Using the NFL Total Win Season Win Predictions in Your Forecasting for the Upcoming Season

New York Jets Over 5.5 Wins

This feels like an absolute steal of a wager after the exceptional offseason. General Manager Joe Douglas decided to bolster the offense for second-year quarterback Zack Wilson as he added tight end C.J. Uzomah and bolstered up the offensive line a bit, as well as drafting wide receiver Garrett Wilson, running back Breece Hall, and tight end Jeremy Ruckert as well.

Defensively, the Jets added secondary help by signing safety Jordan Whitehead and drafting cornerback Sauce Gardner. They have to run the AFC North gauntlet to begin the season but should scratch across a couple of wins, and the back-half of their schedule gets easier with teams like the Lions, Jaguars, and Seahawks.

This team has the potential to compete for a Wild Card spot; they definitely will be winning at least six games.

New Orleans Saints Over 7.5 Wins

This number makes me scratch my head as this team only got better and faltered once quarterback Jameis Winston went down with a torn ACL.

However, he has re-signed and is expected to be ready at the beginning of the season and could be a huge threat. They lost Sean Payton as he retired and have Dennis Allen as their new head coach. This team improved a bit in their secondary as they signed Marcus Maye to a deal.

The offense should also drastically improve as wide receiver Michael Thomas is expected to be healthy and play, as well as a first-round pick wide receiver Chris Olave. They also built up the offensive line by selecting offensive tackle Trevor Penning with their additional first-round pick.

This team has a very tough schedule, but they are a top team in the NFC and should be a Wild Card team, if not win the NFC South division. They have four games against Carolina and Atlanta, as well as a match against Seattle. This team seems to be a 8-9 win team so go with the over 7.5 wins.

Arizona Cardinals Under 9.5 Wins

The NFC West is going to remain a struggle to win, but the Arizona Cardinals do not have luck on their side after starting each of the previous two seasons off hot, but eventually faltering and not being able to turn the year around.

They will also be without wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins for six games as he is dealing with a PED suspension.

Arizona has the 9th most difficult schedule as well, so this can be a tough season for the Cards as they can get off to a slow start with the season starting vs. Chiefs, at Raiders, vs. Rams.

I do not see Arizona reaching ten wins, so go with the under 9.5 wins.

The top free agents have found new teams and the draft is in the books, which is why it’s time to start planning for the NFL Season. Parity reigns in the NFL, which is why underdogs exist in almost every future betting category. Keep reading for four long shot teams that have a real chance at winning their division so you can bet against their NFC Divisional odds and their AFC Divisional odds respectively.

Four Long Shot NFL Bets to Win their Division this Season

2022-2023 NFL Regular Season

  • When: Sep. 8, 2022 – Jan. 8, 2023

NFC East – Washington Commanders +480

The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles are the two favorites to win the NFC East. But although Dallas and Philly should be tough to beat, Washington offers overlay odds.

Ron Rivera’s defense will be much better this season than last season. The offense should be a very good unit now that Carson Wentz is under center. The Commanders are under the radar, which makes them a solid long shot pick.

As you may have guessed, D.C.’s success depends on how well Wentz performs. Carson has a seriously talented target in wide receiver Terry McLaurin. So if things go well, Washington can upset Dallas and Philadelphia.

NFC South – New Orleans Saints +400

No doubt, the odds on the Saints to win the NFC South will fall. So if you agree with the following assessment, jump on the Saints as soon as possible.

New Orleans made two key free agent signings in the past couple of weeks. Dennis Allen’s squad signed Tyrann Mathieu to play safety. New Orleans also signed Jarvis Landry to play wide receiver.

In addition, New Orleans drafted receiver Chris Olave and left tackle Trevor Penning in the first round. Yes, Tom Brady is back with the favorite, Tampa Bay. But overall, New Orleans appears to have the better team.

The key for the Saints will be how well Jameis Winston clicks with his receivers. If Winston doesn’t throw picks, the Saints will thrive.

AFC West – Las Vegas Raiders +800

Kansas City, the Los Angeles Chargers, and the Denver Broncos are loaded. No doubt, those three teams should be favored to win the AFC West.

But we shouldn’t look past a team that made it to the playoffs last season and signed the best wide receiver in the NFL, Davante Adams, during the offseason. Las Vegas is a seriously talented team.

The Raiders can hang with any squad in the AFC West. So at the odds, they’re a fantastic play to win the division. The defense is underrated and quarterback Derek Carr and Adams played together at Fresno State.
