While the midway point in games played in the NBA season is almost here, we are still more than a month away from the All-Star Break. There is a lot of basketball to be jammed into that time, and you have to wonder of the standings will look the same as they do now. With things so tight in both conferences, chances are we might see some big changes before the break arrives. Rather than looking that far ahead, we are simply going to focus on the games coming this week. There are a lot of great NBA betting matchups to choose from, so let’s take a look at a few that we really like.
Top Week 13 Betting Matchups and Picks for this Week
Chicago Bulls as Boston Celtics – Monday
Two of the most iconic teams in the NBA meet up on Monday night in an Eastern Conference matchup with playoff implications. Yes, it’s a little early to be talking playoffs, but for those down in the pay-in zone, the need to move up is real. That is where the Bulls find themselves at the moment, and things are not about to get any easier with a trip to Boston to face the current #1 team in the East. The Bulls have already taken 2 of 3 from Boston this season, but it is worth noting that it has been the home team that has won every time.
Phoenix Suns at Golden State Warriors – Tuesday
Both of these teams are sitting in the play-in zone in the Western Conference, but both teams are very close to getting over the line and into the top 6. The Suns are in a nightmare run of form at the moment, as they have lost 6 in a row and are just 1-9 over their last 10 games. The Warriors have lost 2 in a row, but they do have a winning record in their last 10. Perhaps more importantly, though, they are an impressive 16-4 in their own building. Gotta give the edge to Golden State at home in this one.
Milwaukee Bucks at Atlanta Hawks – Wednesday
This is another one of those games where you look at the standings and have an immediate opinion on who will win. The Bucks are up in the #3 slot in the Eastern Conference. 6 ½ games up on the Hawks, who are in possession of the final play-in spot. That would make it seem like the Bucks are a sure bet to win, but that may not be the case, as Atlanta has already taken 2 of 3 from Milwaukee this season. The Bucks are playing just .500 ball on the road, so this will absolutely not be a slam dunk.
Boston Celtics at Brooklyn Nets – Thursday
I usually try to avoid looking at the same team twice when doing these previews, but it is impossible not to have this game on the must watch and wager list for the week. These teams represent the top 2 teams in the East, and while Boston has the lead, it’s only by a single game. The Nets are red hot right now, winning 9 of their last 10 games and dominating in their own building. The Celtics had a comfortable win when they met earlier this season, but I think this one might go the other way.
