Each of the 4 series in the second round of the NBA playoffs are hanging in the balance, but the next couple of days may see things swing in the direction of one team or another. This is particularly true for the series that are currently tied at 2-2, as getting the Game 5 win can often be the difference, as the losing team suddenly finds themselves on the brink of elimination. We have already looked at the SU and ATS picks for the next 4 games, but now we are going to turn our attention to the point total. Let’s break those games down to see if we can pick some winners so you can get ready to place your bets against NBA Playoffs Odds.
Over/Under Picks for Monday and Tuesday Round 2 Matches | NBA Playoffs Betting
Boston Celtics at Milwaukee Bucks Game 4 – OVER 212
This is one of those games where there is a definite trend that is very tough to ignore. The first 3 games between the Bucks and the Celtics have gone under the point total, including Game 3, which had the exact same point total as this one. Despite the trends very much pointing one way, I am still leaning toward the OVER in this one. The Celtics have seen the OVER hit in each of their last 4 games played on a Monday night, while the Bucks are 7-1 O/U in their last 8 home games versus a team with a winning record. This may be a bit of a risk, but I am on the OVER.
Memphis Grizzlies at Golden State Warriors Game 4 – OVER 223 ½
The Golden State Warriors have an opportunity to really put the Memphis Grizzlies in a hole on Monday night, as they head into Game 4 on home court with a 2-1 series lead. This is a series that has seen a lot of offense, with 2 of the 3 games to this point going OVER the point total. The Grizzlies coming into Game 4 as an underdog might be important, as 13 of their last 16 playoff games with the dog label have gone OVER. In the last 4 games following a SU win, the Warriors have also seen the point total go OVER, so let’s stick with that.
Philadelphia 76ers at Miami Heat Game 5 – UNDER 209 ½
Through the opening 4 games of this series, it has been the home team that has come away with the win. Whether that trend hold remains to be seen, but we are not really concerned with that at this point, as this is all about trying to figure out the O/U for Game 5 of the series. There are some things that point to this game going in one particular direction, which is the UNDER. In the 6 games following an outing where the 76ers scored 100 or more points, it has been the UNDER that hit. Similarly, when the Heat allow 100 or more points, the 5 following games have gone UNDER.
Dallas Mavericks at Phoenix Suns Game 5 – UNDER 213
This is another series that has gone the way of the home team through the first 4 games, but again, we are specifically looking at the point total with this one. This is a tougher one to pick in that regard, as the series has gone 2-2 O/U through the opening 4 games. There are a couple of things that point to the UNDER here, though, starting with the fact that the UNDER has hit in 4 of the last 5 Mavericks games following an ATS win. Similarly, the Suns have seen the UNDER hit in 6 of their last 7 games following an ATS loss.
