NFL Betting – Dallas Cowboys Calendar Odds & Analysis For the 2021-22 Season
The Cowboys in 2020
On the face of it, the Dallas Cowboys looked to be in a very good position heading into 2020. They had what looked to be an elite offense, as well as a new head coach in Mike McCarthy, a man who had a very successful stint in Green Bay. Things did not go as planned, though, as the Cowboys defense was horribly exposed, while QB Dak Prescott went out for the season early with a brutal injury. From that point forward, it was all downhill for Dallas.
Last season, the NFC East proved to be the worst division in football, with the Washington Football team winning it and heading into the playoffs with a losing record. The Dallas Cowboys finished the season at 6-10, which is a bit of a minor miracle when you consider that they surrendered a whopping 478 points last year. The question now is whether they did enough to address those defensive woes.
Odds to Make the Playoffs and Win the Super Bowl
So, you look at the Dallas Cowboys schedule and you assume that making the playoffs is a slam dunk. After all, they have the second weakest schedule in the league, yet there are still some legitimate concerns with this team, most notably on the defensive side of the football. Dallas opens the season against the Super Bowl champs, and that game may tell us a lot about what to expect. If the Cowboys D hold up against Brady and company, they might be alright. Here is what the bookies think about Dallam making the playoffs this season:
What we need to look at here is how this division will look compared to last season. The Giants and Washington look as though they are going to be better, while there are still some question marks about the Eagles. I don’t believe that we are going to see a team with a losing record win this division again, and with the schedule that Dallas has, you can see why the bookies favor them to get in. I am not as sure, though, as I don’t think they have done enough to shore up the defense. Also, how is Prescott going to look returning from a major injury and sitting behind an O-line that does not have a ton of depth?
As far as the Super Bowl goes, the Cowboys are very much in dark horse territory, with the bookies setting their odds at +2800.
