NFL Week 14 ATS Picks and Expert Analysis

2023 NFL Week 14 ATS Picks: The end of the NFL regular season is fast approaching, with a bunch of teams now barely clinging to life in the playoff races in both conferences. MyBookie Sportsbook NFL Odds, American Football NFL Lines

These are battles that are going to go all the way down to the final week of the season, but we are going to start seeing teams officially eliminated with each passing week. Right now, the Carolina Panthers are the only team to have officially been taken out of playoff contention, but that number is going to start growing, as is the number of teams beginning to clinch their postseason spot. We may see some of that happen in Week 14, but all we are focusing on at the moment is individual NFL bets, so let’s get to our ATS selections for the coming weekend.

Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints

The first game that we are going to look at here is one that features the already eliminated Carolina Panthers. Teams will tell you that tanking isn’t really a thing, but I don’t expect to see the Panthers put up too much of a fight in the final few weeks of the season with the #1 draft pick staring them right in the face. The Saints are still alive in a very mediocre NFC South Division, but they really need a win here to keep pace with the Atlanta Falcons. Neither of these teams have been particularly good against the spread of late, but I like the Saints to get the win here, covering in the process.

Minnesota Vikings at Las Vegas Raiders

The Minnesota Vikings have a problem at QB, which is perhaps not that surprising after losing Kirk Cousins for the season. Josh Dobbs made a fairy tale start after being brought in at the last minute a few weeks back, but it has been diminishing returns since then, culminating in a loss to the Bears where he threw 4 INTs. Who gets the start this weekend remains a mystery, but that alone has me more than a little nervous about playing the Vikings, The Raiders haven’t been much better, but playing at home against an unsettled Vikings offense might well mean that a slight upset is in the works. I think the Raiders might actually win this one outright.

Denver Broncos at LA Chargers

Just when it looked as though the Denver Broncos season was fading into oblivion, they reeled off 5 straight wins to get back into the playoff picture. That run ended this past weekend with a loss to the Texans, thanks to a late INT that ended a potential game winning drive. The Broncos now have a very tricky trip to LA to face the Chargers, a team coming off a win and clinging to life in the Wild Card race. The Chargers have underwhelmed this season, but there are some trends that make them an interesting betting proposition against the spread. They are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games played in the month od December, as well as being 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games in Week 14.
