Betting the Seventh Week of the NFL Season
The NFL season is in full swing, and every week brings new moments that change the Super Bowl odds.
Week 7 marks a great time to check in on the current Super Bowl odds, and see which teams are emerging as true contenders.
Writer’s Picks for the Teams that have a Fight for the SB Title
Chiefs Still on Top
The Kansas City Chiefs remain the favorites to win it all, with odds currently sitting at +460.
Kansas City has been as consistent as ever, led by Patrick Mahomes and a strong supporting cast.
Their ability to win close games and adjust to any challenge keeps them at the top of the betting board.
As the Chiefs keep stacking wins, their odds keep getting shorter, making them the team to beat.
The 49ers and Ravens Are Coming On Strong
Not far behind the Chiefs are the San Francisco 49ers, with odds at +630.
The 49ers put up a strong performance in Week 7, securing a big divisional win over the Seahawks.
Brock Purdy has been solid at quarterback, and the defense has been relentless.
With Christian McCaffrey expected back soon, the 49ers are one of the hottest teams in the league.
Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens have also seen a surge in their odds, now listed at +660.
Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense have been lighting it up, currently leading the league in total offense.
Their recent four-game winning streak has propelled them into the mix of serious Super Bowl contenders.
Lions, Bills, and Texans Make Their Case
The Detroit Lions continue to surprise, with Super Bowl odds now at +880.
Detroit’s offense, led by Jared Goff, has been unstoppable, and the defense is playing better than last year.
While the loss of Aidan Hutchinson hurts, the Lions still have enough firepower to be a force in the NFC.
The Buffalo Bills are also back in contention after a tough start to the season.
Their odds are now +950, and Josh Allen has returned to MVP form after leading the Bills to a win over the New York Jets.
The defense has stepped up, making the Bills a strong contender to watch.
The Houston Texans have quickly risen as an underdog story, with odds sitting at +1050.
C.J. Stroud has been sensational, and the return of key offensive weapons like Joe Mixon and Stefon Diggs has helped the Texans maintain their spot atop their division.
Houston’s young roster is showing no fear, making them a team to keep an eye on.
Dark Horses Worth a Look
Several teams stand out as dark horses with solid potential for a Super Bowl run.
The Atlanta Falcons have been heating up, winning three straight, and their odds are now +2600.
If their ground game continues to dominate and Kirk Cousins can manage the offense efficiently, the Falcons could be dangerous in the NFC.
Another interesting dark horse is the Pittsburgh Steelers, who currently have odds at +4400.
Justin Fields has led this team to a 4-2 record by playing efficient football, and the defense is holding opponents to just 14.3 points per game.
If Fields can continue to make key plays, the Steelers could be a tough team to knock out.
The Green Bay Packers are also in the mix, with odds set at +1675.
Jordan Love had a great Week 6 performance, and with a healthy roster around him, the Packers look ready to compete.
If the defense can keep up their play, Green Bay has a shot to make a deep playoff run.
Current Super Bowl Odds
- Kansas City Chiefs: +460
- San Francisco 49ers: +630
- Baltimore Ravens: +660
- Detroit Lions: +880
- Buffalo Bills: +950
- Houston Texans: +1050
- Minnesota Vikings: +1125
- Philadelphia Eagles: +1325
- Green Bay Packers: +1675
With so much movement in the Super Bowl odds, now is the time to assess each team’s progress and potential.
The Chiefs are still the favorites, but other teams like the 49ers, Ravens, and Lions are making a strong push.
Dark horse teams like the Falcons, Steelers, and Packers might be worth keeping an eye on as the season progresses.

How do I bet on the Super Bowl? Let’s Find Out
How to Bet on the Next Super Bowl?
Betting on the Super Bowl is easier than you might think! First, you’ll need to choose a reliable sportsbook.
Once you’ve created an account, navigate to the NFL section to find the Super Bowl betting lines.
You can place a variety of bets, including moneyline bets (picking the outright winner), point spread bets (betting on the margin of victory), and prop bets (wagering on specific events within the game).
Betting Super Bowl
Here are some examples of how you might discuss betting on a hypothetical Super Bowl matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers:
- Moneyline Bet
If you believe the Chiefs will win, you would place a moneyline bet on Kansas City.
The odds might look something like this: Chiefs -150, 49ers +130.
This means you’d need to wager $150 to win $100 on the Chiefs, while a $100 bet on the 49ers would win you $130 if they pull off the upset. - Point Spread Bet
Let’s say the Chiefs are favored by 3 points.
You would bet on whether Kansas City will win by more than 3 points (covering the spread) or if the 49ers will either win outright or lose by less than 3 points.
If the final score is Chiefs 28, 49ers 24, the Chiefs would cover the spread. - Over/Under Bet
The total points for the game might be set at 54.
If you bet the over, you’re wagering that the combined score of both teams will be 55 or higher.
If you bet the under, you’re hoping for a total score of 53 or less. - Prop Bets
You could place prop bets on individual player performances, such as:- Will Patrick Mahomes throw for over 300 yards?
- How many touchdowns will George Kittle score?
- Which team will score first?
- Future Bets
Example: Before the game, you might place a future bet on either team to win the Super Bowl.
If you bet on the Chiefs at +400 and they win, your payout would reflect those odds.
Make sure to check out our NFL News section for updates and expert insights as the game approaches.

2024 NFL season | 104th season of National Football League in the United States
Week 6: Thursday, October 10th – Monday, October 14th, 2024
Betting the Fourth Week of the NFL Season
The first five weeks of the NFL season have come and gone, and there have been a number of interesting results.
Those games have had an impact on the playoff races in each conference, and the odds to win the Super Bowl have been impacted as well.
Now is a perfect time to check out the updated Super Bowl odds, as there is a good chance to find some betting value.
With that in mind, here are some of the current odds to win the Super Bowl, and you will notice that one team remains on top.
Chiefs Keep Winning
The Kansas City Chiefs are sitting at a perfect 5-0 record through five games, and that’s not usually something that they do.
Kansas City just always seems to find a way to win, and they continue to be the clear betting favorite to win the Super Bowl.
The most recent betting odds have the Chiefs sitting at +450 to win the Super Bowl, and those odds continue to shorten with each win.
There has been a slight change in the odds after the Chiefs though, and that is where you will find some value.
Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens are currently sitting at +750 to win the Super Bowl, and that is a team that has been impressive this season.
The San Francisco 49ers have struggled to begin the year, and they are now at +800 to win the Super Bowl.
Things get even tighter after the top three teams, and this is where you will see some serious movement over the next few weeks.
The Detroit Lions are sitting at +1000 to win the Super Bowl, followed by the Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills at +1100.
Here are some other other teams to note:
- Houston Texans +1200
- Philadelphia Eagles +1500
- Dallas Cowboys +2200
- Green Bay Packers +2200
AFC is Top Heavy
Winning the conference is the first goal of every team in the league, but it appears as if the AFC is going to be a four team race.
The Houston Texans are currently in fourth place with odds set at +550, and they are trying to catch the other three powerhouse teams.
As expected, the Kansas City Chiefs are big favorites to win the AFC at +220, and that’s something they continue to do.
The Baltimore Ravens are in the mix at +300, and the Buffalo Bills are trying to keep pace at +425.
Bet on AFC Winner
NFC Race is Tight
The NFC appears to be the much more competitive conference this NFL season, and that will be something to watch throughout the year.
Even though the San Francisco 49ers are still favored to win the NFC at +350, but other teams are gaining on them.
The Detroit Lions (+450) and the Minnesota Vikings (+500) are battling it out in the NFC North Division, and they are going to be making a run in the NFC.
These are the three top contenders to win the NFC, but the Eagles and Cowboys are lurking as well.
Bet on NFC Winner

NFL Super Bowl 57 Lines and Betting Favorites Heading Into Week 7
Previous Betting News
As we’re entering Week 7 of the NFL season, we’ve seen some changes among the favorites to win the Super Bowl. With the Bills knocking the Chiefs off last Sunday, Buffalo has solidified themselves as the favorite to win it all this season. Let’s take a look at the latest Odds to Win the Super Bowl.
Who’s Going to Win It All? | Updated Super Bowl Odds
Buffalo Bills +290
After beating the Kansas City Chiefs in Kansas City on Sunday, the Bills have solidified themselves as not only the favorite to win the AFC, but the favorite to win the Super Bowl. The Bills offense is one of the best in the league, and the defense made some huge plays. Unless Josh Allen gets injured, we look for big things from the Bills.
Philadelphia Eagles +550
The Eagles took it to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. The Eagles have a very good defense, and their offense can beat you on the ground or in the air. Jalen Hurts has a very good offensive line, and a great arsenal of weapons. It’s hard to find a better team in the NFC than the Eagles.
Kansas City Chiefs +800
Even though they lost to the Bills on Sunday, the Chiefs are still one of the top teams in football. Kansas City’s defense always seems to get better as the season progresses, so we look for them to get even better than they already are. The Chiefs do need to find a running game, but other than that, their offense is very good.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +1100
We’re still not sure why the oddsmakers are so in love with the Bucs. Yes, we know that they still have Tom Brady, but Brady hasn’t looked like himself all season. We know he has some good stats, but he hasn’t made the big plays when he needed to. The Tampa Bay defense is good, but not elite like it has been over the past few seasons. We could be wrong, but we just don’t see Tampa Bay getting anything done this season.
Minnesota Vikings +1600
Don’t look now, but the Vikings are one of the favorites to get to the Super Bowl. At 5-1, this team has been one of the big surprises in the league this season. We’ll see if they can continue to play well.
San Francisco 49ers +1700
Unfortunately for the Niners, injuries have taken a huge toll on their defensive unit. With many of their top players out, the Niners have struggled. Even when they get some of those players back, we’re not sure that they should be among the favorites to win it all. We’ll see if Jimmy Garoppolo has enough to lead this team on a playoff run.
Baltimore Ravens +1800
The Ravens have had some bad luck this season. They’ve lost some games they should have won, and they know that. Any time Lamar Jackson is in the game, something good is bound to happen. Even though Baltimore’s defense is in shambles, and they have no top receiving threats, this team always seems to find a way to make a playoff run.

NFL Super Bowl LVI Betting Odds Shifts After Week 7
Previous Betting News
After every week in the National Football League, odds to win the Super Bowl go through massive shifts. After NFL Week 7, Super Bowl odds have pretty much been turned upside down as a 30-to-1 shot is now a second-tier choice, the preseason chalk is becoming a non-entity, and an outright favorite has emerged. Check out the biggest shifts, and most important NFL Super Bowl odds changes.
Updated NFL Biggest Shifts in Odds to Win Super Bowl
Super Bowl 56
After another loss, Kansas City’s Super Bowl odds rise from +700 to +1200
Before the season started oddsmakers made the Kansas City Chiefs the +450 chalk. Since the season started, KC’s odds have steadily risen.
But after a stunning 27-3 loss to the Tennessee Titans, the odds on Patrick Mahomes and his teammates to win Super Bowl 56 blew up from +700 to +1200. The +500 odds change represents a huge move.
Why have Super Bowl handicappers ditched the Chiefs? For weeks, KC backers have held out hope that the Chiefs’ issues were of the mental variety. After all, the team isn’t much different from the one that lost the 2021 Super Bowl to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
But after the Titans loss, those hopes have flown out the window. Kansas City isn’t a good football team.
The problem starts up front where the offensive line doesn’t have it. Then, we can go to Mahomes who has thrown 9 interceptions in just 7 games. Then, we can look to the terrible defense, which can’t stop the pass or the run.
Oh, we can’t let Andy Reid or Eric Bienemy off the hook. The head coach and offensive coordinator are calling bad play after bad play.
So even though KC should beat the New York Giants on Monday, don’t expect anyone to dump dollars on the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl.
Tampa Bay becomes outright favorite at +450
The odds change on Tampa wasn’t significant, only +50, but it led to the Buccaneers becoming the favorite to win the Super Bowl. One of the reasons future bettors are hot on Tampa is because the Bucs have won games while dealing with injuries to their defense.
The belief is that once the Bucs get healthy, they should roll through their competition on their way to a second straight Super Bowl title. Although there’s some reason to believe that happens, there’s also a reason to believe the Buccaneers have looked good beating bad teams.
Tampa’s victory over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 is legit. But the Rams destroyed the Buccaneers.
So if you want to believe a team that has built a 6-1 record with 5 of the wins happening against the Falcons, Patriots, Dolphins, Texans and Bears offers value to at +450, go for it.
Titans drop from +3000 to +1400
After the Tennessee Titans blasted the Kansas City Chiefs, the Nashville based squad went form a 30-to-1 shot to a +1400 choice.
Tennessee isn’t an overlay at 14-to-1. But they are a team to consider backing. Why? Tennessee has a top running back, a future hall of fame player in Derrick Henry.
Teams that can run the football are tough to beat. When a team like the Titans can run the football, they’re doubly tough to beat because Ryan Tannehill is a good quarterback and he’s got weapons.
If you like Tennessee, maybe, wait for NFL Week 8 to finish before taking a stab. The Titans could lose on Sunday versus a hot Indianapolis Colts team. If that happens, Tennessee will offer better odds than the current number.
Patriots dive to +4000 after heading north to +7500 last week
New England’s odds change is difficult to comprehend. The Patriots went from a +7500 choice to a +4000 choice after scoring 54 against the New York Jets.
Yes, you read that right. New England, who is 3-4 on the season, beat the New York Jets and suddenly they’re a viable underdog instead of being a not going to happen longshot.
Just so we’re clear about how ridiculous the odds change is, the Patriots 3 wins have happened agianst the Jets twice and the Houston Texans.
So, no, +4000 are not fair odds. +5000? Maybe. +6000? Yes. But +4000? Not even close.
Bengals fall to mid-chalk status, drop from +7500 to +3300
If the playoffs started today, the Cincinnati Bengals would be the first seed in the AFC. The Bengals are a few lucky bounces away from being undefeated.
So it makes sense why Cincinnati would fall from +7500 to +3300. At the current odds, the Bengals are an overlay.
Joe Burrow and his mates didn’t just beat Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens in NFL Week 7. They destroyed the Ravens 41-17 and they did it on the road.
Cincinnati is for real. The team has come together big time and nobody, no defense in the league, can contain Cincy’s Big 3 of Joe Burrow, Joe Mixon, and Ja’Marr Chase.
Jump on the Bengals if you believe because their odds should continue to fall.

NFL Super Bowl 56 Betting Update After Week 7: Titans Turn Into A Contender
Previous Betting News
After every NFL Week, Super Bowl odds change. After NFL Week 7, odds to win Super Bowl 56 changed big time. The preseason chalk is no longer a favorite. Heck, the preseason chalk isn’t even one of the top six choices. Keep reading for how Kansas City’s loss to Tennessee changed odds to win the Super Bowl.
Updated Super Bowl Odds Heading Into Week 8 of the 2021 Season
Super Bowl LVI
- When: Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022
- Where: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
- TV / Streaming: NBC
Super Bowl LVI Odds
With victory over KC, Tennessee becomes a Super Bowl contender to watch
The Titans dominated the Chiefs 27-3 and oddsmakers took notice.
The Tennessee Titans made the biggest leap from lukewarm choice to possible contender. Odds wise, the Titans still offer a healthy +1400 to win the Super Bowl.
At the number, the Titans are a team to watch because Tennessee beat Kansas City by throwing the football on offense and holding the Chiefs to just 3 points. If the Titans’ defense can continue to play as well as it did against KC, Tennessee should continue to win games.
Bengals and Colts are the top overlays on the board
The Tennessee Titans most definitely offer fair odds to win the Super Bowl. The two teams offering the most overlay odds are the Cincinnati Bengals and the Indianapolis Colts.
Joe Burrow and the Bengals are an overtime loss to Green Bay away from having a 6-1 record. Cincinnati probably should have also beaten the Chicago Bears in Week 2, which means the Bengals could be an undefeated team if not for a couple of hiccups.
On Sunday, Cincy dominated the Baltimore Ravens 41-17 on the road. Burrow to Ja’Marr Chase is already one of the best QB-WR duos in the league. The defense has gelled. Watch out for the Bengals.
The Indianapolis Colts are a ridiculous overlay at +5000. Indianapolis is an overtime loss to Baltimore away from being 4-3 instead of 3-4.
All the Colts did in Week 7 is march into San Francisco and destroy the 49ers 30-18. If you believe in Indianapolis, back them to win the Lombardi Trophy before Sunday’s matchup with the Titans.
A victory over Tennessee will send the Colts’ Super Bowl odds from +5000 to around +3000.
After victories, the Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers still offer overlay odds
It’s rare that the most important game of the week happens on Thursday. But that’s the case in NFL Week 8 because the 6-1 Green Bay Packers take on the 7-0 Arizona Cardinals.
Zona is a big -6 favorite. No matter which team you like to win the Bowl, make sure you lay money down before their gargantuan game on Oct. 28.
If the Cardinals beat the Pack, they could fall to +700 or less. If the Pack beat the Cardinals, they should also fall to +700 or less choice.
Don’t wait. Grab the best Super Bowl 56 odds that you can while teams like Arizona and Green Bay are cold on the board.

Betting the Fourth Week of the NFL Season
The first four weeks of the 2024-25 NFL season have been completed, and it’s been a wild start to the season.
This is a league that always seems to have some parity, but that’s more true this season than ever before.
Betting on the NFL is still the best option when it comes to the sports betting industry, and there are some great ways to wager.
Looking at the future betting odds is always something that stands out, and that is where you can get some great odds.
Every team is still in the hunt for the postseason at this time, but you will see from the updated Super Bowl odds that there are teams separating from the pack.
Writer’s Picks that have a Fight for the Super Bowl Title
Updated Super Bowl Odds
The Kansas City Chiefs have not been a dominant team this season, but they are still sitting with a perfect record.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes continues to do whatever is necessary to help his team win games, and they remain the Super Bowl favorites at +500.
It’s been a strange start to the year for the San Francisco 49ers, but the belief is that they will eventually figure some things out.
San Francisco currently has betting odds set at +650 and that is just ahead of the Baltimore Ravens at +800.
Naturally the odds are going to fall off at a certain point, but there are still plenty of other teams that could be in the mix.
The Buffalo Bills have seen their odds improve to +900, and the Detroit Lions aren’t far behind them at +1000.
Here are some of the other teams and odds to keep an eye on:
- Philadelphia Eagles +1400
- Minnesota Vikings +1400
- Houston Texans +1500
- New York Jets +2000
Top Three AFC Teams
It appears that the AFC is the best conference in football this season, at least if you keep a close eye on the odds to win the Super Bowl.
Getting to the big game is the number one goal for each team, and that will require some tough wins in the postseason.
The odds to win the AFC continue to shift each weekend as well, but there are three teams that appear to have emerged from the pack.
With apologies to the Houston Texans, these three teams are simply better than the other teams.
- Kansas City Chiefs +250
- Baltimore Ravens +350
- Buffalo Bills +400
Bet on AFC Winner
Three NFC Teams to Watch
The battle to win the NFC is going to be extremely interesting as three of the four divisions appear to be up for grabs.
There is going to be a lot of movement over the next 14 weeks of the NFL season, but things will start to shake out at some point.
The San Francisco 49ers are still big betting favorites to win the conference at +300, and that’s something that they have done in two straight years.
The Detroit Lions do appear to be in the mix as well, and their odds at +500 suggest that they could get it done.
Choosing a third top contender is not easy as the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles are both sitting with odds of +650.

There have been a number of surprising results, and that could be something to keep in mind as the year marches along.
Making NFL future bets is always a good option, and picking the Super Bowl winner is a great option to check out.
These odds are going to be changing each week as this is a league in which things can change in a hurry.
Here are the updated Super Bowl odds through the first two weeks of the season.
Writer’s Picks that have a Fight for the Super Bowl Title
Chiefs a Clear Favorite
The Kansas City Chiefs have won two straight Super Bowl titles, and they have a loaded roster that is looking for another title.
Kansas City just picked up a huge win at home against the Cincinnati Bengals, and they just always find a way to win games.
When it comes to the Super Bowl odds, the Kansas City Chiefs are the clear betting favorites at +450, and they continue to separate from the rest of the pack.
Kansas City always seems to turn things up later in the year as well, which is why this 2-0 start is tough for the rest of the league.
Regardless of what happens throughout the rest of the league, you can expect to see the Chiefs as one of the favorites all season long.
Other Top Contenders
If the Kansas City Chiefs are not able to win the Super Bowl this year, there are a handful of other teams to keep an eye on.
The San Francisco 49ers had a bad loss in Week 2, but they are still a team to watch in the NFC.
San Francisco has seen their Super Bowl odds drop a bit since the start of the NFL season, but they are still at +600 to win the title.
The 49ers have been dealing with a number of big injuries, and they should be able to get back on track when healthy.
The Philadelphia Eagles are currently at +900, and they feel like a team that is going to make some noise in the NFC Championship.
In the AFC Championship, the Houston Texans have looked great through two weeks, and their odds are now sitting at +1100.
There are two other teams that you have to consider as top contenders, and they both have odds at +1200.
Those two teams are the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions, and they have had some success in recent years.
Longshots to Watch
Now is the perfect time to try to identify some underdogs that can win the Super Bowl, and that’s when you are going to get the most value as well.
Since some of the better teams in the league have gotten off to a bad start to the year, those Super Bowl odds have dropped in a big way.
The Green Bay Packers are currently sitting at +2200 to win the Super Bowl, and they are a team that is good enough to win the championship.
Now might be a perfect time to jump on the Miami Dolphins as well as their odds are now set at +4000.

Top Two Teams
Regardless of what happens during the first few weeks of the season, you are going to find that there are two teams ahead of the pack.
If you are planning to make a bet on the Super Bowl winner, there are two teams that stand out.
The Kansas City Chiefs are still the favorites to win the Super Bowl, and they are now sitting at +475 to get it done for a third straight year.
Kansas City looked great in the season opener as they beat the Baltimore Ravens, and they are big favorites to win the AFC.
San Francisco is expected to win the NFC this year, and they appear to be the only team on the level of the Chiefs.
The 49ers have dealt with a ton of issues to begin the NFL season, but their Super Bowl odds are sitting at +600.
There will still be some movement in these betting odds throughout the year, but you should always expect these teams to be on top.
Teams Looking to Contend
The betting odds to win the Super Bowl do tend to fall off in a big way after the top two teams, but there are still some great teams in the mix.
Some of these teams actually lost in Week 1, but there is still a ton of time for these teams to get back in the mix.
The Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions are next on the list at +1000, and they are both teams that have had a ton of success in recent years.
These two teams are seen as the biggest challengers to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC, and they are loaded with talent.
When looking at the top teams in the AFC, there are two teams that you should really focus on for the rest of the year.
The Baltimore Ravens have odds set at +1200, while the Houston Texans are next at +1300.
Longshots to Consider
Even though there is a ton of parity in the NFL, there does appear to be a clear gap between the top teams and everyone else.
There are still some other teams that you can’t ignore, especially since we are so early on in the year.
- Dallas Cowboys +1500
- Buffalo Bills +1500
- Miami Dolphins +2000
- Green Bay Packers +3500

Really Early 2025 Super Bowl Odds
The Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl 58 and the team they beat is more of a favorite to win the Super Bowl LIV as the oddsmakers list the Niners as the favorite to hoist the Lombardi Trophy next year.
Minutes after the Chiefs lifted the Lombardi Trophy as winners of Super Bowl LVIII, the MyBookie online sportsbook posted the betting odds for next season’s Super Bowl.
Let’s take a look at the updated Super Bowl odds right after the Super Bowl:
Let’s take a look at some of the updated betting odds for the Super Bowl LIX, with some top picks plus a top underdog:

Early 2025 Super Bowl Picks
Top Pick: Kansas City Chiefs +700
There’s no use going against Patrick Mahomes again . . . ever. Mahomes provided one of the most dominating, exhilarating, amazing performances by a quarterback, by any player, in the history of the Super Bowl to rally the Chiefs to an incredible overtime win over the 49ers.
As long as Patrick calls Kansas City home, the Chiefs are going to be Super Bowl challengers. That’s all there is to it. In this day and age of parity, KC is proving that a dynasty can exist. Don’t be surprised when the Chiefs score their third SB in a row.

Second Choice: San Francisco 49ers +550
Brock Purdy proved he’s as legit as it gets on the big stage. But Purdy couldn’t do it all by himself. Not only that, once again, Kyle Shanahan appeared to start calling bad plays.
Shanny did it when he was the offensive coordinator with the Falcons. He did it again in 2020. The 49ers should have rushed the ball on their first possession in the second half. Then Shanny should have handed the ball to Mahomes and the Chiefs first in overtime.
In any case, the SF head coach will assess his performance and make necessary changes. Niners win the NFC again and, again, fall to Mahomes and the Chiefs in the SB.
Super Bowl LIX
NFL Top Second Choice Pick: San Francisco 49ers +550 | Odds for Super Bowl
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Third Choice: Detroit Lions +1200
Dan Campbell is a great head coach, but he must dial it back if the Lions are to take the next step. The team is talented enough for sure. The issue is Campbell always rolls the dice. Always.
Sometimes, you come up seven on the first roll. Other times, you crap out on the second roll. Campbell kept crapping out in the playoffs. If Campbell changes his style, not really change, just tweaks it, the Lions can overtake the Niners.

NFL Top Third Choice Pick: Detroit Lions +1200 | Odds for Super Bowl
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Top Underdog Choice: Green Bay Packers +2200
Green Bay is a player or two away from challenging the 49ers in the NFC and possibly beating the Chiefs or Bills in the Super Bowl.
Jordan Love is already one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL. The offense rolls when Aaron Jones is healthy. A full season from Christian Watson will help. If the defense improves, watch out.

Updated Super Bowl Odds before 2024 Conference Championships
Previous Betting News
The National Football League is down to four teams remaining. We have the AFC Championship game set to take place in Baltimore, and the NFC title game will go to San Francisco. The winners on Sunday will meet in the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.
Let’s take a look at the updated Super Bowl odds before Conference Championships:
Updated Super Bowl Odds before 2024 Conference Championships | MyBookie NFL Playoff Preview
2023-24 NFL | 104th season of the National Football League
NFL Conference Championships: Sunday, January 28th, 2024
San Francisco 49ers +145
The 49ers needed the entire game to take down the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round. The top seed used 10 fourth quarter points to seal the deal. Christian McCaffrey continued his assault on opposing defenses with two touchdown runs. Brock Purdy was fine for the 49ers, and is in the NFC title game much like a season ago. This time, the 49ers will get the game at home.
San Francisco lost their final two regular season games at home, but before that had just one loss; to the Bengals this season at home. The 49ers get the Lions in the title game, and will have to slow down a team that has continued to get better all season. San Francisco is the biggest favorite remaining, despite losing head to head to the Ravens a month ago. The 49ers are listed at +145 to win it all.
Super Bowl Odds: San Francisco 49ers +145 | Bet Super Bowl Odds
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Baltimore Ravens +200
The divisional game against the Texans was 10-10. That’s when the Ravens decided enough was enough, scoring 24 straight points to blow the game open. Lamar Jackson, who many project as the Most Valuable Player of the regular season was fantastic again. The quarterback threw for just 152 yards in the game, but he rushed 11 times for 100 yards, and two touchdowns. There is a chance Mark Andrews will return for the AFC title game, which would be a massive target back in the lineup for Jackson and the Ravens offense.
Baltimore was the AFC North divisional champion, and now gets a home game for a chance to get to the Super Bowl. The Ravens fell in their final home game of the regular season to Pittsburgh, but that was without all their starters. Before that, Baltimore had won six straight overall. The Ravens will get the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs in an effort to get to Las Vegas. Baltimore is listed at 2/1 odds to win the Super Bowl.
Super Bowl Odds: Baltimore Ravens +200 | Bet Super Bowl Odds
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Kansas City Chiefs +350
There were narratives about Patrick Mahomes and his opportunity to play his first road playoff game, and the answer came. Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs looked terrific. The Chiefs took down Buffalo on the road, and are back in the AFC title game. Mahomes and the defending Super Bowl Champion Chiefs are now underdogs when they go to Baltimore with a trip to Las Vegas on the line. In the win, Mahomes and Travis Kelce set the record for most touchdowns by a quarterback/receiver duo in postseason history. They recorded two in this game, and now have 16 in their career.
Mahomes finished the game with 215 yards and 2 touchdowns, but threw it just 23 times. Kansas City has done a good job of getting Isiah Pacheco involved with the offense. He ran the ball 15 times in this gone for 96 yards and a touchdown as well. Kansas City won the AFC West with their 11 wins in the regular season. The Chiefs are third in betting odds, and have +350 odds.
Super Bowl Odds: Kansas City Chiefs +350 | Bet Super Bowl Odds
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Detroit Lions +750
The biggest surprise left in the postseason is the Detroit Lions. They are the biggest underdogs as well. The Lions start the week at +750 to win the Super Bowl. The state of Michigan has run hot in football, with Michigan winning the title, and now the Lions looking to get to the Super Bowl. The Lions have beat the Rams and Buccaneers in the postseason. In both those games, the offense was solid, averaging 27.5 points per game. In the win on Sunday, Jared Goff threw the football 43 times for 287 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta are the top targets, and finished with a combined 17 receptions and over 130 yards via the air. David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs handle the running back duties for Detroit. This is a well rounded team, but now will have to go on the road. Goff has always had different numbers on the road than he does at home. He will look to shake that when they play in San Francisco on Sunday.

Super Bowl History
One of these four teams will win Super Bowl LVIII. A season ago, we saw a thriller, as the Kansas City Chiefs won their third Super Bowl in team history 35-32 over the Philadelphia Eagles. Kansas City has won the last two Super Bowl’s for AFC teams. Before that, the Rams beat the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI and the Buccaneers took down the Chiefs in 2020.
The Detroit Lions have never been in a Super Bowl in team history. The city will certainly be on edge this week as they are big underdogs at San Francisco. The 49ers reached the Super Bowl in 2020 when they lost to the Chiefs. Overall, the 49ers are 5-2 in Super Bowl history. For the Baltimore Ravens, they have not been in the big game since 2013. In Super Bowl XLVII, the Ravens beat the 49ers 34-31 in New Orleans.
Heading into the Conference finals, Lamar Jackson is the leader for Super Bowl MVP. Jackson is listed at +220. Brock Purdy is next at +330, while Christian McCaffrey comes in at +350. Patrick Mahomes is fourth with odds at +380.

Updated Super Bowl Odds before 2024 Divisional Round
Previous Betting News
Well, the National Football League is down to 8 teams remaining. It was a fun weekend of wildcard action. Now, we move to the divisional round.
Let’s take a look at the updated Super Bowl odds heading into Divisional Round weekend:
Updated Super Bowl Odds before 2024 Divisional Round | MyBookie NFL Playoff Preview
2023-24 NFL | 104th season of the National Football League
NFL Divisional Round: Saturday, January 20th – Sunday, January 21st, 2024
San Francisco 49ers +175
The 49ers will get the Packers in the next round. Fortunately for them, they are at home. The bye week was to get Christian McCaffrey and the others on the 49ers a chance to rest and get healthy for the stretch run. The 49ers were the most dominant team in the NFC during the regular season. To win the Super Bowl would have to go through Baltimore, if they get there, and that’s a team that beat them during the regular season. The 49ers are slightly under 2/1 odds to take down the Super Bowl in February.

Baltimore Ravens +290
Lamar Jackson and his Baltimore Ravens got the week off, and are ready to roll. Two home games is what it takes from here for the Ravens to get to Las Vegas. Mark Andrews appears to be back for the Ravens, which is a massive help for the offense. Baltimore can run the football, throw the football, and have a solid defense. This was the best team during the regular season, which includes a late season win on the road at San Francisco. The Ravens start the divisional round at just slightly under 3/1 odds to win the Super Bowl.

Buffalo Bills +500
Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills have won six straight games. The Bills got off to a quick start in the win over Pittsburgh. Now, Buffalo gets a chance to take on Kansas City, but this time it will be held in Orchard Park. The Bills defense looked solid throughout the game against Pittsburgh, and they seem to be shoring up some of the early season holes. This is a team that was 6-6 just two months ago. Buffalo comes into the divisional round as favorites in their game, but listed at 5/1 odds to win it all.

Kansas City Chiefs +700
The Kansas City Chiefs will play their first ever divisional round game on the road with Patrick Mahomes at quarterback. The Chiefs have either been at home or in the Super Bowl for all 15 of his postseason starts. Kansas City took down Miami in the opening round. The win was solid, but not dominant. The Chiefs will need to play some of their best football if they want to be able to advance to the AFC title game round. Kansas City would need a win, and a Houston win to host the AFC title game at Arrowhead. The Chiefs are 7/1 odds.

Detroit Lions +900
Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions did it. They finally won a playoff game. Jared Goff was super, the defense held tight late, and the fans were outstanding. Now, this win, coupled with the Dallas loss means the Lions are going to host for the second straight week. We have all heard the talk about how much better Jared Goff is at home than on the road. That’s a good sign as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers come to town. The Lions were glad to get their tight end Sam LaPorta into the game as there were questions on whether he would play or not. The Lions come into the divisional round listed at 9/1 odds.
Super Bowl Odds: Detroit Lions +900 | Bet Super Bowl Odds
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Green Bay Packers +2200
Matt LaFluer could not have drawn up the wildcard round win any better. The Packers dominated from start to finish, and are now a win away from the NFC title game. Jordan Love was tremendous, and Aaron Jones is playing some of his best football of his life at the running back position. Green Bay kept the Cowboys frustrated all game. The Packers will need to use much of that same recipe for when they go to San Francisco on Saturday. Green Bay is a massive underdog, but as the last time into the postseason out of the NFC, there is no surprise they are underdogs.
Super Bowl Odds: Green Bay Packers +2200 | Bet Super Bowl Odds
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +2500
Baker Mayfield used different weapons and frustrated the Philadelphia Eagles all night. The Buccaneers defense got after Jalen Hurts, and took advantage of the Eagles who did not have AJ Brown playing in the game. It was a monster win for Tampa Bay, who just barely got into the postseason via tiebreaker in the NFC South. Now, the Buccaneers will face a monster test, as they go on the road to Detroit. The Lions beat the Buccaneers earlier in the season, but many things have changed since that tilt. Tampa Bay is one of the biggest underdogs remaining in the postseason. The Buccaneers path to hosting the NFC title game is a win, and a Green Bay win over San Francisco. Tampa Bay is listed at 25/1 odds.
Super Bowl Odds: Tampa Bay Buccaneers +2500 | Bet Super Bowl Odds
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Houston Texans +2500
The talk of the town is the rookie quarterback CJ Stroud. Between him and a first year head coach in Demeco Ryans, this is an impressive team. Stroud was brilliant in the win over Cleveland. The Texans were thankful to be playing at home, and also have their signal caller back. When they played at Christmas, it was not Stroud under center for Houston. Now, the Texans will face the challenge of going on the road to Baltimore. Can the Texans take advantage of a potential rust factor for Baltimore? The Texans are the lone AFC team that cannot host the AFC title game. Houston is listed at 25/1.

NFL Super Bowl 57 Odds Favorites and Betting Update for Week 6
Previous Betting News
Believe it or not, but we’ve already completed five weeks of the 2022-23 NFL season! Heading into Week 6, we’ve seen some changes among the teams with the best odds to win the Super Bowl. While Buffalo has held strong atop the oddsmaker’s boards, we’ve seen some movement below them. Let’s take a look at the most updated set of Odds to Win the Super Bowl this season.
Updated Odds to Win the Super Bowl LVII After Week 5 of the 2022 NFL Season
Buffalo Bills +400
After they destroyed the Pittsburgh Steelers last weekend, Buffalo remains firm atop the oddsmaker’s boards. Josh Allen is having an MVP season, and the Bills look solid on both sides of the ball. We’ll see how good they truly are, as they’ll have a date with the Kansas City Chiefs next weekend.
Kansas City Chiefs +800
After overcoming a 17-point deficit and beating the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night, the Chiefs are looking forward to their showdown with the Bills. Patrick Mahomes threw four touchdown passes to Travis Kelce, showing that the Chiefs don’t need Tyreek Hill to be successful. We’ll see how good the Chiefs defense is against the Bills.
Philadelphia Eagles +850
The Eagles are the only undefeated team left in the league. Jalen Hurts has done a great job of running the offense. Devonta Smith and AJ Brown are one of the league’s best-receiving duos. The Eagles have a great offensive line, and their defense is one of the best in the league. Unless something drastically changes, the Eagles are the best team in the NFC.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +900
The oddsmakers just can’t go against Tom Brady. While the Buccaneers have looked lackluster most of the season, they still have the third-best odds to win the Super Bowl. Father Time is undefeated, and he seems to finally be catching up to Brady. We’ll see how the rest of the season unfolds.
Green Bay Packers +1000
Even after losing to the New York Giants in London last week, the oddsmakers still think Aaron Rodgers can lead this team to a Super Bowl. With a receiving corps consisting of two rookies, Allen Lazard, and Randall Cobb, we’ll see how good Rodgers still is this season. Green Bay’s defense is really good, and that could be the main reason they’re still this high on the boards.
Los Angeles Rams +1400
The Rams just don’t look the same. The offensive line is a mess, they can’t run the ball, and Matthew Stafford looks like his shoulder is bothering him. However, the oddsmakers still have faith in the Rams and their defense led by Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey. We’ll see if they’re right.
Baltimore Ravens +1600
Even though their defense is having injury issues, the Ravens are still one of the top teams in the league. Lamar Jackson could be the most dynamic player in the NFL. He’s the hardest player to prepare for. Now that JK Dobbins is healthy and adding another facet to the offense, the Ravens should be even harder to stop. With Mark Andrews being one of the best tight ends in the league, the Ravens can beat you in so many ways.

NFL Super Bowl LVI Betting Odds Shifts After Week 6
Previous Betting News
After every week in the NFL, odds to win the 2022 Super Bowl change. Heading into NFL Week 7, a few dramatic changes occurred, including a preseason favorite falling to second choice and a team that many felt had no shot at the Lombardi Trophy before the season started, breaking under the +1000 mark. Check out this week’s most extensive Super Bowl odds shifts.
The Biggest Shifts in NFL Odds to Win Super Bowl 56
Super Bowl LVI
- When: Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022
- Where: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
- TV / Streaming: NBC
Super Bowl LVI Odds
Raiders and Broncos make the biggest odds shift
Las Vegas was a +6600 choice last week. This week, the Raiders are at +4500. The Broncos went from +5000 to +10000.
Why such dramatic odds shifts? The Raiders and Broncos played each other last Sunday. Although many felt Las Vegas might give up, the Raiders proved they are more than just former coach Jon Gruden’s pet project.
Las Vegas dominated Denver 34-24. The Raiders are 4-2 and in a tie with the rival Chargers atop the AFC West. The Broncos lost their third in a row to fall to 3-3.
Kansas City Chiefs had the most important odds shift
The Chiefs were at +450 and a co-favorite with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before their week 5 loss to Buffalo. After the loss, the Chiefs odds flew to +700.
KC bounced back in NFL Week 6 with a nice 31-13 win against the Washington Commanders. But although Kansas City impressed, their odds remained at +700. Technically, the odds shift didn’t happen this week. It happened late last week.
Will KC remain at +700? That’s not likely. If Kansas City beats and covers against the Titans in a Sunday road game, their odds figure to fall to +500 or, maybe, +550.
If the Titans upset the Chiefs, Kansas City’s odds will go up to around +900 while Tennessee’s odds should plummet to +1200 or so.
After a big loss, the Bolts offer real value
After an awful 34-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, the Los Angeles Chargers went from +1600 to +2200. At +1600, LAC was an underlay.
At +2200, the Bolts might be an overlay. The Chargers are in first place in the AFC West. They’ve got quality wins against the Raiders, the Chiefs, and the Cleveland Browns.
The two losses happened versus a couple of 5-1 teams, the Ravens and the Cowboys. This week, the Bolts are the top overlay play on the board.
NFL handicappers cold for the 49ers and Seahawks
The 49ers rose from +3300 to +4000. The Seahawks rose from +6000 to +10000.
Russell Wilson is out for the next six weeks or so. Without Russell, the Seahawks will be hard-pressed to beat the Saints on Monday night, the Packers on Nov. 14 and the Cardinals on Nov. 21.
Even if Seattle beats the Jaguars in NFL Week 8, they’d be 3-7 after losing to the Cardinals on the 21st.
San Francisco faces a make or break game on Sunday. The 49ers host the Indianapolis Colts. If SF drops the game, they will go to 2-4 and have almost zero chance of catching the Rams or Cardinals in the division.
Should that happen, the odds on the Niners to win the Super Bowl would jump to over +6000.
Super Bowl future bettors are hot for the Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys
Cards went from +1200 to +900. Boys went from +1400 to +1200. Neither is a massive change in odds, but it does tell us that NFL future handicappers have begun to take notice.
Arizona is not only a +900 choice to win the Super Bowl. This Sunday, they’re -17 against the spread versus the Houston Texans.
The Cardinals dominated the Cleveland Browns in their last. After they blowout the Texans on Sunday, their odds will fall to +700, or, maybe, even +550.
Dallas is off. So the Cowboys’ odds shouldn’t change much by next week.

NFL Super Bowl 56 Betting Update After Week 6: Chiefs’ Odds Rise
Previous Betting News
Updated Super Bowl odds are out. Even though the Chiefs got back on the winning track versus the Washington Football Team, Kansas City’s odds rose significantly from what they were a week or so ago. The Bills fell to the Titans this past Monday night, but maintain their favoritism. So did the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are looking more and more like the team to beat. Keep reading for a deeper dive into this week’s Super Bowl 56 odds so you can continue planning your bets against the Super Bowl odds.
Updated Super Bowl Odds Heading Into Week 7 of the 2021 Season
Super Bowl LVI
- When: Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022
- Where: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
- TV / Streaming: NBC
Super Bowl LVI Odds
KC’s odds rise to +700
Kansas City blasted the Commanders 31-13. But the win wasn’t good enough to maintain KC’s Super Bowl odds at +450 to +500.
Say what you will about who the Chiefs beat this past Sunday, but the truth is that KC held a decent, sometimes high-scoring team to zero points in the second-half. That had to impress Super Bowl future handicappers.
If Kansas City’s defense continues to play well, KC’s odds will fall way below the current +700. So the key in regards to KC is whether or not you believe the defense has legs.
If you believe it does, jump on the +700. Great teams require a single big win to get on a roll. The Chiefs could be on the cusp of a major winning streak.
Buccaneers and Bills co-favorites at +500
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills are both at +500. Both should continue to show the way on the odds board.
The Buccaneers have one of the easiest schedules in the league. Not only that, but Tampa is winning with a banged up defense. Once Tampa’s D gets healthy, they could be even more difficult to beat than they are now.
The Bills probably should have beaten the Tennessee Titans in NFL Week 6’s Monday Night game. The Titans stopped Buffalo twice from rushing the football over the goal line.
A different call could have led to a touchdown. So we can’t downgrade the Bills, either. At +500, both Buffalo and Tampa offer fair odds.
Cardinals drop to +900 and Cowboys are at +1200
At +900, Arizona might be an overlay. Zona remained undefeated by upsetting the Browns in Cleveland.
It’s not that Arizona won the game. It’s the way in which they won. The Cards decimated the Browns 37-14.
Arizona held Cleveland’s rushing attack to 73 yards. Baker threw one of his worst games of the season when tossing a pick and completing 19-of-28.
The Browns vaunted defense had no answer for the Cardinals top-ranked offense. The victory sent Zona from +1200 to +900.
At 9-to-1, Arizona is an overlay. So far, no team has shown themselves capable of stopping Kyler Murray and the offense. The defense has become one of the top units in the league.
Another team offering overlay Super Bowl LVI odds are the Dallas Cowboys. While Arizona put a beating onto the Cleveland Browns, Dallas required Dak Prescott to provide some magic against the New England Patriots.
Dak threw for 445 yards and 3 TDs. The final touchdown pass came in overtime, sealing Dallas’ 35-29 victory. Dallas has covered in every game this season.
The Cowboys’ Super Bowl 56 odds don’t correctly reflect Dallas’ chances of winning the Lombardi Trophy. Teams that not only win but also cover when winning do well in the playoffs.
At worst, the Cowboys should be a +1000 choice. The Cardinals odds should be no better than +700. So both Zona and Big D offer overlay odds.

Super Bowl Contenders or Pretenders Entering Week 6
Previous Betting News
There are four unbeaten teams left in the NFL entering Week 6: The Seattle Seahawks (5-0) and Green Bay Packers (4-0) in the NFC and, in a bit of a surprise, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans (4-0) in the AFC. Are they Super Bowl contenders or pretenders?
Super Bowl Contenders or Pretenders | 2020 MLB Expert Analysis
Mybookie.ag doesn’t rank any of them as the betting favorites as the one-loss defending champion Kansas City Chiefs are still atop the NFL oddsboard at +400.
With Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs are obviously contenders. In Sunday’s home upset loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, Mahomes had his 20th career game already with at least 300 passing yards. Mahomes became the fourth quarterback with 20 games with at least 300 passing yards in his first four seasons in NFL history, joining Pro Football Hall of Famers Kurt Warner (26 games) and Dan Marino (22), as well as Andrew Luck (21). Mahomes is almost sure to break Warner’s record later this year barring injury.
The Baltimore Ravens also are obvious contenders and the +500 second-favorites. They lead the NFL in point differential and their only loss was a few weeks ago in Kansas City.
Baltimore’s AFC North is the best division in football with the Steelers at 4-0 and the Cleveland Browns at 4-1. Since realignment in 2002, the NFL only three times has seen a division with three-or-more teams with at least four wins after five weeks. It last happened in the NFC East in 2008.
Pittsburgh is +1200 on the Super Bowl odds and a contender. Pittsburgh is coming off its highest-scoring game in nearly two years, a 38-29 win over the Eagles in Week 5. In that, receiver Chase Claypool became the first rookie in NFL history to score three receiving touchdowns and one rushing touchdown in the same game. Claypool leads all rookies with five touchdowns (four receiving, one rushing) in 2020.
We think the Browns are pretenders with their odds at +3000 to win the Super Bowl – Cleveland is one of four active franchises to never play in that game. The Browns should finally reach the playoffs, though. They are off to their best start since 1994 and have scored 30-or-more points in four consecutive contests, its longest streak since a seven-game stretch in 1968. Cleveland also leads the AFC with 19 total touchdowns.
Seattle is +650 to win the Super Bowl and Green Bay +800 and both are legitimate contenders. Both offenses are spectacular behind MVP candidates Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers. The Packers are averaging a league-high 38 points. Rodgers, with a 128.4 passer rating, ranks just behind Wilson (129.8) for the top spot among qualified passers. The Green Bay QB’s gaudy numbers include a 70.5 completion percentage, 1,214 passing yards and 13 touchdowns without an interception.
Count the NFC East-leading Dallas Cowboys among the pretenders to win Super Bowl 55. They were contenders until losing superstar quarterback Dak Prescott to a season-ending ankle injury in Week 5. Prescott finished his season with 1,856 passing yards. That’s not just by far the most of any quarterback in the NFL this year, it’s an all-time NFL record average of 371.2 yards a game. The previous record was 342.3 yards a game, set by Drew Brees in 2011 and Peyton Manning in 2013.
Now that Andy Dalton, he of the 0-4 all-time playoff record is under center, Dallas is a +4000 longer shot to win the Super Bowl. The Cowboys could still win the NFC East with Dalton as weak as that division is. Dalton is easily one of the best backups in the NFL and one of the best the Cowboys have had in years. The Cowboys are confident Dalton has the arm and veteran NFL IQ to take full advantage of having arguably the best and deepest receiver unit in football.
Another pretender is the Chicago Bears, who are 4-1 but +5000 longer shots for the Super Bowl. The Chicago defense might be good enough to win a Super Bowl, but the offense remains a huge problem. The rushing game particularly. The Bears are the only team with multiple games rushing 16 times or fewer. QB Nick Foles has been a marginal improvement over Mitch Trubisky, and their collective 85.4 passer rating ranks 26th. The Bears average the fifth-fewest yards per pass (6.2) after sitting last in 2019 and 17th in 2018.

Updated Super Bowl Odds: Wild Card Weekend Favorites, Smart Pick, Long Shot | MyBookie NFL Playoff Preview
2023-24 NFL | 104th season of the National Football League
NFL Wild Card: Saturday, January 6th – Sunday, January 7th, 2024
The National Football League has come to an end for the regular season. Now, we are down to the final 14 teams in the postseason. This weekend is super wildcard weekend. 6 teams will be eliminated, leaving 8 standing.
Let’s take a look at the updated Super Bowl odds heading into Super Wild Card weekend:
San Francisco 49ers +220
The 49ers are the favorites as the postseason starts. Christian McCaffrey did not play in Week 18, along with several other impact players. The 49ers need McCaffrey to rest up and gain health if they want to win two postseason games, and finish their season in Vegas. The 49ers fell a game short last year losing to the Eagles in the NFC title game.
Super Bowl Odds: San Francisco 49ers +220 | Bet Super Bowl Odds
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Baltimore Ravens +310
The Ravens are the favorites in the AFC. Baltimore fell in their Week 18 affair to the Steelers, but they had home field locked up before that. The Ravens have the likely MVP of the league in Lamar Jackson as their signal caller. If they can continue to pound the ball on the ground and play good defense, this is going to be a tough team to beat.

Buffalo Bills +650
The Bills are hot, and have a ton of momentum. The win in Miami on Sunday Night led to an AFC East title, and a home game against Pittsburgh. Josh Allen has been a little reckless at times, but the guy is making the plays when matters most. This is going to be a fun team to follow through the postseason.

Dallas Cowboys +750
Dallas is the second seed in the NFC after winning the East. The Cowboys will start the postseason with a home game against the Packers. They have been great at home, so they will look to continue that and hope for a San Francisco loss in around two. The Cowboys boast one of the best connections with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb.

Kansas City Chiefs +1000
It’s not time to count the defending Super Bowl Champions out. But, the struggles for Patrick Mahomes and his Chiefs have many around the league wondering. Kansas City once again won the AFC West, and will start their postseason run at home against the Miami Dolphins.

Philadelphia Eagles +1600
Nick Siriani and the Eagles have got to figure out why the struggles started, and why they cannot shake them. Philadelphia needed a win in Week 18 and fell to the Giants. Philadelphia dropped to the fifth seed and will be forced to play on the road in the postseason. The Eagles start at Tampa Bay.

Miami Dolphins +1600
No team fell more in the final weeks and still made the postseason than the Miami Dolphins. Miami led the AFC East all season, but then in Week 18 fell on Sunday Night to Buffalo. Tua has struggled of late, especially with injuries slowing his talent down. The Dolphins also hope to get Raheem Mostert back for the first round game at Kansas City.

Detroit Lions +1800
Dan Campbell is going to have his team ready to go for this postseason run. His quarterback Jared Goff gets a game at home against his former team in the Rams. If the Lions win in Week 1 of the postseason, they would likely get a rematch on the road at the Cowboys; a team they felt they beat in December.

Betting on the Favorites to Win Super Bowl 50
Previous Betting News
The matches for the 2015 NFL Divisional Round are set and teams are getting ready for a win or die round, which means that the 8 teams that still stand a shot at lifting the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl 50 will engage in a fierce battle on Saturday and Sunday. You have to say that there is a case to be made for all 8 teams still in the hunt, but for the purposes of this piece, let’s take a look at the 4 teams that hold the best odds to Win Super Bowl:
New England Patriots (+325 Odds to Win Super Bowl 50)
Next Game: Against KC at Home
The New England Patriots were a team on a mission during the regular season, as they did all they could to shut down their critics. They found a way to win in spite of a seemingly endless spate of injuries, and they ended up with the #2 seed in the AFC. They struggled a little down the stretch, but the week off will have given their injured players a little more time to heal. Not sure that the Patriots deserve to be favorites, but then again, how can you ever bet against the Brady/Belichick combo?
Arizona Cardinals (+350 Odds to Win Super Bowl 50)
Next Game: Against Green Bay at Home
This is a team whose fortunes have turned around dramatically with head coach Bruce Arians at the helm. They have been solid defensively for a few years, but the addition of Arians, a former OC, has paid dividends for the offense. The Cardinals are almost impossible to slow down, and opponents are going to have to put some points on the board if they hope to knock them off. That is something that is easier said than done, which explains why the Cards are a 7-point favorite versus the visiting Packers this weekend.
Carolina Panthers (+400 Odds to Win Super Bowl 50)
Next Game: Against Seattle at Home
A vastly improved Panthers team were thoroughly deserving of their 15-1 record this season. While they would have loved to have gone unbeaten, the Week 16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons may actually have taken some of the pressure off. The Panthers will have home field advantage throughout the playoffs, which is big when you consider that they went 8-0 at Bank of America Field this season. This is a balanced team on offense and defense, and it looks as though it’s a pretty tight locker room, too. This is a very scary team, and a very good bet.
Denver Broncos (+450 Odds to Win Super Bowl 50)
Next Game: Against Pittsburgh at Home
The #1 seed in the AFC will have home field advantage all the way to the Super Bowl. They may also have had the luck of the draw this weekend, as they will be facing a Pittsburgh Steelers team that is as banged up on offense as it gets. That’s not to say that their Divisional Game is a gimme, but if they can avoid making mistakes, the Broncos should take another step towards Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, California.
NFL Betting Favorites to Meet In Super Bowl 50
Previous Betting News
When it comes time to place your bets in the Conference Championship Games this weekend, you have to take a moment to separate your head from your heart. There are Super Bowl match-ups that we would love to see, and then there are those that we are actually likely to see. At this stage of the season, the margin between love and like is pretty slim. The bookies know who they think will meet in Super Bowl 50 based on the odds they have posted so let’s take a look at that potential match-up.
Patriots are a 3.5-point Favorite to Win The AFC
There were plenty of people who believed that the toughest playoff test for the Patriots was likely to be the match-up versus the Chiefs in the Divisional Round game. While the 27-20 win for the Patriots made the game look close, the fact of the matter was that they were in total control throughout. New England had struggled a little coming down the stretch in the final few weeks of the regular season, but injuries played a pretty major role in their stumbles. They are now back at close to full strength, and the return of Julian Edelman versus the Chiefs made this team instantly better. He offers a legitimate third down threat, and his 10 catches for 100 yards in the Divisional Game made it clear that he is fully fit and ready to do some damage. There are some concerns in the running game for the Patriots, but with Brady at the helm, that doesn’t seem like such a big deal. I certainly think he is the favorite to win the showdown with Peyton Manning, which is something we will discuss in another article.
Panthers are 3-point Favorites to Win the NFC
If we are being honest, we have all been sitting waiting for the Panthers bubble to burst this season, but after their 31-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks, I think it’s fair to say that this team is for real. They made a very good Seahawks team look very ordinary, especially in the first half when they rolled out to a 31-0 lead. There are some questions about mental toughness and the ability to put games away because of the fact that they allowed Seattle back in, but this was a game that they always seemed to be in control of. They are going to have to tame a very potent Cardinals offense at Bank of America Stadium this weekend, but they have to be considered a favorite to do so since it has now been 12-straight wins on home field for the Panthers.
Who Would Win A Patriots/Panthers Super Bowl Match-Up?
This really would be a fantastic match-up, and one that we would all love to see, but who would come out on top? The Patriots have the Super Bowl pedigree and the better QB/coaching combo, but there just seems to be something magical about the Panthers this year. I think we might well be seeing a Super Bowl parade through the streets of Charlotte if this were the match-up in Super Bowl 50.
Super Bowl 50 Lines Favorites to Win
Previous Betting News
The Super Bowl favorites generally end up being the 4 teams that get the luxury of a bye week while the other 8 are knocking themselves out in Wild Card action. The top 4 teams in the league this season are definitely well deserving of their current odds, and you can make a case for any one of them to go on and lift the Super Bowl 50 trophy in February. Let’s take a look at who we have as the 4 favorites heading into the playoffs.
Carolina Panthers (+350)
The Panthers cruised to a 15-1 record this season, and while they would love to have gone unbeaten, it might actually be a good thing to get that loss out of the way before they postseason begins. Cam Newton is the key to success for the Panthers, as his game has developed to a level that puts him in the elite group of QB’s in the league.
New England Patriots (+350)
The defending champions are once again one of the favorites to win it all this year. There are some injury concerns to deal with this postseason, but Brady and Belicheck always seem to find a way to overcome all sorts of adversity. You also cannot discount how badly this team wants to put the whole Deflategate thing to bed by winning the Super Bowl in a “legitimate” way.
Arizona Cardinals (+350)
Injuries killed any chance of the Cardinals having a Super Bowl run last season, but they are back better than ever this time around. While last season’s group was built on defense, this one is all about the offensive fireworks. This is a very difficult teams to slow down, and with at least one game at home, the chances of them moving onto the Conference Final are pretty good.
Denver Broncos (+450)
It’s not really a surprise to see the Broncos listed as one of the favorites to win Super Bowl 50, but how they got to that point is more than a little surprising. Peyton Manning struggled badly in the early part of the season, and when he went down with an injury, there were legitimate questions as to whether or not Brock Osweiler could lead this team to glory. The back-up performed admirably, but it was the defense that has to get the majority of the credit for this season. Manning is back now, but it’s that D that will ride these Broncos to the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl LVIII | 58th edition of the NFL American football championship game
NFL Regular Week Week 18 | Saturday, January 6th – Sunday, January 7th, 2024
As we head into Week 18, we have the top seeds set in both the AFC and NFC. That team will get a bye in the first round, and automatically be into the round of 8 in the NFL Postseason.
They will also get home field advantage for the next two rounds, leading to the Super Bowl. That’s a big deal for both teams. That is reflected in the Super Bowl Odds.
Let’s take a look at the up to the moment Super Bowl lines as we head into Week 18:
San Francisco 49ers +220
The 49ers, a week after getting beat at home by the Ravens, took care of business on the road at Washington. The biggest issue heading into Week 18 is the health of Christian McCaffrey. Thankfully for them, they will need him in Week 18, and will have a week off before the postseason. Two straight weeks without game action should get him back in playing condition, as they will await their postseason opponent. Regardless of who their first opponent is – they will be forced to play in San Francisco.
Super Bowl Pick: San Francisco 49ers Lines +220
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Baltimore Ravens +300
Baltimore continues to impress. A week after smacking the 49ers on the road, Baltimore came home and boat raced the Miami Dolphins. Lamar Jackson looks like the Most Valuable Player for 2023. Now, the Ravens will essentially get two weeks off. They are not going to be overly concerned about their Week 18 game against the Steelers, and they will get round 1 off in the postseason. Can the Ravens continue to pound the ball on the ground, and when open go over the top and burn opposing defenses? We will find out!
Super Bowl Pick: Baltimore Ravens Lines +300
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Buffalo Bills +800
The Buffalo Bills are red hot right now. Buffalo came away with another win, getting revenge on New England, who beat them earlier in the season. Now, the Bills have a big one. This is such a wide range of outcomes. The Bills are 8/1 odds, but with a loss this weekend could be out of the postseason race. A win would mean the AFC East title, and the second seed in the postseason. Josh Allen and the Bills have found their stride, so if they get in, are going to continue to be a very dangerous team, and tough to eliminate.
Super Bowl Pick: Buffalo Bills Lines +800
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Dallas Cowboys +850
Dallas sneaked by with a home over Detroit. The win became massive, as the Eagles lost to the Cardinals, giving the Cowboys back the top spot in the NFC East. That means the 2 seed, and a first round home game. Dak Prescott and the Cowboys have yet to lose at home. Dallas comes in at +850, and the second best betting odds out of the NFC. It will be interesting to see how they perform in postseason play. First, a win over the Commanders is needed to keep the 2 seed.
Super Bowl Pick: Dallas Cowboys Lines +850
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Kansas City Chiefs +950
The defending Super Bowl Champions have looked poor at times, but here we are – heading into Week 18 and the Chiefs are back in the postseason as AFC West Champions. Kansas City has yet to find the Mahomes to Kelce magic that previous seasons have. The Chiefs will get a first round postseason game. At nearly 10/1 odds, an interesting team to bet on, as they know how to win in the postseason.
Super Bowl Pick: Kansas City Chiefs Lines +950
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Philadelphia Eagles +1100
What a bad loss for Nick Siriani, Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles. It knocked them out of the 2 seed, and will force them a trip to the NFC South winner. The Eagles have been playing poor football, and they know it. They will use Week 18 and the practice time before postseason play to fix the many mistakes that have haunted them all season.
Super Bowl Pick: Philadelphia Eagles Lines +1100
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Miami Dolphins +1300
The Dolphins are a talented team, but on the verge of potentially losing a spot they held all season long. The AFC East lead. The Dolphins lost to the Bills in the first meeting, and the re-match on Sunday night is for the divisional crowd. A win would be 12 on the season for Miami, and the 2 seed in the postseason. A loss would drop them to a road game, something they have not been strong at in 2023.
Super Bowl Pick: Miami Dolphins Lines +1300

NFL Regular Week | Thursday, November 23rd – Monday, November 27th, 2023
We are Thanksgiving Week in the National Football League. This is the week that really starts to pick up steam when talking about reaching the postseason. Many can start clinching their sports over the next couple games, and others are getting eliminated and looking ahead to next season.
Let’s take a look at the up to the moment Super Bowl lines, giving a couple favorites, a pair of Smart Bets and two longshots:
NFL Favorites: Philadelphia Eagles
Super Bowl Odds to Win: +450
The defending NFC Champion. The Eagles lines have the best record in the NFL with just the one loss coming to the Jets. Week 11 was a massive week for the Eagles as they beat the Chiefs on Monday Night Football. Philadelphia has a tough finish to their season, but in a great spot to hold off Dallas for the divisional title. This team is talented on both sides of the ball, and do not seem to have many holes.
Super Bowl Pick: Philadelphia Eagles Lines +450
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
NFL Favorites: Kansas City Chiefs
Super Bowl Odds to Win: +450
The Chiefs just are struggling to find a guy that can come through in the passing game. Patrick Mahomes is putting the ball in his receivers hands, and they are going incomplete. That will have to change. The Chiefs lost to the Eagles, but still have a stranglehold on the AFC. Kansas City now needs to look at getting and keeping the best record in the AFC to get home field advantage for the postseason.
Super Bowl Pick: Baltimore Ravens Lines +850
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
NFL Smart Pick: Baltimore Ravens
Super Bowl Odds to Win: +850
Lamar Jackson lost his top weapon in Lamar Jackson, but this team still is legit. They can run the ball. They have receivers that can take the top off the defense, and their defense can defend with the best of them. They also have an experienced, elite kicker and a competitive head coach. This is a smart pick, especially if they can get home field advantage.
Super Bowl Pick: Baltimore Ravens Lines +850
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
NFL Smart Pick: Dallas Cowboys
Super Bowl Odds to Win: +1200
The Cowboys are not going to win their division. But, as a wildcard this is going to be a really dangerous team. The matchups are going to decide much of the NFC. Dallas has been blowing teams out in wins. They have the one bad loss to Arizona, but other than this, this has been a really solid team week in and week out. Taking Dallas at 12/1 odds is a pretty smart pick!
Super Bowl Pick: Dallas Cowboys Lines +1200
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
NFL Longshots Pick: Buffalo Bills
Super Bowl Odds to Win: +2500
Many are counting Josh Allen and his Buffalo Bills out. Maybe they went through the stretch they needed to to get where they needed to. The Bills are not out of the AFC East race, especially if they can complete the sweep over Miami. At 25/1, we have seen worse longshots to win the Super Bowl. Do not sleep on the Buffalo Bills as the season continues forward, and into the postseason.
Super Bowl Pick: Buffalo Bills Lines +2500
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
NFL Longshots Pick: Cleveland Browns
Super Bowl Odds to Win: +4500
This defense is going to allow them to stay in any and every game all season. The Browns have a quarterback issue, and are losing running backs, but have been the defense in the league, and for the most part taking care of the football. This will be a tough team to eliminate, and at 45/1, you just never know.
Super Bowl Pick: Cleveland Browns Lines +4500

NFL Favorites:
These are the biggest favorites, with the lowest odds:
San Francisco 49ers +500
The 49ers put on a clinic going to Jacksonville and pounding the Jaguars in Week 10. The 49ers needed the bye week, and they got it. The 49ers head into Week 10 as the third seed in the NFC, as they look to chase down Detroit for the second seed. The 49ers are +109 on the season, which is the best in the NFC. The 49ers are listed at +500 to win the Super Bowl.
NFL Smart Pick: Bet 49ers to Win Super Bowl
MyBookie Betting Lines for the championship game
Kansas City Chiefs +500
The AFC favorite. The Chiefs took their bye week, and will get ready for some big games coming up. Regardless, the Chiefs are heading back to the postseason. Kansas City is not finding much competition when it comes to their division. The Raiders are 5-5 and the Chargers are 4-5. In the AFC though, they are going to be in quite a fight for the top seed. As we enter Week 11, they are ½ game ahead of Baltimore, who is 7-2.
NFL Smart Pick: Bet Chiefs to Win Super Bowl
MyBookie Betting Lines for the championship game
Philadelphia Eagles +550
Nick Siriani and the Eagles are third on the list, despite being the defending NFC Champions. This is also despite having the best record in all of the NFL. This is a Super Bowl rematch when they take on the Chiefs in Week 11. Jalen Hurts needed the time off, and he got off, and we expect to see a fresh Eagles group in the second half of the season. Philadelphia is listed at +550.
NFL Smart Pick: Bet Eagles to Win Super Bowl
MyBookie Betting Lines for the championship game
NFL Smart Bets:
These are some smart bets in the National Football League, with some fun odds, and a good chance to make noise in the postseason:
Baltimore Ravens +900
Lamar Jackson and the Ravens choked against Cleveland, but this team still shows they are one of the most talented. They can run the football, and play great defense, most of the time. They are in the tough AFC North, but getting through it would be a feather in their cap for a great season.
NFL Smart Pick: Bet Ravens to Win Super Bowl
MyBookie Betting Lines for the championship game
Detroit Lions +1000
Dan Campbell’s team picked up a massive win in Week 10 over the Chargers. The Lions are showing the ability to use a two headed monster to dominate on the ground. This is going to be a tough team to beat in the postseason. Detroit heads into Week 11 as the #2 seed in the NFC, behind only the Eagles.
NFL Smart Pick: Bet Lions to Win Super Bowl
MyBookie Betting Lines for the championship game
Dallas Cowboys +1000
Dak and the Cowboys are second in the NFC East, but third in the NFC. Dallas is coming off another blowout win. On the season, they are +104 in point differential, which only trails the 49ers in the NFC.
NFL Smart Pick: Bet Cowboys to Win Super Bowl
MyBookie Betting Lines for the championship game
NFL Longshots:
These are some longshots, that will likely be in the NFL Postseason:
Miami Dolphins +1100
A really good offensive team, but the biggest question has been their ability to beat good teams. Dolphins will have to beat several good teams in the postseason.
NFL Longshots Pick: Bet Dolphins to Win Super Bowl
MyBookie Betting Lines for the championship game
Cincinnati Bengals +1500
A home loss to the Texans did not help their cause, but Bengals has shown they have the pieces.
NFL Longshots Pick: Bet Bengals to Win Super Bowl

Jacksonville Jaguars +2000
Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars got smacked by the 49ers, but overall are in a great spot, as leaders of the AFC South.

Aaron Rodgers–Davante Adams Duo: Can They Win The 2021 Super Bowl?
Previous Betting News
The best quarterback-receiving duo in NFL history is probably Joe Montana and Jerry Rice, but the best one going right now is clearly Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams. Can that dynamic duo lead Green Bay to its first Super Bowl title since the 2010 season? No question they can, and the NFC top-seeded Packers are +350 second-favorites to win Super Bowl 55 on Feb. 7 in Tampa, behind only the AFC top-seeded Chiefs (+250).
Can that dynamic duo lead Green Bay to Super Bowl ? | 2021 NFL Expert Analysis
Rodgers is the clear betting favorite to win his third career regular-season MVP Award. Rodgers closed the regular season last Sunday in a blowout loss of Chicago – which clinched that top seed for Green Bay – by completing 19 of 24 passes for 240 yards and four touchdowns. It was 14th time this season Rodgers fashioned a passer rating of at least 100, pushing his season passer rating to 121.5 – second only in NFL history to his record-breaking 122.5 back in 2011. Of the 12 best single-season passer ratings of all-time, 8-out-of-12 of those players went on to claim MVP honors their respective years.
Individually, Rodgers established new franchise records in completion percentage (70.7%) and touchdown passes (48), both of which led the NFL this season. At age 37, he had just five interceptions and also rushed for three scores.
Those 48 TD passes tied Rodgers with Pro Football Hall of Famer Dan Marino (48 in 1984) for the fifth-most touchdown passes in a single season in NFL history. Rodgers became the first quarterback in NFL history with a passer rating of 100-or-higher in 14 games within a single season in NFL history. He also had 12 games with at least three touchdown passes this season, tied with Tom Brady (12 games in 2007) for the most such games in a single season in NFL history.
Rodgers tied Sammy Baugh for the most seasons leading the NFL in lowest interception percentage (5; 2009, ’14, ’18-20) and became the first QB to lead the league in three straight years. He also became the first QB since Steve Young in 1992 to lead the league in the four categories of passer rating, TD passes, and completion and INT percentages.
“The MVP should be locked up,” Adams said of Rodgers. “There’s nothing else to really talk about. You look at what we’ve done and what he’s been able to do, and they’ve hit him with everything. Said he didn’t have any weapons, and we go out there and go 13-3 regular season, which isn’t our main goal, obviously, but it’s a hell of an accomplishment, especially when you’re in your second year with a new staff.”
This confident, vintage version of Rodgers has routinely made good defenses look bad and great defenses look mediocre. Remember, the Packers drafted his potential replacement in the first round of the 2020 draft in Utah State QB Jordan Love. Rodgers admitted he wasn’t thrilled with that pick. The Love selection shocked many with Rodgers under contract through 2023.
“General reaction at first was surprise, like many people,” he said. “Not going to say I was thrilled by the pick.” However, he holds no ill will toward Love, saying, “He’s not to blame at all.”
In the Chicago win, Adams caught all six of his targets for 46 yards and a touchdown. Adams didn’t have a big game by his lofty standards, but still tied Packers’ franchise record with 18 touchdown receptions this season, and he also set a new team-best mark with 115 total catches. Those totals came despite Adams missing two games due to injury.
The 18 TDs for the third-most touchdowns by a wide receiver in a single-season in NFL history. Only Hall of Famers Randy Moss (23 touchdowns in 2007) and Jerry Rice (23 touchdowns in 1987) had more.
Adams became the first player in league history with 100-plus receptions and 18 TDs in one season. He also tied the NFL record for games with 10-plus receptions and two-plus TDs in one season with four, matching Cris Carter (1995).
There’s more. Adams tied the franchise mark for games with 100-plus receiving yards and a TD with seven, matching Jordy Nelson (2014). Finally, he had the second-most games in league history with 10-plus receptions, 100-plus yards and a TD with five, behind only the six by Michael Thomas (2019), and the second-most games in team history with multiple TD catches with five, behind only the six by Don Hutson (1942).
Green Bay will not know its opponent in the Divisional Round until perhaps Sunday evening – it will be No. 7 Chicago if the Bears upset the Saints on Sunday afternoon.

Kansas City Chiefs +550
Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Andy Reid and company are ready to run it back. This would be an effort to win their third straight Super Bowl. The Chiefs were amazing a season ago, seeing many bumps in the road, but definitely the best team in the postseason. The overtime win was a classic in the history of the game. Kansas City starts this season as favorites again at +550.

San Francisco 49ers +600
There is no doubt that San Francisco is going to come into the season hungry as ever. That’s twice in three seasons the 49ers got to the Super Bowl, but could not get the job done. Now, the 49ers will fight the hangover, and look to get back to the top of the NFC West. The 49ers still are led by Brock Purdy, a guy that no matter what he does on the field is going to be doubted.

Baltimore Ravens +900
Lamar Jackson still leads the Baltimore Ravens. This is the Most Valuable Player from last season, and he was given some talent around him. One of the notable names that came to the Ravens offense was former Titans running back Derrick Henry. Baltimore would love to keep him on the field, and let him pound the ball down defenders throats. Baltimore is the favorite out of the AFC North, and overall are listed at +900.

Detroit Lions +1200
Jared Goff and company kind of burst onto the scene a season ago. Dan Campbell, as the head coach led the Lions to the NFC title game. Their home field in Detroit has become one of the toughest places in the league to play, especially with the hype the team a season ago put on them. They will be fun to watch again in 2024-2025. The Lions are +1200 to win it all.

Buffalo Bills +1200
Josh Allen is still back as the signal caller for the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo did send his top weapon away to Houston. That does not seem to faze folks around Buffalo. In fact, it was kind of a sigh of relief to eliminate a talent, but a distraction. The Bills know they are the one AFC team that gets a great deal of hype, but have not gotten the big win yet. Buffalo is looking to break through and get to the Super Bowl.

Cincinnati Bengals +1300
Many project a monster season out of Joe Burrow. He was ready to compete a season ago, before getting hurt in training camp. He has weapons, and he has talent. The Bengals are going to be the top threat to compete with the Ravens for the divisional title. Cincinnati comes into the season at 13/1 odds to win the Super Bowl.

Houston Texans +1600
CJ Stroud is going to get looks for the Most Valuable Player in the league this season. It will be just his second season, but his rookie year was a great one. Stroud was given another weapon, as the Texans grabbed Stefon Diggs from the Buffalo Bills. The offense is going to be deadly, and attract plenty of eye balls. Can the young coach put it all together out of a tough AFC? Houston is +16000.

Philadelphia Eagles +1700
Not a great idea to forget about the Philadelphia Eagles quite yet. This is a team that is just a season removed from losing to Kansas City in the Super Bowl. Philadelphia would love to put last season behind them. It was a terrible last half of the season. SaQuon Barkley has moved to Philadelphia, and that is a new dynamic. Philadelphia is just behind Houston in the odds, and listed at +1700 to win it all.

Dallas Cowboys +1700
Does it matter what the roster for the Dallas Cowboys looks like to start the season? This team is always going to be talked about as a chance to win the Super Bowl. Not sure how close or realistic it is, but here we are. Dallas was a loser in free agency, as they really did not go after game changing impact players. It will be interesting to see how this team starts, because a slow start could boil over for the Cowboys in 2024.

A team that many are looking at when they look for value odds to win the Super Bowl is Green Bay. A young, well coached team that is in a division that they have had success in previously. Aaron Jones is gone as the starting running back, but Josh Jacobs is in Green Bay. Jordan Love is back for another season under center. There is a ton to be excited about in Green Bay this season.

NFL Super Bowl 57 Odds Analysis: 2 Underrated Betting Picks, and 3 Underdogs
Previous Betting News
When it comes to Super Bowl betting there are favorites and then there are favorites. The Bills, Chiefs, and Buccaneers are the top three favorites. But although those three teams are the true favorites, any team offering +2000 or less is also a favorite to win the Lombardi Trophy. In that sense, two teams offer higher odds than they should. When it comes to underdog Super Bowl contenders, three teams offer higher odds than they should. Keep reading for two undervalued favorites, and three underdogs that offer overlay Super Bowl Odds.
NFL Two Undervalued Favorites and Three Underdogs With Super Bowl Chances
2022-23 NFL Regular SeasonWhen: Sep. 8, 2022 – Jan. 8, 2023
Two NFL favorites with better Super Bowl chances than their odds
Denver Broncos +1550
After trading for Russell Wilson, the Denver Broncos’ roster became one of the best in the league. Wilson ends up with a team with an excellent offensive line, group of receivers, and terrific defense.
Javonte Williams should emerge as one of this season’s top pass-catching running backs. Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton are both difficult to cover, and Garrett Boles is one of the better left tackles in the NFL.
The defense will be one of the best units in the league. +1550 makes the Broncos an overlay.
Dallas Cowboys +1800
Like Denver, Dallas is an overlay at their current Super Bowl 57 odds. 2021’s NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Micah Parsons leads a D that’s loaded at every level.
Parsons plays behind a defensive line that includes DeMarcus Lawrence and Dante Fowler Jr. Parsons linebacking mate Leighton Vander Esch is as solid as it gets.
The offensive line remains one of the best in football. CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott developed a great rapport last season. The Cowboys have a much better chance of winning the SB than the odds imply.
Three NFL underdogs with better Super Bowl chances than their odds
Las Vegas Raiders +3600
Derek Carr to Davante Adams has the chance to be this season’s best quarterback to wide receiver duo. Carr and Adams played together at Fresno State. The pair have great chemistry.
The Raiders’ offensive line is better than people think. The defense is good. Maxx Crosby is one of the best defensive ends in football. The AFC West is loaded, but the Raiders are good enough to compete for the division title.
Miami Dolphins +3600
The Dolphins had to upgrade their offensive line. In 2021, Tua Tagovailoa had to scramble much too often.
The Fins accomplished their primary offseason goal by signing Saints left tackle Terron Armstead. When Armstead is healthy, he’s one of the best left tackles in football.
Miami also traded for former Kansas City star wideout Tyreek Hill. Playing behind Armstead and throwing to Hill should help Tua perform the best he has as a pro.
The defense was solid last season. Miami’s D shouldn’t fall back in 2022. Miami may not win the AFC East, the Bills are in the East, but the Dolphins are a serious wildcard threat.
New Orleans Saints +3700
New Orleans upgraded both their offense and defense. On offense, the Saints loaded up at wide receiver to give quarterback Jameis Winston plenty of targets.
The Saints drafted former Ohio State player Chris Olave with their first round pick. New Orleans then signed free agent Jarvis Landy. Michael Thomas should be healthy this season and former backup quarterback Taysom Hill will play tight-end.
The defense, like what Miami has, is one of the best in the league. New Orleans not only has a chance for a wildcard, but the Saints’ roster is equal to the Buccaneers’. So the Saints could win the AFC South.

Odds on the Browns and the Packers to win the Lombardi Trophy are rising
It’s subtle and by no means does it mean the Browns or Packers can’t win the Super Bowl, but he odds on both contenders are rising. Cleveland has posted the more pronounced odds rise.
At one point, the Browns were a +1400 choice to win the Lombardi Trophy. After dealing Baker Mayfield to the Panthers, the odds on Cleveland have gone up to +2400 from +2200 a couple of weeks ago.
The odds will significantly rise if the NFL decides to suspend Deshaun Watson for half a season, which is the current rumor regarding Watson’s eligibility. If that happens, Cleveland could approach the +3900 to +4000 territory.
Green Bay’s odds have floated up 10 from +990 to +1000. The Packers remain one of the chalks to win the Lombardi Trophy. But their odds are on an upward trend.
The main reason is that NFL handicappers have begun to realize how thin Green Bays receiving depth is. Aaron Rodgers is a great quarterback. But all quarterbacks require someone to throw the football too and future bettors don’t know who AR’s prime target will be this season.
So far, handicappers aren’t biting on the Dolphins, Saints, Raiders, or Patriots
Miami, New Orleans, Las Vegas, and New England offer overlay odds to win the Super Bowl. All four are playoff contenders.
Among the four, the two teams that offer the highest overlay odds are New Orleans and Las Vegas. The Saints can upset the Buccaneers and win the NFC South. New Orleans is much better this season than they were last season.
The Raiders can upset Kansas City, the L.A. Chargers, and Denver and win the loaded AFC West. Las Vegas was a playoff team last season. The Raiders are better in 2022.
Even with Baker, Carolina remains a massive underdog
The Panthers traded for Baker Mayfield, which is why Carolina’s odds to win the Super Bowl went from +10000 to +9500.
The odds imply the Panthers have no chance. On paper, they don’t. Even if Baker has the best season of his career, Carolina will lose to the Saints and Buccaneers because the defense is a paper tiger.
If you’re looking to back a big time longshot this week, go with the New York Giants. The Giants have a decent offense and the defense should be good. Not just better from last season, but good.
Denver, Kansas City, and the L.A. Chargers are the biggest underlays and the Bengals are the biggest overlay
No AFC West team should offer odds lower than +2000. The reason is because all four AFC West teams can win the division. So the Chargers, Chiefs, Broncos, and Raiders should take turn beating each other.
Cincinnati remains the best overlay pick. The Bengals should win the AFC North. So Cincinnati shouldn’t offer higher odds than Baltimore.
Also, the Bengals are more proven than the Packers, Chargers, Broncos, 49ers, and Cowboys. We hate to sound like a broken record, but if you want to back a legit Super Bowl contender at overlay odds, Cincinnati is the team to back.

Money lands on Bills and Buccaneers
In two weeks, Buffalo went from a +770 favorite to a +610 chalk. Tampa went from a +880 second choice to a +700 second choice.
Of the two teams, Buffalo’s odds make the most sense. The Bills were a Super Bowl contender in 2021. Buffalo improved their defense by signing Von Miller and offense by drafting running back James Cook. Not only that, but the Bills play in a division, the AFC East, that they should win.
The odds on Tampa don’t make as much sense. On paper, the Buccaneers look like the NFC South Division winners. But Tampa must play without tight-end Rob Gronkowski and lost a couple of key offensive lineman.
The defense may not be as effective this season as it was last season, which means if you’re looking to play one of the favorites, go with the Bills.
Green Bay and Kansas City offer under +1000 odds
The odds for both Green Bay and Kansas City are now less than +1000. At the odds, both teams appear to be plays against.
Green Bay won’t start a legit WR1. Packer fans hope Sammy Watkins is the guy, but Sammy has played in the league for a while and he’s never caught more than 65 passes, which he did his rookie season.
The Chiefs can win the Super Bowl. But the odds are too low. The AFC West should be the toughest, deepest division in pro football this season. Kansas City could be the best team and still miss the playoffs if they suffer injuries or the ball doesn’t bounce their way in a few games.
Rams, Chargers, 49ers, Broncos, Ravens, and Cowboys remain second tier choices
LAR, LAC, San Francisco, Denver, Baltimore, and Dallas qualify as second-tier Super Bowl choices. Among the group of six in the second-tier, the Broncos appear best.
Denver traded for former Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson. Russell gets to throw to a very good group of wide receivers led by former Alabama star Jerry Jeudy and underrated Courtland Sutton.
The offensive line is good. So Wilson shouldn’t have to run for his life. If Javonte Williams turned into the running back many expect he will, the Broncos should send one of the more effective offenses to field.
Denver had one of the league’s best defenses last season. If anything, the Broncos’ D should be better in 2022 than it was in 2021.
Cincinnati looks like the top overlay
Cincinnati’s odds have dipped from +2500 to +2000. But even at +2000, the Bengals remain the top overlay to win Super Bowl 57.
Cincy’s defense is very good. But the real reason to love the Bengals to repeat as AFC Champions and to win the Super Bowl is because Cincinnati signed former Houston Texans right tackle La’el Collins.
Collins, who played at LSU like Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, solidifies the right side of the line. The left side is great, which means Joe will have more time to throw the football.
If Cincy had handled the Rams’ pass rush in Super Bowl 56, they probably would have won the Lombardi Trophy. Give Cincinnati a long look to win this season’s Super Bowl.

Last Minute Before The Lines Go Off The Board Super Bowl 55 Odds To Win
Previous Betting News
The 2020 NFL season begins Thursday night – with very limited fans in the stands – as the Kansas City Chiefs host the Houston Texans in the Kickoff Game. Here’s a look at each NFL team’s Mybookie odds to win Super Bowl 55 in Tampa next February – at least it’s scheduled for Feb. 7. Whether that’s doable during a coronavirus pandemic is TBA.
Previous Betting News
Kansas City (+515): No team has repeated as Super Bowl champion since New England in 2004, but the Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes and no one else does.
Baltimore (+600): The Ravens led the NFL with 14 wins last year and enter 2020 on a 12-game regular-season win streak. They also have the reigning NFL MVP in Lamar Jackson.
Tampa Bay (+900): The Bucs won the offseason by getting Tom Brady, Leonard Fournette, Rob Gronkowski and LeSean McCoy.
San Francisco (+1000): For about 3.5 quarters last February, it looked like the Niners were going to beat the Chiefs in Super Bowl 54 before San Francisco fell apart. Very rare to get back to the big game the season after losing it.
New Orleans (+1100): Probably the final season for QB Drew Brees, arguably the NFL’s best ever in the regular season.
Seattle (+1300): Russell Wilson is this writer’s choice to win his first NFL MVP Award this season. He was in the running for much of 2020 before fading a bit at the end.
Dallas (+1400): This writer believes the Cowboys will win the NFC East with their most talented roster in many years.
Buffalo (+2100): Now that Tom Brady is no longer in the AFC East, the Bills will win the division for the first time since 1995.
Pittsburgh (+2200): Will Coach Mike Tomlin be fired if the Steelers miss the playoffs three years in a row?
Philadelphia (+2400): The offensive line already has lost two starters to season-ending injuries.
Minnesota (+2400): The Vikings recently got much better by trading for excellent young Jaguars defensive end Yannick Ngakoue.
Indianapolis (+2400): Colts upgraded at quarterback this offseason with Philip Rivers. The offensive line could be the NFL’s best.
New England (+2500): With Tom Brady gone, now we find out how good a coach Bill Belichick really is.
Tennessee (+3000): The Titans shocked everyone by riding Derrick Henry to the AFC title game last year, but can we really trust QB Ryan Tannehill?
Cleveland (+3500): One of the most talented rosters in the NFL overall, but which Baker Mayfield shows up?
LA Rams (+3500): The Rams no longer remotely resemble the team that reached the Super Bowl two seasons ago.
Green Bay (+3900): Not sure if these odds are accurate considering the Packers reached last year’s NFC title game. They were more lucky than good in 2019 with an 8-1 record in one-score games.
Atlanta (+4200): Dan Quinn could well be the first coach fired this season.
Arizona (+5000): A chic sleeper pick to reach the NFC playoffs with rising star QB Kyler Murray and new WR DeAndre Hopkins.
Denver (+5300): Could be the Arizona version of the AFC as a sleeper playoff pick behind second-year QB Drew Lock.
Las Vegas (+6000): Still feels weird typing Las Vegas and not Oakland.
Houston (+6300): Coach/GM Bill O’Brien made some really puzzling moves this offseason but still at least has Deshaun Watson.
LA Chargers (+6500): How long will Tyrod Taylor start at QB until Coach Anthony Lynn goes with rookie Justin Herbert.
Chicago (+6500): Matt Nagy’s job is on the line with his choice of Mitchell Trubisky as the starting QB.
Detroit (+6500): Matt Patricia could be the first coach fired this year too.
Cincinnati (+13000): The Bengals will be a lot better than last year’s two-win team with Joe Burrow now under center.
Carolina (+14000): This franchise is in full rebuild mode under new coach Matt Rhule.
NY Giants (+14000): It’s going to be another long football season in the New York area.
NY Jets (+14500): Adam Gase could be the first coach fired this year too.
Miami (+15500): The Fins are on the right track but a year from playoff/AFC East contention.
Washington (+21500): This club doesn’t even have a nickname and also no shot at a winning season.
Jacksonville (+23500): The Jaguars say they aren’t tanking. They are with 16 rookies on the roster.

NFL Super Bowl 57 Betting Analysis and Odds Favorites Right Before the 2022 Season Starts
Previous Betting News
As we head into the final week of the preseason, it’s fair to say that my opinion on potential Super Bowl contenders hasn’t changed all that much. Sure, some of the better teams in the league have not looked particularly great, while some of the poorer teams are winning games in the preseason. We all know, though, that wins and losses right now mean nothing and that those good teams will show their true colors once the regular season begins. As the games are played, we will see the odds to win the Super Bowl change, and while some odds changes may go in your favor if you decide to wait before wagering, the fact is that now might be the best odds you get for one of the favorites. Let’s take a look at the current Super Bowl Betting Lines for some of those favorites.
Updated Super Bowl LVII Odds Before 2022 Regular Season Starts | NFL Betting Analysis
Buffalo Bills (+590)
After years of living in the shadow of Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, the Buffalo Bills are now the cream of the AFC East. They won the division last season with an 11-6 record, making it to the playoffs, where they were just 13 seconds away from beating the Kansas City Chiefs and heading to the Conference Championship Game. Their eventual loss on that one definitely left a mark and there is a feeling of unfinished business with this team. The Bills are stacked from top to bottom and are a worth Super Bowl favorite.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+730)
It looked as though the Buccaneers were going to be moving in a different direction this season after Tom Brady announced his retirement and Bruce Arians stepped down as head coach. Brady’s retirement last all of 40 days before he performed a dramatic U-turn. Gronk retiring will hurt, and the mystery of Brady disappearing from training camp for a few days has been an unwelcome distraction. All of that said, we get the sense that this is definitely the last ride for Brady, so don’t put it past him to end his career with another championship.
Kansas City Chiefs (+980)
With Tyreek Hill moving on to pastures new, there are some who think that the Chiefs offense might take a bit of a backward step this season. I, and more importantly, the bookies, don’t seem to agree with that assessment. The Chiefs have made moves to fill the gap left by Hill and you could now say that their receiving group is now a little more well-rounded. Mahomes is going to have an opportunity to spread the wealth with his receivers, which makes this team very dangerous indeed.
LA Rams (+1075)
When a team wins a Super Bowl and doesn’t lose any of their key pieces, they usually head into the next season as the favorite. It’s been a while, though, since we have seen a team repeat, which is a strike against the Rams, plus they have one of the toughest regular season schedules in the league. I still think that the NFC is a but weaker than it was last year, so it would not be a surprise to see the Rams make another deep run in the playoffs.

Updated Super Bowl 57 Odds
Action is hot on the favored Buffalo Bills
Money continues to flow to the Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen and his mates have gone from +610 to +580 a week before their first game. The odds’ movement wouldn’t be significant if the Bills were an underdog.
But at the already low odds, any movement that make the Bills even bigger favorites is a sign Buffalo is legit. Since opening odds for Super Bowl 57 landed, Buffalo has been the chalk.
As we head into the first NFL week, it’s apparent oddsmakers, handicappers, and NFL fans believe the Bills are the team to beat.
Handicappers chilly on the Packers and loving the Rams
Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay are now a co-fourth choice with Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams to win Super Bowl 57.
All preseason, Packer fans had hopes Aaron Rodgers might discover a Davante Adams clone, a player who the two-time defending Super Bowl champ could lean on once the season started. After three games that don’t count, it’s apparent head coach Matt LaFleur is going to have to get super creative for the Packers’ offense to devastate defenses this season the way it did last.
LaFleur has hinted he will throw more to running back Aaron Rodgers. How often does making a dramatic change work? Not often.
The Rams are a co-fourth choice by default. Aaron Donald and Matthew Stafford won the Super Bowl last season. Oddsmakers and NFL SB futures bettors believe the Rams have as much of a shot to win the NFC as almost every other team not named Tampa Bay.
The Bolts are the outright fifth choice followed by the San Francisco 49ers
The Los Angeles Chargers are an outright fifth choice to win Super Bowl 57 followed by the 49ers as the sixth choice. San Francisco has become a lower odds play than both the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos.
The reason is because Jimmy Garoppolo, after a drama filled offseason, decided to stick with the Niners for one more go around. Jimmy G. restructured his contract. If things don’t work out with Trey Lance under center, future bettors know the 49ers can turn to a QB who has already taken SF to the Super Bowl.
Monday lands on the Vikings and Saints
Minnesota and New Orleans are at +3700 after opening training camp at +4000 to +4200. Both teams appear set for excellent seasons.
The Vikings will lean on one of the top offenses in the league. The Saints will lean on of the NFL’s top defenses. Of the two teams, New Orleans is more attractive.
In addition to their fantastic defense, the Saints could also send out a high-scoring offense. If quarterback Jameis Winston and his wide receivers get it together, New Orleans will be a tough out for any team.
Jaguars represent the best super dog overlay while the Bengals, Broncos, and Cowboys are overlays with a chance
The Jaguars have too much talent to offer +11000 Super Bowl odds. The offense will be much better in Trevor Lawrence’s second season as the starting quarterback. Also, Doug Pederson gets the most out of his QBs.
Defensively, the Jags should surprise. The unit is loaded with top talent. If you want to back one of the longest shots on the board, Jacksonville is your team.
If you’re looking for overlay teams with big chances, think Bengals, Broncos, and Cowboys. All three teams step onto the field with top quarterbacks and all three will end terrific defenses to the turf.
Dallas, Denver, and Cincinnati offer much better odds than they should to win Super Bowl 57. If you’re an overlay player, jump on either the Bengals, or Broncos, or Boys before their first game.

Super Bowl Odds After Big NFL Free Agency Moves
Previous Betting News
Super Bowl OddsWhile the NFL’s free agency signing period continues, the movement football fans and betting enthusiasts saw this past week have already had their impact of the odds to win the 2021 Super Bowl next February.
Super Bowl Odds After Big NFL Free Agency Moves
Whether for good or bad, a handful of teams have seen their Super Bowl LV Odds altered for several reasons, including the fact that Tom Brady will be suiting up for a new team for the first time in two decades. Whether for good – or bad – here’s a look at how a handful of teams have seen their odds either improve or recede.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Super Bowl Odds From 60/1 to 14/1
Well, duh. After signing six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, the Bucs jumped their Super Bowl Odds all the way up from a 60/1 pick to a 14/1 favorite to win Super Bowl 55 next season. Brady joins a team with two Pro Bowl wide receivers in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and he’ll have some clearly capable tight ends in O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate. Tampa Bay also has an improving defense that finished first against the run last season. Tampa Bay also kept linebacker kevin Monter and defensive end Jaso Pierre-Paul. With Brady joining widely-respected head coach Bruce Arians, the sky’s the limit for the new-look Buccaneers moving forward and at 14-1, Tampa Bay is worthy of a futures odds pick even though I don’t think they’ll be the best team in the NFC in 2020.
Arizona Cardinals
Super Bowl Odds From 80/1 to 40/1
The Cardinals are the next biggest winners of free agency after suckering Houston into trading superstar wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is exchange for fading former running back David Johnson. Now, Hopkins joins future Hall of Fame wideout Larry Fitzgerald and the talented Christian Kirk to give young quarterback Kyler Murray one of the top receiving trios in all of football. Arizona also kept running back Kenyan Drake after his monster season in 2019 while adding veteran defensive tackle Jordan Phillips after he racked up 9.5 sacks for Buffalo this past season. After a year mostly full of success as a first-time NFL head coach, the future looks bright for Cards coach Kliff Kingsbury in the desert.
Indianapolis Colts
Super Bowl Odds From 30/1 to 20/1
Not only did the Colts go out and sign former Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers, but they also made sure he’d have plenty of protection by veteran tackle Anthony Castonzo to a two-year $33 million deal while re-signing offensive lineman Le’Raven Clark. Rivers gets one year and $25 million to show he’s still capable of leading a team into Super Bowl contention.
NY Giants
Super Bowl Odds From 80/1 to 50/1
I have no idea what new York’s dds have improved seeing as how the G-Men didn’t really make any major free agent additions, with their best free agent signing being that of linebackers Blake Martinez and David Mayo to identical three-year deals.
Miami
Super Bowl Odds From 100/1 to 60/1
The Dolphins looks like a franchise that has a great plan for getting back to respectability in the very near future – particularly if they can land the right quarterback in the upcoming NFL Draft. Miami added superstar cornerback Byron Jones by making him the highest paid cornerback in the league. The Fins also added veteran tackle Ereck Flowers, bruising running back Jordan Howard, edge rushers Shaq Lawson and Emmanuel Ogbah and do-it-all linebacker Kyle Van Noy.
One Step Forward, Two Steps…
New England 12 to 30
Yeah, when you don’t show your six-time Super Bowl winning quarterback the love he deserves, this is what happens! With Tom Brady out the door, we’re going to find out quickly whether it was Bill Belichick’s or Brady’s genius that was the real driving force behind New England’s two-decades of domination.
Pittsburgh
Super Bowl Odds From 12 to 30
Despite the fact that Brady bolted for the NFC and the Steelers will have Ben Roethlisberger back on the field in 2020, NFL bettors saw the Steelers’ Super Bowl odds take a hit by going from a 12/1 pick to 30/1. Pittsburgh has added veteran tight end Eric Ebron and traded for defensive tackle Chris Wormley, but they haven’t been big players in free agency at all while several other AFC rivals made a series of what looks like roster-improving moves.
Houston
Super Bowl Odds From 30/1 to 80/1
When the 2019 regular season ended, I was calling for the Texans to ax underachieving head coach Bill O’Brien. Instead, the Texans named his as their new GM and he promptly blew it in a big way by trading Pro Bowl wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins for aging running back David Johnson. Maybe it’s me, but I’m more sure than ever. It’s time for O’Brien to go before he ruins all of Deshaun Watson’s chances to experience some real postseason success.
Detroit
Super Bowl Odds From 80 to 100
Let me just repeat what I wrote the day Detroit named former Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia as their head coach. The Lions blew it in a big way. Then again, Detroit did manage to sign veteran Chase Daniel to be their backup in 2020…ooh!
Washington
Super Bowl Odds From 100 to 200
I don’t know why Washington’s Super Bowl odds took a hit recently, but I completely and utterly disagree. The Skins made a great hire by naming former Panthers head coach Ron Rivera as their new leading man. Rivera then added veteran linebacker Thomas Davis and veteran cornerback Kendall Fuller to help shore up a unit that should be stingy right away in 2020 based on Rivera’s past successes in Carolina.
The Brady Effect
The San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl Odds went from an 8/1 pick to a 10/1 selection while New Orleans saw their futures odds move from 10/1 to 14/1. While both teams will likely be among the very best Super Bowl contenders in 2020, both franchises saw their respective NFL odds move simply because Tom Brady joined the NFC.
Updated NFL Super Bowl Odds March 27th
Previous Betting News
While we are months away from the start of the 2020 NFL regular season, football fans and betting enthusiasts like you know it’s never too early to start formulating a betting plan for any new campaign. With that thought in mind, let’s take a look at the current odds to win Super Bowl 55 next February.
Updated NFL Super Bowl Odds March 27th Edition
Odds to win Super Bowl 55
Kansas City Chiefs +600
Baltimore Ravens +750
San Francisco 49ers +1000
New Orleans Saints +1200
Analysis: The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs are prohibitive favorites and for good reasons. Patrick Mahomes and almost the complete roster that finished the 2019 campaign will be back in 2020 and as loaded as ever. The same goes for Baltimore and reigning MVP Lamar Jackson. In San Francisco and New Orleans, the Niners and Saints also looked primed to make another great run at winning the NFC Championship thanks to a powerful defense in Frisco and an explosive offense in New Orleans.
Legitimate Contenders
Seattle Seahawks +2500
Green Bay Packers +2800
Philadelphia Eagles +2200
New England Patriots +2500
Buffalo Bills +3300
Tennessee Titans +3300
Dallas Cowboys +2200
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +3300
Minnesota Vikings +4000
Pittsburgh Steelers +4000
Analysis: Out of this group, I like Seattle, Philadelphia and Minnesota the most out of the NFC teams listed here. The Seahawks and Birds possess MVP-caliber quarterbacks in Russell Wilson and Carson Wentz respectively while Minnesota should be rock-solid again in 2020 defensively. Out of the AFC teams in this group, I expect New England to be competitive, but not nearly as good as they would be if Tom Brady had stayed. I’m expecting Buffalo and Tennessee to challenge for a berth in the AFC title tilt and I’m expecting Pittsburgh to be competitive again with Ben Roethlisberger back under center.
The Best of the Rest
Cleveland Browns +4000
Las Vegas Raiders +4000
Los Angeles Chargers +4000
Arizona Cardinals +5000
Atlanta Falcons +5000
Chicago Bears +5000
Houston Texans +5000
Los Angeles Rams +5000
Indianapolis Colts +3300
Analysis: Out of this group, I like the Chargers, Rams and Texans to challenge for playoff berths and Chicago as well, if Nick Foles supplants Mitch Trubisky sooner rather than later. Atlanta looked great to close out the 2019 campaign and the Falcons should be ready to go from the outset after a horrific start to last season. In Cleveland, the Browns are heading in a new direction under Kevin Stefanski, so no one really knows what to expect out of Baker Mayfield and the Browns. I like the additions that both, Arizona and Indianapolis made in free agency in landing DeAndre Hopkins and Philip Rivers and I expect both teams to take a big step forward in 2020.
Not Gonna’ Happen!
Denver Broncos +6600
Detroit Lions +10000
Miami Dolphins +10000
New York Giants +10000
New York Jets +10000
Cincinnati Bengals +15000
Jacksonville Jaguars +15000
Washington Redskins +15000
Carolina Panthers +25000
Analysis: The Broncos still have question marks at quarterback (hello, Cam Newton?) while the Lions are a complete mess heading into Year 3 of the Matt Patricia era. The Miami Dolphins got it right by naming Brian Flores as their head coach and Chris Grier as their GM, but the Fins are still at least a year away from challenging for a playoff berth, though they are certainly heading in the right direction. The Giants have a new and completely untested first-time head coach in Joe Judge and the Jets still have the incompetent Adam Gase in charge. The Bengals and Panthers are starting completely over under Joe Burrow and Matt Rhule while Jacksonville looks like a train wreck waiting to happen.
SB LIII Odds Favorites, Dark Horses & Underdogs – July 16th
Previous Betting News
There can only be one team that wins the Super Bowl LIII, but there are a handful of teams who head into the season with a legitimate shot at being the one. Behind those Super Bowl odds favorites come the group of teams from which a dark horse or two will emerge, while the serious underdogs sit at the bottom of the pack. Knowing where each of the 32 NFL teams belongs will help you handicap all the games more effectively this season, so let’s break them up into 3 groups.
Super Bowl LIII Odds Favorites, Dark Horses & Underdogs – July 16th
Super Bowl Favorites
New England Patriots +400
Philadelphia Eagles +750
Green Bay Packers +750
Pittsburgh Steelers +800
Los Angeles Rams +900
Minnesota Vikings +1000
Jacksonville Jaguars +1600
The teams that we will find in this group are the elite batch of the NFL, and it all begins with the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles. It’s easy to forget that they won it all with a backup QB under center throughout the playoffs, so they may be even better this season. The Pittsburgh Steelers have one of the most potent offenses in the league and are always in with a shot, assuming that they can get past the New England Patriots. There is some concern about a potential drop off this season, but this team always seems to find a way to win.
The Green Bay Packers have been hammered by injuries over the past couple of seasons, but if they can stay healthy, look out. Much like the Steelers, the Atlanta Falcons are an offensive juggernaut that needs to be taken seriously. Did the Minnesota Vikings finally get the QB who can take them to the promised land? Only time will tell, but we do know that defense is going to rock. The LA Rams took a huge step forward last season and have been active in free agency to get even better this year. The Jacksonville Jaguars came within one play of making the Super Bowl last season, but can they go one better this year?
Super Bowl Dark Horses
San Francisco 49ers +1600
New Orleans Saints +1800
Los Angeles Chargers +2300
Detroit Lions +3300
The teams in this group are all likely to finish in or around 8-8, but with a little luck, they may go even better. The New Orleans Saints had a great season last year, but can they repeat that success? The San Francisco 49ers got a whole lot better with Jimmy G at the QB position and are the team with a ton of buzz surrounding them. The Detroit Lions have a great QB, but their lack of other solid parts may prove to be their undoing.
The LA Chargers missed out on the postseason due to a tiebreaker last year, proving that they are close to making a breakthrough. A playoff appearance and win last year proved that the Tennessee Titans are moving in the right direction. The Redskins, Cowboys, and Broncos, as well as the Kansas City Chiefs, are all knocking on the door, but can any of them actually break it down? The Baltimore Ravens probably fit in here, too.
Super Bowl Underdogs
New York Giants +4000
Buffalo Bills +5500
Cleveland Browns +6500
Chicago Bears +8000
New York Jets +12000
There really is no point in going into any great detail about these teams, as there is no chance that any of them get anywhere near a Super Bowl. The New York Giants are arguably the best of this bunch, but the likes of the Browns, Bills, Jets, and Bears are going to deliver nothing but disappointment for their fans.
2019 Super Bowl Futures Point to Eagles and Patriots…Again
Previous Betting News
In the first week of August, the 2018 NFL Preseason begins. That means we’re on the precipice of another excellent NFL Regular Season. Some things have changed. For example, the league appears to have put the not standing for the flag controversy behind them.
Some things haven’t changed at all, though. One of the things that hasn’t changed is that Super Bowl LIII is expected to be a repeat, at least in regards to the teams playing, of Super Bowl LII. This past February the Philadelphia Eagles beat the New England Patriots 41 to 33. It was an upset, but it wasn’t a huge upset.
Look what’s happened, so far, during the offseason? The betting dollars are going to both the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles to win Super Bowl LIII.
Super Bowl 2019 Futures Point to Eagles vs Patriots…Again
The Patriots entered last season as a chalky +350 choice to win Super Bowl LII. New England had come off a Super Bowl LI victory over the Atlanta Falcons. If anything, New England was expected to be better last season than they were in the 2016 NFL Season.
It didn’t pan out for the Patriots. But, based on the odds the Pats aren’t a lock to win Super Bowl 53. In fact, heading into training camps in July, the Eagles may have garnered more betting dollars than the Patriots.
Here are the odds for both teams:
New England Patriots +400
Philadelphia Eagles +750
The Philadelphia Eagles’ odds were at +850. They have since moved down to +750 on MyBookie. Does that mean Philly offers overlay odds compared to New England? Probably not.
The closest team to the Patriots in the AFC are the Pittsburgh Steelers at +800. The Eagles have competition in the NFC. The Green Bay Packers are at +750, just like Philadelphia while the L.A. Rams (yes, the Rams!) are at +900.
In the NFC, the Eagles are slight favorites over the Green Bay Packers even though their odds are the same on MyBookie. We know this because in some Vegas sportsbooks Green Bay is at double-digit odds to win Super Bowl LIII. After training camps start in July, Green Bay could garner enough dollars in future books for their odds to head lower than Philadelphia’s.
For now, the Eagles are favored over the Packers while the Patriots are clear favorites in the AFC. Based on current Super Bowl LIII odds on MyBookie, this season’s Super Bowl should end up Patriots versus Eagles again.
Will it happen? We shall see!
2017 NFL Super Bowl Odds And Payouts
Previous Betting News
If we are being perfectly honest, the playoffs this year have been something of a disappointment, as we have been treated to a steady diet of blowouts. The hope now is that all of that will be forgotten when the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots hook up in Super Bowl 51 in Houston in a couple of weeks. The one thing that we can guarantee is that there are going to be plenty of betting options for those of us who like to spread out the wagers on the big game. We will get into all the great prop bets available in another article, but for now, we are going to take some time to break down the more basic betting odds. Keep in mind that the odds mentioned here could very well change in the next couple of weeks, so be sure to check back in on a regular basis for live updates. All the payouts listed below are based on a $100 bet, so before you wager on NFL playoffs, click here to cash in on the updatedSuper Bowl 51 promos.
A Closer Look At The 2017 NFL Super Bowl Odds And Payouts
Playing the Super Bowl Straight Up
The Patriots have been to this dance a few times, so it’s no real surprise that experience is playing big with the bookies and the betting public. You can get the New England Patriots at -160 right now, which would translate to a $62.50 profit if the favorites get the win. The Falcons are a nice bet at +135, which would mean a profit of $135 if they come out with the mild upset. The straight up play is perhaps the most common bet in big games, mostly because you get a lot of casual bettors looking to make an uncomplicated wager.Playing the Super Bowl Against the Spread
If you are looking for a little better profit, you need to look at playing against the spread. The Patriots have been installed as a 3-point favorite for the big game, with the odds for covering set at -115. That would mean a nice profit of $86.96 if they are able to cover. There is even more money to be made if you take the Falcons to cover and they come good. If they can win, or lose by less than 3, then you would pocket a nice little profit of $95.24.Playing the Super Bowl OVER/UNDER
The OVER/UNDER has been set high for Super Bowl 51, with the total opening at 58.5 points. This is not really to shocking given that both teams have the ability to rack up he points on any given Sunday. Both teams have seen each of their playoff games go OVER, and if you think this one will, too, you can get odds of -115, which delivers a profit of $86.96. The odds for the UNDER are a little better at -105, which would translate to a profit of $95.24 for your $100 bet.
As we mentioned at the start of this piece, there is a chance that these odds could shift a little over the next couple of weeks. Be sure to check in regularly for live odds updates.
NFL Super Bowl 57 Betting Predictions That Could Reshape Odds To Win Super Bowl
Previous Betting News
We are now only a matter if days away from the biggest game on the NFL schedule, with the Super Bowl set to go this coming Sunday. If you are a fan of the best teams making it to the big game, then you have to be happy with the Eagles and Chiefs going head-to-head, as these were their #1 seeds in their respective conferences at the start of the season. When you have a pair of teams meeting up that looked to be very evenly matched, it’s not that surprising when the bookies make the odds rather tight. That is where we are at right now, with the Philadelphia Eagles in as a 1 ½ point favorite. The odds across the board could still change, so let’s look at some factors that might come into play and the Super Bowl Odds that might be affected.
NFL Super Bowl Betting Predictions for the Big Game on Sunday
The biggest concern at the moment is the health of Patrick Mahomes, who played through a high ankle sprain in the AFC Championship win over the Cincinnati Bengals. There were times when he looked to be hobbled, which could prove to be bad when going against a defense that has been outstanding in the postseason. Everyone is aware of his ankle issue, so that alone might not change the odds to win, but it may have an impact elsewhere, which we will get to in a minute.
The Chiefs have other injury issues on the offensive side of the football, and their status could definitely have an impact on the odds. As you might expect, the Chiefs are keeping their card pretty close to the vest when discussing these injuries, so you may have to wait until the very last minute to get the final status of those players. A couple of players going from questionable to probable could shift the odds in a different direction.
Bet Super Bowl 57 Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
The Mahomes injury does have an impact on a couple of other things, most notably the point total. If he is still struggling with that injury, can we expect the Chiefs offense to be firing on all cylinders? That could have an impact on the point total, which some already believe is a little bit on the high side of things. You might also want to consider how his ankle injury might impact the odds for the MVP. There are a couple of ways to look at this, starting with the fact that Mahomes might have difficulty putting up the numbers required to become the Super Bowl MVP. On the flipside, if the Chiefs win, they might be more inclined to give it to Mahomes, knowing that he played through the pain to lead his team to a win.
In reality, I don’t think that we are going to see any kind of major swing in the betting odds over the next few days. Things may move slightly, so it really is up to each individual bettor to decide whether to get their wagers on now or wait a few more days to wait and see if the odds shift in their favor.
Super Bowl LV Odds Update October 14th Edition
Previous Betting News
Because of a wild Week 5, Super Bowl Odds have dramatically changed. A few preseason favorites are now underdogs, the Kansas City Chiefs’ odds rose, and a preseason underdog is on the cusp of becoming a favorite. Check out what happened with Super Bowl odds after NFL Week 5!
Updated Super Bowl LV Odds: 49ers Now a Big Underdogs
San Francisco 49ers odds make them a massive underdog
Things haven’t gone well for the 2019 NFC Champions. After Week 5, the San Francisco 49ers are 2-3. Although being 2-3 doesn’t stop the Niners from going to the playoffs, the fact that the only two teams they’ve beaten are the New York Jets and New York Giants is a sign that the playoffs may be a longshot.
San Francisco has lost to Arizona, the Philadelphia Eagles, and most surprisingly, the Miami Dolphins. Those are three losses to teams that are a combined 6-8-1. That’s not good. The two teams San Francisco beat, the awful New York teams, are a combined 0-10.
What’s keeping the 49ers from the same success they had last season? It’s difficult to say. The defense had played well up until Ryan Fitzpatrick torched them for 350 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Fins blasted San Francisco 43-17.
Right now, the Niners aren’t playing well in any phase of the game. Almost as important, coach Kyle Shanahan doesn’t seem to know how to get his players motivated enough to turn things around. We shall see what happens, but, at least heading into Week 6, the San Francisco 49ers are a shell of the team that had the Chiefs on the ropes in the 2020 Super Bowl.
KC Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, and Seattle Seahawks become underlays
NFL analysts appear to be in love with the Seattle Seahawks. It makes some sense. The Seahawks average 33.8 points per game, ranking second in the NFL. They’ve also gone undefeated, but before anointing the Seahawks this year’s Super Bowl winners, we must address two glaring issues.
Kansas City offers +400 to win the Super Bowl. Although they should remain the favorite, the odds are much too low. The Chiefs showed in their loss to the Raiders that they’re not unbeatable. The Ravens at +550 are also an underlay. Baltimore is a good team. They’re not a +550 to win the Super Bowl “good”, though.
First, we don’t know how good Seattle really is. They’ve beaten the Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys, Miami, Minnesota, and New England. The Seahawks struggled against the Cowboys and Vikings. Second, Seattle allows 370.4 passing and 471.2 total yards per. Both those stats rank last in the league. Games against Arizona, Buffalo and the Rams happen in the next four weeks. The Hawks could be a definite play against by them.
Saints, Rams, and Bills are this week’s top overlays to win the Super Bowl
Although the New Orleans required overtime to beat the L.A. Chargers, the Saints are the most penalized team in the NFL. If coach Sean Payton and defensive coordinator Dennis Allen can get the defense to play with discipline, the Saints become a massive overlay at +1200.
The Rams and Bills both offer overlay odds. Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen is posting stats that make him an MVP candidate. The Rams are solid across the board. Quarterback Jared Goff is the 2020 version of Troy Aikman. Goff won’t get the stats, but he doesn’t make many mistakes.
Week 6 promises to again change Super Bowl odds even further. Have a great rest of your week and weekend!

Updated Super Bowl LV Odds October 7th Edition
Previous Betting News
After the NFL’s first month, Super Bowl odds haven’t changed at the top. Both the Chiefs and Ravens are favored. But when it comes to odds for the rest of the teams, big changes have happened. Keep reading for analysis of the current Super Bowl odds!
Chiefs, Ravens, Packers & Seahawks Favored to Win Super Bowl LV
Heading into NFL Week 5, which favorite offers overlay odds
Kansas City looks like a lock to win the AFC. But the Chiefs offer underlay odds. We’re at Week 5. There is a lot of football left to play. Anything can happen.
Baltimore offers more underlay odds than Kansas City, though. KC dominated the Ravens in Week 3. What can Baltimore do to change the outcome if the two teams meet in the playoffs?
Seattle offers underlay odds at +700. Sure, Russell Wilson could win the MVP this season. And, yes, the Seahawks average 35.5 points per, ranking second in the NFL. But the Emerald City ranks last in total yards allowed per game. Eventually, that will catch up to them.
If we consider a favorite any team offering odds at +1000 or below, the best possible wager is on the Green Bay Packers. Aaron Rodgers has yet to throw an interception, is completing 70.5% of his passes, and has thrown 13 touchdown passes in four games. He’s also thrown for over 1,200 yards in four games.
The Packers’ defense makes them a better bet than the Seahawks. Green Bay allows 353.3 yards per game, ranking twelfth. That’s impressive because they’ve already played Atlanta and New Orleans, teams that move the ball with regularity.
Which +2800 or less choice has the best chance of winning the Super Bowl?
Both the Rams and Colts are strong plays. At +2200, Los Angeles offers overlay odds for sure. The Rams are a play or two away from being undefeated. Los Angeles almost upset Buffalo on the road after getting behind. LAR plays to win, and the defense is great.
The other overlay choice are the Indianapolis Colts. Philip Rivers is completing 72.5% of his passes, rookie Jonathan Taylor is averaging close to 4 yards per carry, and the defense ranks first in the NFL in points allowed per game. Opponents average just 14 points per against Indy. The average includes the Colts’ first game of the season where they allowed 27 against the Jaguars.
What major underdog can turn it around and take the Vince Lombardi Trophy this season?
Two teams could get on track, the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings. Of the two, the team that should put it together are the Vikings. Minnesota has a good quarterback, Kirk Cousins, a great running back, Dalvin Cook, and a strong offensive line.
The Vikings biggest problem is on defense where they allow 31.3 points from over 425 yards per. If Minnesota’s defense can gel, the Vikings are good enough to get back into the race in the NFC.
Also give Philadelphia a shot. The Eagles won their first game in Week 4, a nice 25-20 victory over the injury-riddled San Francisco 49ers. If Philadelphia can hang on and win a couple of more games as injured as they are, they could really surprise.
