Betting 2024 NFL Season
In less than three weeks America’s top sports league returns to action when the NFL begins another eventful season.
Things kick off with a bang when the Baltimore Ravens head to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs.
Other top games in NFL Week 1 include Packers versus Eagles in Brazil on Friday, Steelers at Falcons and the Rams versus the Lions on Sunday.
Which games go over the total and which go under?
Check out NFL odds, analysis, and top O/U picks for week 1.
Writer’s NFL Over/Under Picks for the First Week of the Season
Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs – 46.5
Thursday, September 5th, 2024
Ravens versus Chiefs has the makings of a shootout.
Both teams can move the football and pile up points.
But in the first game of the season, we shouldn’t expect much from either team.
There is a legit question mark regarding the Chiefs defense.
KC lost key players.
So expect Mahomes and his mates to eat up clock in an attempt to keep the ball out of Lamar Jackson’s hands.
Under is the play.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Under
Green Bay Packers at Philadelphia Eagles – 48.5
Friday, September 6th, 2024
The game counts as a home contest for the Eagles.
The matchup, though, happens in Brazil at Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo.
It doesn’t seem fair that Philadelphia, a team coming off a tough season, has to play a home game in Brazil.
No matter the location, the offenses could struggle because Vic Fangio will make sure Philly’s defense is up to the task and the Packers’ defense should be better.
48.5 points are too many for an NFL Week 1 game.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Under
Pittsburgh Steelers at Atlanta Falcons – 42.5
Sunday, September 8th, 2024
This looked like an over game for sure.
The line, 42.5, isn’t too high.
Also, the Steelers upgraded their offense and so did the Falcons.
Atlanta should field one of the top offenses in the NFC this season.
Over looked good but then the ATL decided to make a play for not one but two stellar defenders.
Linebacker Matthew Judon and strong safety Justin Simmons should rock Justin Fields or Russell Wilson.
Go under.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Under
Minnesota Vikings at New York Giants – 41.5
Sunday, September 8th, 2024
Oddsmakers look at the Giants’ and Vikings’ offenses and think there’s no way either team approaches 20 points.
However, neither team has fantastic defense.
Both teams have good defensive players but the overall defenses aren’t great.
So there is a chance for Daniel Jones and Sam Darnold, who has had his moments as a starter, to get it done.
The Giants won’t cover Justin Jefferson with success.
The Vikings won’t cover rookie Malik Nabers with success.
Over is the play.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Over
Denver Broncos at Seattle Seahawks – 41.5
Sunday, September 8th, 2024
Here’s another over under total that looks off.
Seahawks versus Broncos should go over by a mile.
Denver already has a rookie quarterback star in Bo Nix.
Sean Payton had Nix at the top of his big board.
He drafted Nix in the first round while everybody thought Bo would go in the second.
So far, Payton has proven to be right as Nix has had a fantastic preseason.
Geno Smith has proven he can post 300 yard games.
As long as DK Metcalf is healthy, Smith should have a fantastic game versus a hard trying but suspect Denver defense.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Over
Los Angeles Rams at Detroit Lions – 51.5
Sunday, September 8th, 2024
Although the line is massive and it’s always tough to go over huge totals early in the NFL season, it’s difficult to go under when the Rams head to the Lions.
No doubt, both teams have decent defenses.
But the offenses are stellar in this matchup.
Both teams are good for at least 27 points.
Rams versus Lions has the makings of a classic where a team wins by scoring a late field goal in a 34-31 game.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Over

Unlocking Week 1 Profits: Top Over/Under Betting Picks with Analysis
Previous Betting News
As of this writing, there are only 58 days until the 2024 NFL regular season opens with the annual Kickoff Game and an AFC playoff rematch as the Baltimore Ravens visit the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday, Sept 5.
While we don’t have a huge opinion on that total, we do on a few others in Week 1.
Steelers at Falcons (43.5)
Presumably, this will be Russell Wilson’s debut at quarterback for Pittsburgh unless he’s somehow beaten out for the starting job by Justin Fields.
After being released by Denver, Wilson signed a one-year deal with the Steelers back in March. Wilson signed a one-year, $1.21 million deal with Pittsburgh, while the Broncos are paying him $39 million not to play for them this season.
Wilson’s contract allowed the Steelers to acquire Justin Fields in a trade with the Chicago Bears. The Steelers will pay less than $4.5 million this season for both Wilson and Fields.
When the team drafted quarterback Kenny Pickett in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, many fans expected the organization to commit to him long-term but he’s now a backup in Philadelphia.
It will also be the Falcons debut of new starting QB Kirk Cousins. The four-time Pro Bowl quarterback signed a four-year deal worth $180 million this offseason.
Cousins is coming off a season-ending Achilles tendon rupture that he sustained in the Vikings’ Week 8 game against the Green Bay Packers in October 2023 but he had been putting up terrific numbers.
Atlanta also has a new coach in Raheem Morris, who was previously the team’s interim head coach and had spent the past few seasons as the Rams’ defensive coordinator. He replaced the fired Arthur Smith in Atlanta.
Where is Smith now? Offensive coordinator in Pittsburgh.
NFL Week 1 Pick: Under 43.5 points.
Panthers at Saints (40.5)
Things can’t possibly get any worse for Carolina this season as the Panthers finished an NFL-worst 2-15 last year but didn’t own the No. 1 overall pick in the draft after trading it to Chicago in a pre-2023 draft deal that got Carolina the top pick that year.
It took Alabama QB and former Heisman winner Bryce Young, but he looked utterly lost as a rookie. Young averaged just 5.5 yards per attempt last season, recording 22 turnover-worthy plays and an astronomical pressure-to-sack rate of 24.5%.
To make matters worse, fellow rookie QB CJ Stroud, who was picked No. 2 overall behind Young, was sensational in his first year in the NFL, leading the Texans to the playoffs. By all accounts, he has looked pretty good in OTAs this year, etc.
Young will have a new head coach in former Bucs OC Dave Canales, who was largely hired to try and salvage Young after doing a fine job last year with another former No. 1 overall pick in Baker Mayfield.
The Saints just missed out on the playoffs and an NFC South title last year in finishing at 9-8 and largely are back the same because the team is annually in salary-cap hell.
The team’s big move was signing former NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Chase Young to a one-year, fully guaranteed $13 million deal.
Last season, Young, 24, tied a career-high with 7.5 sacks, adding 25 tackles and 41 pressures between Washington and San Francisco.
New Orleans finished the 2023 season ranked 28th with 34 sacks, their lowest total since 2016.
The Pelicans was 2-0 vs. Carolina last year and both landed under this total with 34 and 37 points scored. This should land under too.
NFL Week 1 Pick: Under 40.5 points.
Raiders at Chargers (43.5)
It’s the return to the NFL for Jim Harbaugh, who won the national title last season at his alma mater Michigan.
With that goal accomplished, he decided to finally return to the NFL and chase a Super Bowl title — brother John Harbaugh, coach of the Baltimore Ravens, has a ring.
The Chargers probably aren’t going to be very good this year because they gutted their offense in the offseason other than QB Justin Herbert, who was moderately disappointing in 2023.
Herbert’s top two wideouts, Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, and Pro Bowl running back Austin Ekeler are all gone.
In offensive tackle Joe Alt and receiver Ladd McConkey, the Chargers selected two players at key positions early in the draft.
Technically, it’s the full-time Raiders coaching debut of Antonio Pierce. He took over for the fired Josh McDaniels last season and led Las Vegas to a 5-4 mark.
The Raiders also were interested in Harbaugh but opted to give the gig to Pierce, who also drew interest from the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons to fill their vacant head coaching spots. Who starts at QB for Las Vegas?
It should be a camp battle between second-year Aidan O’Connell and veteran Gardner Minshew, who had a Pro Bowl season in 2023 in Indianapolis.
No. 1 running back Josh Jacobs is now in Green Bay. The Raiders and Chargers split two games: Las Vegas won 24-17 in LA and then destroyed the Chargers 63-21 in Sin City.
I expect a game much more similar to that first score.
NFL Week 1 Pick: Under 43.5 points.
2023 NFL Week 1 Over/Under Picks
NFL Week 1 starts on Thursday when the Detroit Lions take on the Kansas City Chiefs. Both teams are favorites to win their respective divisions, which means we should be in for a show. Then on Sunday, the league kicks it up a notch when most teams play before Monday’s massive AFC East matchup between the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills.
With the help of MyBookie’s expert, the NFL O/U picks should give you have a great chance to cash in NFL Week 1. Now, let’s get started.
NFL Week 1 Over/Under Betting Picks | MyBookie Regular Season Preview
2023-24 NFL | 104th season of the National Football League
Regular Season: September 7, 2023 – January 7, 2024
Detroit Lions at Kansas City Chiefs | Thursday Night Football
O/U Total: 54
Thursday, September 7th, 2023 | NBC
GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO
Neither squad boasts a shut down defense, which is why oddsmakers have set such a massive over under total. The Chiefs, because this happens on their field, should post 30.
But so should the Lions because Chris Jones is out. Over is the play.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Over | Bet Lions at Chiefs
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total
Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons
O/U Total: 40
Sunday, September 10th, 2023 at 1:00 pm | FOX
Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, GA
Atlanta will lean on the rushing attack. The Falcons won’t push the envelope by throwing the ball too much. Not with Bijan Robinson in the backfield.
Carolina’s offense shouldn’t be effective in the first game. Not only is Bryce Young a rookie QB but he plays behind a suspect offensive line.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Under | Bet Panthers at Falcons
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total
Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns
O/U Total: 48
Sunday, September 10th, 2023 at 1:00 pm | CBS
Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN
Although listed as questionable, Joe Burrow should play. But just because Burrow projects to play, it doesn’t mean this goes over.
We have to question whether Deshaun Watson ever returns to his best form. Watson didn’t play well last season. Go under to cash.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Under | Bet Bengals at Browns
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total
Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts
O/U Total: 41
Sunday, September 10th, 2023 at 1:00 pm | FOX
Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN
Jacksonville’s offense should be very difficult to contain. The Colts have a decent defense, but Trevor Lawrence projects to take the next step.
Indianapolis will struggle to move the football against a solid Jaguars’ defense, though. Anthony Richardson is a rookie while the Jags’ D has the makings of a special unit. Here’s another that should go under.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Under | Bet Jaguars at Colts
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Minnesota Vikings
O/U Total: 45.5
Sunday, September 10th, 2023 at 1:00 pm | CBS
U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN
Both offenses should excel. Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson should play well against an aging Tampa defense.
On the other side of the field, Baker Mayfield will get Tampa’s offense going early versus a bad Minnesota defense. Over is the play.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Over | Bet Buccaneers at Vikings
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total
Tennessee Titans at New Orleans Saints
O/U Total: 41
Sunday, September 10th, 2023 at 1:00 pm | CBS
Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, LA
The total in this game is much too low. The Titans’ defense is terrible against the pass while the Saints should have one of the better passing attacks in the NFL now that Michael Thomas is healthy and Derek Carr is the quarterback.
Tennessee QB Ryan Tannehill gets to throw to DeAndre Hopkins. Going over makes sense.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Over | Bet Titans at Saints
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total
San Francisco 49ers at Pittsburgh Steelers
O/U Total: 41
Sunday, September 10th, 2023 at 1:00 pm | FOX
Acrisure Stadium, Pittsburgh, PA
The total feels low but that’s only because San Francisco should move the football and score a few touchdowns.
However, Pittsburgh’s offense will want to establish the run, take their time, and keep the ball from Brock Purdy and the 49ers. This could turn into the type of game where the Niners win something like 23-10
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Under | Bet 49ers at Steelers
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total
Arizona Cardinals at Washington Commanders
O/U Total: 38.5
Sunday, September 10th, 2023 at 1:00 pm | FOX
M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD
It doesn’t matter if the Cardinals start Joshua Dobbs or rookie Clayton Tune. The Cards’ quarterback faces the best defensive line in the NFL.
Washington should win this via blowout, which means the score goes under because by blowout, we’re talking 17-3.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Under | Bet Cardinals at Commanders
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total
Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens
O/U Total: 43.5
Sunday, September 10th, 2023 at 1:00 pm | CBS
M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD
Baltimore could shut out the Houton Texans. The Ravens played great defense last season. This season, Baltimore should have a better offense, but even if that’s the case, Houston’s D isn’t bad. Let’s say the Ravens win 24-0.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Under | Bet Texans at Ravens
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total
Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears
O/U Total: 43.5
Sunday, September 10th, 2023 at 4:25 pm | CBS
Empower Field at Mile High, Denver, CO
The total in this one doesn’t make much sense. The Chicago Bears are going to have a dynamic offense. Justin Fields is already one of the top rushing quarterbacks in the league.
Expect the Bears to have thrown in a few of Philly’s plays, meaning Chicago utilize Justin the way the Eagles utilize Jalen Hurts.
Green Bay’s Jordan Love won’t make Packer fans forget about Aaron Rodgers, but he will find success against a bad Bears’ D. Over for sure.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Over | Bet Packers at Bears
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total
Las Vegas Raiders at Denver Broncos
O/U Total: 44
Sunday, September 10th, 2023 at 4:25 pm | CBS
Empower Field at Mile High, Denver, CO
Sean Payton is going to want to make a statement, which means the Broncos might get the over by themselves on Sunday.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Over | Bet Raiders at Broncos
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total
Philadelphi Eagles at New England Patriots
O/U Total: 45
Sunday, September 10th, 2023 at 4:25 pm | CBS
Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, MA
Hurts and the Eagles can move the ball at will but New England may not give up many touchdowns.
Bill Belichick will play bend but don’t break. Then when he has the ball, Bill O’Brien will run schemes that allows New England to keep the ball for long stretches.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Under | Bet Eagles at Patriots
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total
Miami Dolphins at Los Angeles Chargers
O/U Total: 51
Sunday, September 10th, 2023 at 4:25 pm | CBS
SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
51? What is this? Oregon versus Washington in the now defunct Pac-12?
51 is a massive total. But this goes over. The Dolphins play fast. The Chargers will have no choice but to counter.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Over | Bet Dolphins at Chargers
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total
Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks
O/U Total: 46.5
Sunday, September 10th, 2023 at 4:25 pm | FOX
Lumen Field, Seattle, WA
This is an under game. Seattle resigned one of the best linebackers in franchise history in Bobby Wagner.
Wagner is a run stopper and the Rams’ offensive line is a disaster. Seattle could get the over by themselves but we must assume Pete Carroll dials it back after getting up by 3 touchdowns.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Under | Bet Rams at Seahawks
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total
Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants | Sunday Night Football
O/U Total: 46.5
Sunday, September 10th, 2023 at 8:20 pm | FOX
MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
Even though both teams have great offenses, this feels like an under game. The Cowboys are on the road and Dallas’ offense likely won’t be as effective versus a rival on the road in their first game as it will be later in the season.
The Giants won’t play slow. But Brian Daboll is a master of game pace. Under is the play.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Under | Bet Cowboys at Giants
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total
Buffalo Bills at New York Jets | Monday Night Football
O/U Total: 46.5
Thursday, September 7, 2023 | NBC
MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
Buffalo’s defense ranked second in points allowed per game last season. Sure, Aaron Rodgers is the Jets quarterback but AR may require a game or two to get himself into AFC mode.
Also, the J-E-T-S D knows how to defend against Josh Allen and the Bills’ offense. The NFL Week 1 Monday night game goes under.
NFL Week 1 O/U Pick: Under | Bet Bills at Jets

NFL 2021 Regular Season Week 1 O/U Betting Picks
Previous Betting News
There is nothing quite like the opening week of the NFL season. It’s a time when fans of every team are excited about the prospects of their squad, although many will see their hopes very quickly dashed in the opening weeks. One of the fun things to do when looking ahead at the upcoming season is to try and identify those teams that might find lightning in a bottle and go on an unexpected run. There are always one or two of those team every season and we will almost certainly talk about them as the season progresses. For now, it’s all about looking at the Week 1 schedule and trying to identify some winning picks, which is never easy in the early part of the season. For the purposes of this NFL Betting piece, we are going to focus on our O/U selections for Week 1, so let’s get to it.
Week 1 O/U Picks for the 2021 Season | NFL Betting
Dallas Cowboys at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Under 52)
There seems to be a feeling that the Buccaneers are going to come out and dominate right off the bat this season. With so many new pieces in 2020, it took them some time to get rolling, so they certainly don’t have that excuse this season. As for the Cowboys, they are going to be looking at Dak Prescott and hoping that he is fully recovered from a brutal season-ending injury. Word is that he is good to go, but actual game time looks a whole lot different from preseason training, much of which he sat out through a shoulder injury. That has me concerned about how much offense we might see from the Cowboys this week. Add that to the fact that 5 of the last 6 meetings between these two teams have gone UNDER and you have me leaning towards the UNDER in this one.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Buffalo Bills (Under 48 ½)
A lot of people, myself included, are looking at the Buffalo Bills as a legitimate Super Bowl threat this season. While this is still a very tricky opening game for them, this is a Steelers team that looks to be in a bit of a transition mode. Salary cap issues and the holdout of TJ Watt are just a couple of areas of concern that makes this season look like a potential down year for Pittsburgh. In particular, their O-Line looks a little weak, which could make racking up points difficult. Even if Watt does not play, their D is still good enough to limit what the Bills can do. All of that adds up to this one going UNDER the point total.
Cleveland Browns at Kansas City Chiefs (Over 54 ½)
It’s tough to do, but if you believe the hype coming out of Cleveland, then we might well potentially be looking at an AFC Conference Championship Game preview in Week 1 of the season. The Browns made a big leap forward last season, getting to the playoffs and winning a game. They figure to be stronger this year, but this is certainly a very good litmus test for where they are at. The Chiefs should be great again and will be an offensive force to be reckoned with. This is a game that could well turn into a shootout, and with KB seeing 14 of their last 20 games played in September going OVER, the chances of this bet coming in look good.

NFL 2021 Regular Season: Best Over & Under Picks for Week 1
Previous Betting News
MyBookie has posted odds for NFL Week 1 over and under totals. As you might expect, there are plenty of intriguing matchups that could yield fantastic plays, including the first game of the new NFL Season between the defending Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers and NFC East Division preseason favorite Dallas Cowboys. Check out totals for eight NFL Week 1 games, analysis, and early free picks so you can start planning your bets against their NFL odds.
Best Over And Under Picks for Week 1 of the NFL
2021-2022 NFL Regular Season
When: Sep. 9, 2021 – Jan. 9, 2022
Dallas Cowboys at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
O 51 ½ (-110) / U 51 ½ (-110)
Even with Dak Prescott hurt for most of the season, the Dallas Cowboys averaged 24.7 points per. When Prescott was healthy, Dallas seemed to score at will. The Cowboys scored 40 against the Falcons in Week 2 and 38 against Cleveland in Week 4. But this season Tampa should field the best defense in football. Not only that, in Week 1 last year, the Boys scored 17 in a 17-20 loss to the Rams.
NFL Over / Under Pick: Under
Pittsburgh Steelers at Buffalo Bills
O 50 (-110) / U 50 (-110)
Last season, Buffalo ranked second in points per game. The Bills averaged 31.3. Pittsburgh averaged 26 points per. The Steelers’ defense was fantastic. It held opponents to 19 per. Buffalo beat Pittsburgh 26-15 in a Dec. 13, 2020 contest. A similar score could happen here because Buffalo’s defense should be better and Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin gets the best out of every player on defense.
NFL Over / Under Pick: Under
Arizona Cardinals at Tennessee Titans
O 51 ½ (-110) / U 51 ½ (-110)
This one goes over by a mile. Neither team has a great defense. More importantly, both squads are loaded on offense. Cardinal quarterback Kyler Murray should take the next step to greatness. Ryan Tannehill can now throw the ball to A.J. Brown and Julio Jones. If Tannehill wants to hand the ball off, he can do so to the best running back in the NFL, Derrick Henry.
NFL Over / Under Pick: Over
Philadelphia Eagles at Atlanta Falcons
O 48 (-110) / U 48 (-110)
On paper, here’s another game that should blast through the over. New Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith called plays for the Tennessee Titans last season. The Titans averaged 30.7 points per. If the Eagles start Jalen Hurts, which they should, Philadelphia should average over 24 per. Hurts has that kind of talent. Both defenses will be horrendous just like in 2020.
NFL Over / Under Pick: Over
San Francisco 49ers at Detroit Lions
O 46 (-110) / U 46 (-110)
Detroit could field the worst defense and one of the worst offenses in the league. Lions’ quarterback Jared Goff can start in the NFL. But Goff is hesitant. He doesn’t make decisions fast enough. San Francisco’s offense will be better with a healthy Jimmy Garoppolo. It shouldn’t be good enough for this to go over.
NFL Over / Under Pick: Under
Cleveland Browns at Kansas City Chiefs
O 52 ½ (-110) / U 52 ½ (-110)
This could be a scoring fest classic, but it likely won’t. The Browns averaged 148.4 rushing yards per game last season. Cleveland is a run first squad who only unleashes Baker Mayfield when they get down by more than 14 points. That probably happen here because Patrick Mahomes has become a master at taking his time before scoring a TD. Don’t be surprised if one of these teams wins a 24-21 type game.
NFL Over / Under Pick: Under
Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots
O 45 (-110) / U 45 (-110)
The Dolphins won’t force the issue. The Patriots may start rookie Mac Jones. That will be their best chance of winning this season. Even if they start Cam Newton, coach Bill Belichick will have the same process, hand the ball off, eat up clock with short passes, and then lean on a revamped defense. This goes under.
NFL Over / Under Pick: Under
Chicago Bears at Los Angeles Rams
O 45 (-110) / U 45 (-110)
The Los Angeles Rams should have a much stronger offense in 2020 than they had in 2021. But the real reason to like over in this game is because Andy Dalton gives Chicago coach Matt Nagy a veteran quarterback who can throw the rock. Dalton has skills, which means Chicago should average at least 23 to 27 points each game. The Rams should average close to 30. Last season, the Rams had a great defense. This season, LAR must play without 2020 starting safety John Johnson and starting cornerback Troy Hill. Also, depth on the defense could be an issue.
NFL Over / Under Pick: Over

2020 NFL Betting Analysis – Week 1 O/U Picks
Previous Betting News
The NFL is back! The new season kicks off on Thursday with Chiefs versus Texans. O/U total wagers are an NFL betting staple. Check out over-under analysis and free picks for 9 games in Week 1 so you can make your bets against their NFL odds!
2020 NFL Odds for Week 1 Over/Under Total Picks to Bet On
When: Thursday, Sep. 10 – Monday, Sep. 14
Thursday, Sep. 10 Match
Texans / Chiefs 54 ½
The Texans could have trouble scoring against a defense that boasts one of the best secondaries in football. The Chiefs should score at will, but there are only so many possessions and it’s hard to see KC breaking 40 in the first game. Going under.
NFL Pick: Under
Sunday, Sep. 13 Matches
Miami Dolphins / New England Patriots 43 ½
Last season, the Patriots allowed 14.1 points per game. That was downright SEC like. Ryan Fitzpatrick, Miami’s starting quarterback, torched the Pats for 320 yards and a touchdown in a Week 17 win. Fitz should get it going while Cam Newton on the other sideline figures to have a great opening game. Also, the number is soft at 43 ½.
NFL Pick: Over
Las Vegas Raiders / Carolina Panthers 47 ½
It’s difficult to know what the Panthers will do on offense. Teddy Bridgewater is a good quarterback. But, he’s not a 350 yards, 2 touchdown passes per game quarterback. Las Vegas should concentrate on rushing the football. This figures to go under.
NFL Pick: Under
Seattle Seahawks / Atlanta Falcons 49
Seahawks versus Falcons projects as a shootout. Both teams are loaded on offense. Atlanta’s offense figures to light up the scoreboard like a Christmas tree. Julio Jones, Todd Gurley, Calvin Ridley and Matt Ryan throwing the football to all three? The Seahawks D got better after adding Jamal Adams. It’s not good enough to keep the ATL from posting 30, which means if Seattle hopes to win the game, they must post more than 30.
NFL Pick: Over
Indianapolis Colts / Jacksonville Jaguars 45
We don’t know how much Philip Rivers has left. Rivers entered the league the same year as Peyton Manning. That’s how long he’s played in the NFL. The rushing attack should be solid, though. Also, we’re discounting the fact that Jacksonville’s Gardner Minshew III might be a true starting quarterback. Over.
NFL Pick: Over
Green Bay Packers / Minnesota Vikings 45 ½
A Green Bay problem is a Minnesota strength. The Packers allowed 120.1 rushing yards per game last season. Dalvin Cook could rack up 150 to 200 yards in this game. Also, it’s not as if the Vikings or Green Bay don’t have passing attacks.
NFL Pick: Over
Arizona Cardinals / San Francisco 49ers 47 ½
Both games last season blew through the over. It wasn’t even close. Arizona added DeAndre Hopkins. The 49ers added rookie wide receiver Brandon Ayuik. Both teams should average more points this season than last season. So, yes, this is another over battle.
NFL Pick: Over
Buccaneers / Saints 49
Both games went over in 2019. And, let’s be honest, Bruce Arians and the Bucs didn’t sign Tom Brady to not let him throw it all over the field. The Saints ranked fourth against the rush and could have a more effective front seven this season. Even if Brady and Arains wanted to slow thing down, they may have no choice but to turn this into a shootout.
NFL Pick: Over
Monday, Sep. 14 Matches
Titans / Broncos 41
Denver’s offense could be awful to good. It’s most likely that Drew Lock and the Broncos go run heavy. We know the Titans will go run heavy. Run heavy doesn’t mean points don’t land on the board, though. In this case, it will. Titans figure to win by around a touchdown to 10 points, 20-10 or 17-10. Either way, we’re looking at an under game.
NFL Pick: Under
