The midway point of the NBA regular season has come and gone, with the All-Star Game now looming on the horizon. We still have a lot of basketball to come before the break, though, and you have to say that this is the tightest we have seen things in recent years, as we don’t really have one dominant team emerging through the first half of play. That may yet change, but it does make games that much more fun and a little more difficult to handicap. We are going to look ahead at the next few days of action to see if we can pick out the NBA games odds that we believe to be the ones to watch and wager on.
Top Week 14 Betting Matchups and Picks for this Week
Phoenix Suns at Memphis Grizzlies – Monday
With Monday being a holiday in the US, we have a lot of earlier games on the schedule, but we are going with one that comes a little later in the day so as to give you time to get those wagers on. The Suns are suffering through injury issues and are on the slide, dropping below the play-in line. They could be in further trouble on Monday, as they need to hit the road to face a Memphis Grizzlies team that has won 9 on a row and are now in 2nd overall in the West, just a ½ game out of the top spot. Can the Grizzlies keep this amazing run going?
Philadelphia 76ers at LA Clippers – Tuesday
We are going the non-conference route on Tuesday night in what is a very quiet schedule. This is the best of the bunch, as both teams are very much in the playoff conversation in their respective conferences. The 76ers are in 4th in the East and on a very decent run of form, winning 7 of their last 10 games. The Clippers have been slumping of late, but they are coming off a win and clinging to the #6 seed in the West. Will home court advantage help the Clippers in what is a tough matchup?
Miami Heat at New Orleans Pelicans – Wednesday
The Pelicans were on the hunt for the top spot in the Western Conference, but an injury to Zion Williamson has slowed them down a little, to the point that they are now playing .500 ball over the last 10 games and 4 games out of first. They will have a tricky one on Wednesday night, when the Miami Heat head into town on a very good run of form. They have won 3 in a row and 7 of their last 10 as they look to get back into the top 6. Can the Heat spring the upset with Williamson out?
Golden State Warriors at Boston Celtics – Thursday
If you want to talk about a Jekyll and Hyde team, you need to have the Golden State Warriors in the conversation. They have been brilliant on home court, going 17-5 in their own building, but they have been a nightmare on the road, posting a 4-17 record. Those road woes have to be a concern on Thursday night, as they will be heading to Boston to face a Celtics team that has the best record in the NBA and who are winners of 6 in a row. Can the Warriors snap out of their road funk?
