Best 2023 NBA Games to Bet On Jan. 28th – 29th
Phoenix Suns vs San Antonio Spurs
San Antonio Spurs (14-35) will attempt to snap a four-game losing streak against the Phoenix Suns (25-25), as they have performed poorly against teams from the Western Conference, going 5-28. Conversely, the Suns have a 19-14 record in conference play. Phoenix is second in the Western Conference with a 3-point shooting percentage of 38.8%.
Deandre Ayton, Devin Booker, and Mikal Bridges proved to be a challenge for San Antonio in the last meeting between the Spurs and Suns at the AT&T Center, scoring at least 20 points apiece in a 133-95 rout.
Expect the tandem of Center Deandre Ayton and Forward Mikal Bridges to completely take over a young Spurs team that has no motivation to win. Not only are the Spurs sloppy, but they play zero defense. The Spurs rank dead last in points against, conceding a league high 121.8 points per game.
The Suns are much watch as Ayton has a 17.5 point, 9.9 rebound, and 58% field goal shooting average, while Mikal Bridges is a remarkable two-way danger with six of his last eight games scoring at least 20 points. Take advantage of the Suns, who should get back on track with another huge win in San Antonio on Saturday.
Denver Nuggets vs Philadelphia 76ers
The Denver Nuggets (34-15) hit the road for a third straight game when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers (31-16). This will certainly be the game to watch on Saturday, as both of these teams are among the top in their conference.
The Nuggets have had a rough go of it recently, losing one to the Oklahoma Thunder and getting dominated by the Milwaukee Bucks, while barely inching out a win over an injured New Orleans Pelicans team. To make matters worse, they will have to go on the road to face a 76ers team that has won six straight contests.
Nikola Jokic has put up some ridiculous numbers for the Nuggets, but they are going through some injury concerns. In each of his last four games he’s played in, Jokic has posted a triple-double, but he has also missed three of his last four games due to a hamstring injury, while Jamal Murray (left knee), Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (right wrist sprain), and Michael Porter Jr. (personal reasons) could potentially miss this game.
The 76ers, on the other hand, have played much better defense which has contributed greatly to their winning streak. Philadelphia has played well at home going 18-7, while also covering the spread in three of their last four. Back the 76ers to get the win at home in this spot.
New Orleans Pelicans vs Milwaukie Bucks
What’s wrong with the New Orleans Pelicans? The Pelicans (26-23) have dropped 11 of their last 14 games, including Six straight. The scheduling has proven challenging, with nine of the last 12 games being against teams with records better than .500. To make matters worse, eight of those games have been on the road, and they will face one of the top teams in the league in the Milwaukee Bucks (31-17) on Sunday.
The Pelicans have been hit hard by injuries, and as Brandon Ingram, Herb Jones, Naji Marshall, and Zion Williamson have all missed time over their losing streak. Brandon Ingram was back in the lineup this last week, and he showed major rust missing 14 of 18 shots against the Timberwolves. Over their last 14 contests, the Pels have been outscored by 77 points.
The Milwaukee Bucks, on the other hand, are third in the Eastern Conference and are currently on a two-game winning streak. They are chasing the top spot in the East and are an incredible 19-5 at home this season. Look for Giannis Antetokounmpo to completely dominate a Zion Williamson-less paint at the Fiserv Forum.
