NHL Must Bet Games in Week 10 & Analysis featuring 3 teams from the Atlantic Division

NHL Must Bet Games in Week 10 & Analysis featuring 3 teams from the Atlantic Division

The NHL regular season continues this week, with some of the top teams now beginning to flex their muscles, including the defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers, who are back on top of their division.

While there are definitely some teams who look like cup contenders already, we do have to step back for a moment and remember that the season is long, and that we are still not even at the midway point of proceedings.

NHL Must Bet Games in Week 10 Analysis

There is plenty of time for fortunes to rise and fall, so I would not be crowning a champion at this stage of the season.

As we do every Monday at this time, we are taking it one week at a time, which means looking ahead to the next few days to pick out the best games on the schedule, so let’s get to it.

Toronto Maple Leafs at New Jersey Devils

Tuesday, December 10, 2024, 6:00 PM | ESPN+, hulu

Both of these teams ended last week with a loss, so both will be looking to get back to winning ways at the start of the new week. The Maple Leafs have actually now lost 2 in a row, but they are still 7-3-0 in their last 10 games, so this does feel like a minor blip.

They are also just 2 points back of the Panthers in the Atlantic Division. The Devils are 6-4-0 in their last 10 games, and while they are just 2 points out of the top spot in the Metropolitan Division, they have played 3 games more than the division leading Capitals. The Leafs won 4-2 in an earlier meeting with the Devils this season.

New York Rangers at Buffalo Sabres

Wednesday, December 11, 2024, 6:00 PM | TNT, truTV, Max

It’s a quiet night in the NHL on Wednesday, with just 2 games on the schedule, but this is a matchup that I like the look of. The Rangers started this season as one of the teams considered likely to make a deep run in the postseason, but they are having their struggles right now, going just 3-7-0 in their last 10 games, which has them down in 4th in the Metropolitan Division.

The Sabres are in worse shape, closing out last week on a 6-game losing skid. I think it’s fair to suggest that both teams need a positive result here.

Vegas Golden Knights at Winnipeg Jets

Thursday, December 12, 2024, 7:00 PM | ESPN+

We have two of the best teams in the Western Conference squaring off in what is a must-watch game. The Golden Knights come into the new week on a 3-game win streak that has them 4 points clear at the top of the Pacific Division. They are an impressive 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and have gone 7-4-3 on the road this season.

The Jets were on fire to start the season, but they have cooled off recently, going just 4-6-0 in their last 10 outings. You still feel as though they could break out again at any moment.

Boston Bruins at Vancouver Canucks

Saturday, December 14, 2024, 9:00 PM | ESPN+

While the Panthers might have the lead in the Atlantic Division, things are incredibly tight. The Boston Bruins are down in 3rd, but after winning 4 straight games, they are now just 3 points out of the lead.

They have been up and down on the road, though, going 6-5-1 away from home. The Canucks ended last week with a loss to fall to 5-4-1 over their last 10 games, which has seen them lose some ground in the Pacific Division. They have not been good at home, going just 4-6-3 to this point.

2021 Best NHL Week 10 Matches

The holiday season tends to be a busy one when it comes to professional sports and the NHL is no different. We have a jam-packed schedule coming over the weekend on the ice, which means plenty of great games to watch and wager on. While there is still plenty of the season to come, it’s never to early to get points on the board and get into a good position for the playoffs. That is what every team is trying to do, as falling behind, even this early, makes it tough to get back into the playoff picture. Let’s now look ahead at some of the best games on the NHL weekend calendar so you can make your bets against the NHL odds.

Top Must Bet Games this Weekend – Dec 10, 2021

Philadelphia Flyers at Vegas Golden Knights – Friday

Sometimes, watching teams play is like looking at a car wreck, which is what is happening with the Flyers right now. They come into this week on a 10-game losing skid and a run that has seen them go 0-8-2 in their last 10. On the flipside, Vegas is on a 3-game winning run and back within 5 points of the Calgary Flames at the top of the Pacific Division.

Boston Bruins at Calgary Flames – Saturday

Speaking of the Calgary Flames, they are back in action on Saturday night and looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last 2. They are still at the top of the division with 35 points and have gone 7-3-0 in their last 10 games. Boston is one of the teams who need to get back to winning, as they are seeing several teams ahead of them beginning to pull away. The Bruins have also lost their last 2 games.

Carolina Hurricanes at Edmonton Oilers – Saturday

The Carolina Hurricanes head into the weekend having won each of their last 2 games, which puts them at 5-4-1 in their last 10. They are doing a good job of keeping pace in the Metropolitan Division and are just 3 points off the top. The Oilers have hit the skids a little of late, losing 3 in a row and going 5-5-0 in their last 10. That has dropped them to 3rd in the Pacific Division.

Nashville Predators at New York Rangers – Sunday

The Minnesota Wild are opening up a lead at the top of the Central Division, but the Predators are doing their best to keep pace. They are on 29 points and are 5-5-0 in their last 10 games after picking up 2 straight wins. The Rangers missed out on an opportunity to go top of the Metropolitan Division after losing their last game, but they are still 8-2-0 in their last 10, so very much in form.

Minnesota Wild at Vegas Golden Knights – Sunday

The Wild have opened up a 7-point lead at the top of the Central Division and have been very good on the road, going 8-4-1 in games away from home. They have now won 7 in a row and are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games. The Golden Knights are on a solid run of form, too and head into the weekend on a 3-game winning run.
