Argentina -1.5 -109 vs Canada +1.5 -111
Thursday, June 20th, 2024
Canada doesn’t have much shot in this match.
The Canadians played well versus France in their last tune up match, but the French may have left a lot off the pitch knowing they are a Euro Cup favorite.
In the match before, the Netherlands dusted Canada.
Argentina rolled through their final international friendlies.
The Albiceleste covers.
Copa America Pick: Argentina
Peru +310 vs Chile +100
Friday, June 21st, 2024
Peru versus Chile is an understated South American rivalry.
Peru is playing well enough to force a draw in this, but the payout on Chile entices.
The Chileans lost to France via a 3-2 score on March 26. In their previous match, Chile blasted Albania 3-0. In the match after taking on the French, Chile drubbed Paraguay 3-0.
The Chileans win.
Copa America Pick: Chile
Ecuador -135 vs Venezuela +360
Saturday, June 22nd, 2024
Ecuador often plays decent soccer in competitions like the Copa America.
Not only that, but Ecuador is playing well enough to not only beat Venezuela but to also win on a spread line if one presents itself.
Ecuador beat Bolivia 3-1 int heir last international friendly while Venezuela drew against Guatemala.
The Ecuadorians roll by 2.
Copa America Pick:
Mexico -164 vs Jamaica +480
Saturday, June 22nd, 2024
Mexico isn’t playing great soccer, losing by 4 to Uruguay, a goal to Brazil, and by 2 to the United States in 3 of their last 4 matches.
Jamaica has won 3 straight. El Tri shouldn’t fall to Jamaica, but beating the Jamaicans in regulation will be difficult.
A draw seems likely.
Soccer Pick: Draw
United States -1.75 -118 vs Bolivia +1.75 -102
Sunday, June 23rd, 2024
Bolivia isn’t a good soccer team. Also, the United States forced a draw versus Brazil in their final international friendly.
The U.S. shouldn’t win the Copa. But they are the most talented CONCACAF team and boast the best roster after Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay.
The U.S. wins this by 3 goals.
Soccer Pick: United States -1.75
Uruguay -1.5 -106 vs Panama +1.5 -114
Sunday, June 23rd, 2024
Darwin Nunez, the ageless Luis Suarez, and Federico Valverde make Uruguay one of the favorites to win the Copa America.
Those three players, along with a few other Uruguayans, are going to herald their Copa chances with a massive 3 goal victory over Panama.
Panama is an okay soccer nation. But it doesn’t come close to producing the type of players that Uruguay produces.
Suarez and his mates dominate.
Soccer Pick: Uruguay -1.5

MLB Pitchers to Back after Week 12 of the Season
Previous Betting News
What are some of the things you look at when deciding which games to wager on any given day in the MLB? Current form will certainly be taken into account, as will the previous matchups between the teams in question. You will almost certainly also look at the pitching matchups to see if there is some type of edge to be found. That is what we are looking at here, as a hot pitcher can very often translate into a win. There are all kinds of pitching stats that you can look at to see who is at or near the top over the course of the season, but I like to take that, as well as current form and the next matchup to find the pitchers I want to bet on in upcoming games.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at the next 4 days and pick a pitcher to back the MLB betting odds for each game durig week 12.
MLB Pitchers to Back after Week 12 of the Season | MLB Lines by MyBookie
MLB Week 13: Monday June 26 – Sunday July 2, 2023
Kevin Gausman
Toronto Blue Jays | No. 34
Bats: Left / Throws: Right
While the Blue Jays find themselves down in 4th in the AL East, they are still very much in the Wild Card hunt. They have won 2 in a row and will send Kevin Gausman to the mound on Tuesday night to face the San Francisco Giants. The Jays have been money with Gausman on the mound, as they have won each of the last 7 games that he has started. Gausman is 7-3 overall with an ERA of 3.10 and has picked up 5 wins in those last 6 starts. I think this makes the Jays a good bet on Tuesday night.

Logan Gilbert
Seattle Mariners | No. 36
Bats: Right / Throws: Right
You are not going to find Gilbert at the top of any of the major pitching stats, but you are going to see a pitcher that seems to be getting better as the season progresses. He has 4 wins in his last 6 starts and is coming off an absolute gem in his last start against the Baltimore Orioles. He surrendered just 1 ER in 7 innings of work in that game, taking his overall record to 5-4 in the process. Wednesday night will see him go against the floundering Washington Nationals in a game where he could pad his stats a little more.

Jon Gray
Texas Rangers | No. 22
Bats: Right / Throws: Right
While the Rangers are in a bit of a slump at the moment, losing their last 3 games, the good news is that they still have a 5-game lead atop the AL West. They do need to get back on track, though, and will have a shot to do just that on Thursday night when they send Jon Gray to the mound to face the Detroit Tigers. Gray was solid in his last outing, but still somehow took the L in a 1-0 defeat to the Yankees, the 2nd time that has happened to him in his last 3 starts. Overall, he is now 6-3 on the season with an ERA of 2.89 and I like him to get the W on Thursday night.

Bobby Miller
Los Angeles Dodgers | No. 70
Bats: Left / Throws: Right
This may be seen by many as a bit of a strange pick given that Miller was rocked by the Astros in his last start. In fairness, though, that was his worst start of the season, where he has had limited starts but has still managed to put together a 3-1 record. Even with that poor showing last time out, the Dodgers did still manage to pick up the win, so no damage done. Friday night will see Miller face the Royals in what should be a return to form.

MLB Odds and Picks: Pitchers to Back in Week 12
Previous Betting News
The midway point of the MLB season is almost upon us as we head into Week 12. The division races are truly starting to heat up now, and it won’t be long before we seriously start to talk about the Wild Card picture and the race for playoff spots. The reason we are not all gung-ho with this at the moment is because history has shown is that things can change quickly in the second half of the season. Teams sitting on top right now might well go in the tank, while those treading water might make some moves that propel them up the standings. For now, our focus is on nothing but the week ahead, so let’s look at 4 pitchers we plan on backing this week to win in the MLB betting odds.
MLB Pitchers to Back after Week 11 of the season | MLB Lines by MyBookie
Nathan Eovaldi
Texas Rangers
The Rangers continue to maintain a 5-game lead atop the AL West and head into Tuesday night on a 3-game winning streak. On Tuesday night, the Rangers will face the White Sox with Nathan Eovaldi on the mound as their starter. Eovaldi has been brilliant thus far, putting together a 9-3 record with an ERA of 2.59. He saw a run of 4-straight wins come to an end with a loss to the Angels last time out, where he surrendered 3 ER. Given what he has done this season, that one feels like a blip on the radar, and I like him to bounce back on Tuesday night.

Kevin Gausman
Toronto Blue Jays
Next up, we move to Wednesday afternoon and Kevin Gausman on the mound for the Toronto Blue Jays against the Miami Marlins. This series got off to a horrible start for Toronto, losing 11-0 in the opening game on Monday night. They will now be looking to get something out of this series, and you could argue that Wednesday is their best opportunity. The Blue Jays have won the last 5 games with Gausman as the starter, which has helped him move to 6-3 on the season with a 3.01 ERA. I like him to pitch another gem on Wednesday.

Shane McLanahan
Tampa Bay Rays
I don’t think I’m making big news by saying that the Tampa Bay Rays are having an amazing season. They have the best record in baseball, thanks in large part to the work they are getting from their starting rotation. You do have to say that McLanahan has been the pick of the bunch though, as he comes into Week 12 sitting at 11-1 with a 2.12 ERA, which very much has Cy Young written all over it. He has won each of his last 3 games, surrendering just 5 runs in 19.2 innings of work. More of the same on Thursday.

Zach Elfin
Tampa Bay Rays
I usually try to pick pitchers from 4 different teams when making these lists, but it is impossible to ignore what the Rays are doing right now with their starting rotation. For this pick, we move to Friday night, with Elfin on the mound to face the Kansas City Royals, which might be enough to already have you placing money on the Rays to win. Elfin is 8-3 with a 3,26 ERA on the season, and while he has taken the L in his last 2 starts, I think he snaps out of that funk with a strong showing against the pretty awful Royals.

MLB Odds and Picks: Pitchers to Avoid in Week 12
Previous Betting News
We are not yet at the halfway point of the 2023 MLB season, although we are getting close, and there are already a handful of teams who are dead in the water, none of whom are truly surprising. Regardless of how bad things are for those teams, they need to play out the season and watch as their stats get progressively worse. As we look ahead to Week 12, it would be easy to simply target those teams and the pitchers who are getting lit up. While we may have a couple of those types on this list, what we are looking for is mismatches on the mound that might lead to us all making some money, so let’s take a look at 4 pitchers we will be avoiding this week in the MLB betting odds.
MLB Pitchers to Avoid after Week 11 of the season | MLB Lines by MyBookie
Johan Oviedo
Pittsburgh Pirates
After an amazing start to the season, the Pirates are now sinking like a stone, losing 7 in a row heading into Tuesday night. They will face the Chicago Cubs, a team that has won 8 of their last 10 games, including a Monday night tilt versus the Pirates. While the Cubs will have Marcus Stroman on the mound, the Pirates will have Oviedo, who is now winless in his last 5 starts, 3 of which ended with him taking the L. He has taken the loss in back-to-back games, and I would not be surprised to see that run extended to 3 games on Tuesday.

MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Michael Kopech
Chicago White Sox
In fairness to Kopech, he has not been that bad in his last 2 starts, but he has received almost nothing in the way of run support from the White Sox, who managed just 3 total runs in his last 2 outings. I think we might well see a similar format happen on Wednesday night, with Kopech set to face the high-flying Texas Rangers. Again. This might not prove to be a terrible start, but I’m not so sure the offense can help in any meaningful way, which is why I have to bet against him in this game.

Alex Wood
San Francisco Giants
It’s pretty much slim pickings on Thursday night, which is why I had to go with a pitcher to sit that I’m sure many of you will disagree with. Wood has been lucky in that he has had some fantastic run support from the Giants when he has started. He got the W in his last start, a 15-0 win over the Dodgers, but let’s look at the 3 games prior to that one. He gave up 11 ER in 13.1 innings of work, but he was, for the most part, bailed out by the offense who still found a way to win 2 of those 3 games. That won’t always happen, though, which is why I am betting against him this week.

MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Luis Ortiz
Pittsburgh Pirates
It was fun to watch the Pirates surprise everyone in the early part of the season, but that seems like a long time ago now, as they are currently on a 7-game losing skid. On Friday, they will be in the road at the red-hot Miami Marlins, and I think they might be in some trouble with Ortiz ser to get the start in that one. The Pirates have only won 2 of the 6 games that Ortiz has appeared in this season, and he is now 1-3 on the year with a 4.30 ERA. I think he could be in for a long night on Friday versus the Marlins.
