Warriors vs Heat First Meeting
Miami goes for the season sweep as it won 114-102 at Golden State on Dec. 28 despite the Heat playing without Jimmy Butler, Caleb Martin and Josh Richardson due to injury. Tyler Herro had 26 points and seven rebounds, but he’s currently out hurt as well. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson scored only 13 points each for the Warriors. Curry was held off the board until he hit a 3-pointer with 3:44 remaining in the second quarter. The Warriors were limited to 37-of-88 (42%) shooting. They were 8 of 33 (24.2%) from 3-point range. The Heat have won four of the last five against Golden State in Miami and are 34-36 all-time versus the Warriors during the regular season, including 20-14 in home games.
Why Bet on Golden State Warriors?
The Warriors (36-34) are trying to hang onto the West’s final play-in tournament spot but are on a two-game skid after a 114-110 loss at Minnesota on Sunday to start a five-game road trip. Anthony Edwards scored 23 points and made 3 of 4 free throws in the final 12 seconds for the Wolves, who matched their season best with 21 3-pointers on 40 attempts. The Timberwolves swept the regular season series against the Warriors (3-0) for only the second time in their history (1997-98, 4-0).

“The habits were much improved tonight — the defensive focus, the effort, the energy,” coach Steve Kerr said. “I’m confident that if we compete and play like that these last 12 games that we’re going to put ourselves in position.”
Steph Curry led Golden State. It was second time in the last five games Curry has topped 30 points, and the future Hall of Famer looks fully recovered from the ankle injury that cost him the three games prior. During that stretch, the 36-year-old has averaged 25.6 points, 5.6 boards, 4.4 threes and 4.2 assists per game.
Klay Thompson had 16 points — five Warriors finished Sunday’s game in double figures, with Thompson being the lone reserve to do so. He’s scored 16 points or more in five straight and eight of his last nine games. Trayce Jackson-Davis recorded a career-high three steals and two blocks, his fifth-straight multiblock game and 16th of the season. Chris Paul (2,598 career steals) needs two to reach 2,600 and join only John Stockton and Jason Kidd as the only players to reach that milestone in NBA history.
The Warriors have won 10 of their last 13 road games, losses at Boston (March 3), Dallas (March 13) and Minnesota (March 24). The Celtics ended the Warriors’ season-high eight-game road win streak. Eight of the Warriors’ 10 road wins have been by 10-or-more points (including four of the last five), and three by 20-or-more.
Since February 5, the Warriors are tied with Boston and New Orleans for the most road wins (10). Golden State is ranked second in rebounding (48.1 rpg), fifth in assists (29.5 apg), sixth in scoring (117.4 ppg), tied second in 3-pointers made (14.3). The Warriors are tied fourth in opponent field goal percentage (45.9 FG%) and 12th in opponent scoring (112.1 ppg).
This season, the Warriors reserves have outscored the opponent’s in 48 of the 70 games. Golden State’s bench is outscoring the opponent’s, 3,034 to 2,295, a difference of 739. The Warriors’ 43.3 points per game is ranked third in the NBA, behind Indiana (46.6) and Utah (44.2). The Dubs have played in 41 clutch games this season (score within five points with five minutes remaining in the game), tied with Atlanta for the most in the NBA. Golden State is 19-22 in those 41.

Why Bet on Miami Heat?
Miami comes off a very impressive 121-84 win over Cleveland on Sunday as the Heat try to avoid the East play-in tournament but would be in it as the No. 7 seed as of this writing. The Heat lead the Cavs by as many as 45 points. The Heat’s biggest lead this season entering Sunday was 33, also against Cleveland on Nov. 22, and the 45-point cushion was their largest since leading Chicago by 46 in a playoff game on May 8, 2013. The Heat did it playing without Tyler Herro, Kevin Love, Duncan Robinson and Jaime Jaquez Jr.

“Mentally, physically, we’re worn,” Cavaliers coach J.B. Bickerstaff said. “It’s on us all to figure it out. There’s no excuses. It doesn’t get any easier. But I just think tonight was one of those nights where collectively, it just set in on us.”
Herro at a minimum will remain out Tuesday. He has currently connected on a three-point field goal in 28-straight games, tying the second-longest streak of his career. Herro has currently made 718 three-point field goals in his career, just the fifth player in franchise history to connect on at least 700 treys.
Bam Adebayo had 15 points and 16 rebounds in just 28 minutes in Sunday’s win for his 186th career-double-double, taking sole possession of the third-most in franchise history. Only Rony Seikaly and Alonzo Mourning have recorded more in Heat history. Adebayo has recorded six double-doubles across his last seven appearances, and his role as a key two-way figure for the Heat is not under any question at the moment, with a solid argument to be made that he’s overtaking Jimmy Butler as the go-to player on offense at times. Adebayo is averaging 17.9 points, 10.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game since the All-Star break.
Butler had 15 points and six assists Sunday. He only attempted six shots from the field — his second-lowest mark of the season. Butler is averaging 21.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.4 steals per game this season. Terry Rozier added 14 points and has settled as the team’s third-best offensive alternative behind Butler and Adebayo. Rozier III dished out five assists with no turnovers vs. Cleveland, marking his seventh zero turnover game since joining the Heat on Jan. 23. He has now dished out 123 assists and committed just 32 turnovers with Miami, resulting in a 3.84 assist-to-turnover ratio, which would be the third-highest ratio for a single-season in franchise history.
The Heat have already set a franchise record with 34 different starting lineups used this season. The previous Heat record for most different starting lineups used in a season was 31 in the 2014-15 season. The only players on the current roster who have not yet started a game for the Heat this season are two-way contract players Cole Swider and Alondes Williams.
“There’s always going to be a benefit,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. “A lot of guys get to step up and earn the opportunity to impact winning. The more players that can be engaged in a season and impact wins, that helps. Our versatility is super important for our team. So we feel like we’ve been able to weather some of the missed games.”
Miami is allowing just 108.9 points per game this season, the fourth-least in the NBA, and have now held opponents to under their season scoring averages in 23 of their last 24 games, doing so by an average of -12.4 points per game over that span.

2022 Warriors vs Heat Betting
We are at the stage of the NBA season where it begins to make sense to talk about potential playoff matchups and which teams might represent their respective conferences in the NBA Finals. Of course, we are all well aware that anything can happen once we get into the postseason, but there are some definite favorites emerging on both sides. When thinking about potential Finals matchups, you have to say that this has a chance to be one of them. The Heat are on top in the Eastern Conference, and while the Warriors are sliding a little, they still need to be considered a threat in the West. The odds for this one will be up on Wednesday morning, but let’s look ahead to what promises to be a fun game so you can bet against their NBA Odds.
NBA Betting Preview for Golden State Warriors at Miami
NBA Wednesday Betting: Warriors versus Heat
- When: Wednesday, March 23 at 7:30 PM EST
- Where: FTX Arena, Miami
Why bet on the Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors were already in a bit of a slump before losing Stephen Curry to injury, but things are even worse now. They head into their Tuesday night game having lost 2 in a row and 6 of their last 10 and will be looking to rectify that before heading to Miami for what will be a tough outing. I think they will get the win over Orlando on Tuesday, but this one might be a bit of a different story. While the Warriors have mot been at their best, they have been a decent bet against the spread, going 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games. Things are not quite as convincing versus teams with a winning record, with Golden State going 3-7 ATS in their last 10 outings in those games. The UNDER has been trending for the Warriors, with 5 of their last 6 going that route, but 7 of their last 8 versus teams with a winning record have gone OVER.
Why bet on the Miami Heat
While it is certainly not a done deal yet, the Miami Heat have established themselves at the top of the Eastern Conference, and despite losing their last outing, they still have a 2 ½ game lead over the chasing pack. When looking at the Warriors, we see that they become a less likely pick when going against the better teams in the league, but that is certainly not the case with the Heat. They are in fact a rather impressive 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games versus teams with a record of .600 or better. They are also 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games versus teams with a winning record. There is also a trend to like when looking at the point total, with the OVER hitting in the last 4 games that the Heat have played against teams with a winning record.
Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction
It’s tough to make a totally accurate prediction without knowing what the odds are, but there are a couple that I am willing to make. I like the Heat to win straight up, but I also really like the OVER in this one.
Pick: Golden State Warriors 110 Miami Heat 121
