NBA Week 16 Betting Picks & Predictions for this Week's Best Matches

NBA Week 16 Betting Picks & Predictions for this Week’s Best Matches

Parity isn’t something we have really been used to in the NBA for quite some time, as there are usually 2 or 3 teams who are head and shoulders above the rest. That seems to have changed, though, as you could well make an argument that every team, minus four, are still in with a shot at making it into the playoffs. The battle for postseason places looks as though it really is going to go all the way down to the wire, with the play-in format now looking to be a very good addition to how things are done. We are not looking too far ahead, though, as all we are concerned about now is the week ahead, so let’s look at the NBA games odds stand out in the schedule.

Top Week 16 Betting Matchups and Picks for this Week

Sacramento Kings at Minnesota Timberwolves – Monday

The pick of the Monday night games has to be this one, as it will have an impact on the overall conference standings. Right now, the Kings are a couple of games ahead of the Timberwolves. Sacramento is currently in the #3 spot in the West, with Minnesota a couple of spots back. It was the T-Wolves who won the earlier meeting this season, which also came on home court, but it was a close one. I have a feeling we will see another tight one here, but who will come out on top?

Miami Heat at Cleveland Cavaliers – Tuesday

Things are also tight over in the Eastern Conference, although we are beginning to see the top teams pull away just a bit. The Cleveland Cavaliers are down in the #5 spot, and 3 games back of Memphis in the divisional race. The Heat are clinging to the #6 seed and must surely be feeling the teams in the play-in zone breathing down their necks. Miami will b hoping for a much better showing this time around versus the Cavs after getting blown out in their previous meeting.

Brooklyn Nets at Boston Celtics – Wednesday

They don’t come much bigger than this one, with both of these teams looking to establish their dominance in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics are in the #1 spot in the East and winners of 7 of their last 10 games. The Nets are down in the #4 seed and trying to get back to winning ways after going just 4-6 in their last 10 games. This is not the game they probably wanted right now, though, as they have already lost twice to the Celtics this season, with both losses in their own building.

New Orleans Pelicans at Dallas Mavericks – Thursday

The playoffs are tough enough without having to go through the stress of the play-in games. Every team wants to avoid that road, but as it stands right now, both the Pelicans and Mavericks are in the play-in zone. This will be the 3rd meeting of the season for these teams, with both of the previous games going the way of the home team, which suggests that Dallas might have a bit of an edge here. This is especially true when you consider that the Pelicans are coming into this week on an 8-game losing skid.
